Do you agree? The splitting of the sea.

I have read following explanation of the splitting of the sea in the article. It was a long article but I am copying pasting the relevant section below and would like all of you to share your opinion.
"The Qur?an does not support the idea that the Red Sea split into two enormous walls of water through which Moses crossed. Instead, the Quran (4425) states that Moses took advantage of the changing of tides ? crossing at ebb tide, when the water recedes so much that one can cross by foot. Here, the Quran employs the word rahwan, which means ?calm? as well as ?an intervening space? ? an apt description of the receding tide. According to the Quran, God told Prophet Moses to cross during the time of low tide, ?Then We revealed to Moses, saying, ?Strike the sea with thy rod.? Thereupon it parted, and every part looked like a huge sand-hill? (2664). Pharaoh, following at some distance with chariots and heavy armaments, arrived at the Red Sea after Moses had already crossed and fell victim to the rising tide (2665-67). In fact, the scientific periodical PLoS ONE recently published an article on the plausibility of this event, particularly examining a phenomenon known as ?wind setdown.? In addition, not only is the account scientifically tenable, but the French revolutionary Napoleon survived a similar experience during his life".

2661 - "When the two groups saw each other, Moses' companions said, We are sure to be overtaken. Moses replied, No, My Lord is with me, and He will guide me. So We inspired Moses ?Strike the sea with your staff,? and the sea was split, each part was like a huge mountain.
Really couldn't be clearer! Most definitely the sea was parted when Moses was instructed to strike it with his staff.

One such narrative is about the Exodus of the sons of Iesraa'eel alai'his'slaam from Egypt to Peninsula of Sinai. Narrative is a Factual Recount. Narrative texts have to do with real-world events and time. The purposes of narrative may be to inform, to persuade and/or to correct the record, rectify the falsities gleaned by people from the Epistemology of Testimony.
Narrative writing uses time as its deep structure. Language features of narrative text are
Adverb of time.
Past tense.
Time conjunction (when, then, thereat, suddenly, etc)
Specific character. The character of the episode is specific, not general.
Action verbs. A verb that shows an action.
Direct speech. It is to make the episode lively.
