      Dear Sardar,

I am just very confused at this moment.
How is it decided who will go to hell and who will go to heaven?

In Quran it says that idol worshippers will go to hell for assigning partners to God. But what if lets say the idol worshipper is a good and kind person. Does he deserve to go to hell?

what if the person is disbeliever, but he is truly good and not evil, does he deserve to go to hell?

Actually more than that, they know the truth in them and they try to conceal it (Read 2134 to 163)

Let me fix something Read 2134 to 182

          Dear Sardar,

          I read it.

it says 'Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers - upon them will be the curse of Allah and of the angels and the people, all together'

so as i understand no matter how good disbeliever is, he is still condmned to hell?

Actually how is that possible because you are confusing me. In Surah 9 the kafirs & and many of idolaters were very hostile towards believers and in 2134-182, 289-109, 626, 2714, 3542-43, 3670, 4126, 4732 the kafirs tried conceal when they heard the truth in The Book when the messenger came with clear proofs like in 4083 and 5725. How do you know that the idol worshiper & the disbeliever are good when they are denying the good thing that Allah/God (SWTAY) has given us.

Did you read verse in context? In fact what verse is it? Forgive me but i'm beginning to think that you are not reading the verses in context to get the full story.

Because I know many disbelievers and idol worshippers who are kind and do good deeds. They are a lot of them among my family and friends, just because they deny quran, it does not make them bad, does it?

Deny how exactly? Are you sure it was not because of faulty translations like mistranslation of 434 (http//www.quran434.com/wife-beating-islam.html) or the misconceptions about The Qur'an? http//www.misconceptions-about-islam.com

Plus you say they are "disbelievers" and "idol worshipers", exactly how do you came into that conclusion with the exception of "denying" the Qur'an

Actually i said 2134-182, 289-109, 626, 2714, 3542-43, 3670, 4126, 4732 4083 5725 and the surrounding verses (before and after). i thought was clear but oh well. My point is anyone can become a kafir when they KNOW the truth in The Qur'an and reject and conceal what is in The Book. That was my point the entire time. I hope this has cleared everything.

yes, for example my father was muslim, then he had misunderstanding about Quran and he started to deny it.

Also I have some friend who again perceive islam unlogical. and then I also have some friends who pray to jesus and who sincerely believe he is gods son.

Sorry dear sister but it's getting late and i am tired now. I hope my answers has helped you now. If not then i don't what else to say but study verses that involves the kufr IN CONTEXT (not yelling, highlighting) of course because you will never get the full story if you just read one or two verses about this topic. Context is a very important key to understanding The Divine Revelation and Allah (SWTAY) knows what is in your chests. Just explain me WHY according to Quran kaffirs and idol worshippers should burn in hell just because they didnt not believe in divinity of islam?

Why person is condemned to hell according to his beliefs and not his actions and good deeds?

If any of you were born in "Kaffir" or "Idol Worshipping" culture, then there's 99% of probability that you will be one.

I share your opinion, that belief / tradition / culture / religion should not be 'judged' or deserved a 'punishment'. It is his/her 'character' that count.

I have witnessed good and bad / rotten souls (and anything in between) across myriad of religion / tradition / culture, monotheist / polytheist / atheist. None are superior than others. Infact those who think that they're superior compared to others, those who think that they are the most enlightened compared to others, those who think that they are the most pious compared to others, are usually the 'rotten' one.

"For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted."

Also be careful of traditional biased translations of Qur'an, many of them has some discrepancies like the claim of "cutting hands off"

Destined to hell? Where does it say that Christians are destined to Hell? In fact the arabic word Al-Nas?r? (&#1575 doesn't mean Christian, that's masihiun (&#1610.

                                        Root word of Al-Nas?r?

Besides you may not have seen this

                                          From http//www.misconceptions-about-islam.com/muslim-or-hell.htm

Background Some think that a person must be a Muslim to enter paradise/heaven, and if not, they will go to Hell once they die.

The Quran repeatedly states the criteria for success as monotheism, recognition of accountability and being righteous

Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Nazarenes*, and the Sabians, whoever believes in God and the Last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear upon them, nor shall they grieve.

Those who believe, and those who are Jewish, and the Sabiens, and the Nazarenes*; whoever of them believes in God and the Last Day and does good works, then they will have nothing to fear nor will they grieve.
*commonly translated as "Christians" but more likely refers to the followers of Jesus of Nazareth, hence Nazarenes.

The Quran also states that there are some of "the people of the book" (i.e. followers of previous revelations) that are righteous and will be rewarded

And if the followers of the Book had believed and guarded (against evil) We would certainly have covered their sins and We would certainly have made them enter gardens of bliss.
And if they had observed the taurat* and the injeel* and that which was revealed to them from their Lord, they would have enjoyed happiness from above and beneath them, there is a party of them keeping to the moderate course, and (as for) most of them, evil is that which they do.

*commonly translated as Torah and Gospels respectively.

They are not all alike; of the followers of the Book there is an upright party; they recite God's communications in the night and they adore (Him).
They believe in God and the last day, and they enjoin what is right and forbid the wrong and they strive with one another in good deeds. These are of the righteous.
And whatever good they do, they shall not be denied it, and God knows those who are forethoughtful.

Also on the Nazarene if you are interested (very long reading)
