I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW HARD IT IS FOR SOME TO BELIEVE GOD!

Hi, its Natu on the line. Going to 'Jumma' namaz and listening to the pre-salaat discussions would often make me laugh, and I used to confuse people sat around me as to why I would use my thumbs and index finger to push down the bulging of my checcks trying to hold in my involuntary outbursts whenever I would heard that stupid character at the front make an outright senseless joke of himself while everyone nodded their heads thinking he knows what he's on about. One such occurence was when an imam was trying to make the point that we should all compete with each other to get to the mosques first on fridays. He said the first person to arrive would get the credit the size of a chicken, the second would get credit the size of an egg, and those after them would get less successively. First I contemplated over whether God was going to use weighing sclaes or a mesuring tape to measure out and give the 'credits'. Then I said to myself, we've got 2 imams at this mosque, so does that mean that they get to run off with the chicken and the egg, while everybody else is a loser? But then I'd satisfy myself in thinking these things were just made up on the spot and not from hadith and the Quran, but then only last ramadhan (if it was ramadhan, well according to the pish posh lunar calendar in was) Nural Amin, one of my bestest friends, who was 2 steps ahead of me showed me an article headed 'hadith and Sunna - Satanic Innovations' - Then I considered it, and asked the guy upstairs for his help, then I read Quran translations and articles on websites such as this and 19.org. And now I'm here believing everything God has said, and even the bit where he says that the reading is fully detailed and complete. Although at the moment i'm still pondering over what this Aidid Safar character is saying, I definitely follow the Quran alone, and I believe in the 19 miracle. But the biggest thing that strikes me wham in the face is how people can be so proud of themselves to not even consider belivieving God. I try so hard writing articles and showing examples of hadith to convince my peers at college and at home that this is the right way, but now I realise what God means when he says he has put a veil over thier hearts. No worries, as long as I'm alright lol. I'd like to thank Edip Yuksel (What a great man) for being my virtual teacher, and such a great personality; Layth for his top notch articles including '19-fact or fiction' and 'Calendar and Time', and eveybody else involved in this movement, Nural Amin in particular for showing me that first article and never losing energy to chat about Islam, what a great guy. I hope the big timer's got some goodies for you all on the last day. And this is directed at the Big Timer himself TOP LAD!, thanks for helping me steer myslef out of idolatry, and for provinding those puppets with long beards and longs lists of lies for my amusement. NuralBut I am happy living with "unbelievers"? They can be nice bunch of people -) honest, better than so called "believers!
And if I was to be stranded on a desert Island, I think I will choose to be with a nice "unbeliever" rather than a "believer" (at least we will have something to talk about!!! -) )
A priest and a rabbi were sitting next to each other on an
airplane.
After a while, the priest turned to the rabbi and asked, "Is it
still a requirement of your faith that you not eat pork?"
The rabbi responded, "Yes, that is still one of our beliefs." The priest then asked, "Have you ever eaten pork?"
To which the rabbi replied, "Yes,on one occasion I did succumb to temptation and tasted a ham sandwich."
The priest nodded in understanding and went on with his
reading. A while later, the rabbi spoke up and asked the priest, "Father, is it still a requirement of your church that you remain celibate?"
The priest replied, "Yes, that is still very much a
part of our faith."
The rabbi then asked him, "Father, have you ever
fallen to the temptation of the flesh?
The priest replied, "Yes, rabbi, on one occasion I was weak and broke with my faith."
The rabbi nodded understandingly and remained silent, thinking, for about five minutes.
Finally, the rabbi said, "Beats a ham sandwich, doesn't it?"the above is from an "unbelieving" friend of mine....

I agree that we shouldn't exile people just for disbelieving, but I would personally like to be around more of the people that can share more with me and also that would make it easier for us to progress and strive towards good things. Although the community is small it has a big effect, I would just like more good examples around me because I think its nicer being around people who are nice.
Lotetree, I didn't give you my definition of believers and disbelievers, currently I am around many people that teach me lots of good things and I respect them and don't consider myself to be superior in the Most High's eyes.
I don't go around labelling people believers and disbelievers nor do I intend to. I don't know how most of the member define these categories if they do but my definition is basically anyone who wants to do good and speaks good is a good person in my book but thats just my opinion.
I'm just expressing my desire to see change, a revolution for the better. People being more interested and mentally active and pursuing something beyond this world!
