. why would God come down with a surah regarding adoption right when Mohammed wanted to marry his adopted son's wife?
I started praying again, but I still am not convinced.

Because to inform/remind that adopted son is not your real son.
you can adopt sons and daughters and if you want to marry to them you can also marry.

    Al-Ahzab 334

Allah has not made for a man two hearts in his interior. And He has not made your wives whom you declare unlawful your mothers. And he has not made your adopted sons your sons. That is your saying by your mouths, but Allah says the truth, and He guides to the way.

I had left Islam many times over, then decided to leave mainstream islam and follow Quran alone, but there are still many questions unanswered.
such as, why would God allow Mohammed to have so many wives and go even further to tell the umma in the Quran that he can have any woman if she desires to marry him. why would God come down with a surah regarding adoption right when Mohammed wanted to marry his adopted son's wife?
I started praying again, but I still am not convinced.

      Salam
As Allah has created man and woman he understand best their individual physical and psychological requirements. Physically and psychologically men and women are not created the same. Man is created by nature physically polygamous and women by nature as monogamous. Women have psychological need of security and to appear beautiful physically and psychologically to their spouses and other select group of Mehrems. Human beings will be most fulfilled and satisfied when their physical and psychological needs are fulfilled. Allah is the best one to set rules in this regards as He knows His creations best. That is the reason we see statistically much more instances of men infidelity compared to women as man's physical needs are different than woman's. Women are prone to infidelity in much fewer instances than men and mostly when their need to appear beautiful is not fulfilled by their spouses or there is some psychological problem.

Regarding a couple of Ayats e.g 3337 and 3350, an explanation is provide in below link

That women are naturally monogamous and males poligamous is nonsense. People will do whatever you allow them to and make them think that it is their right normal or that they can get away with it. That is not poligamous or monogamous nature, but abusive nature which we all have.

Normally the number of females and males is balanced so normally and naturally no room for more oligamy of one sex than other. If you admit that then you have to admit that both sexes must be poligamous.

That is th e classical nonsense with which still some muslims seek to perpetuate rights which the Qur'an does not provide for at all.

Poliamy is nto prohibited int he Qur'an, neithe to males nor to females, but the norm is monogamy.

Please, no more that comfortable assumption that "nature" whatever that is, makes allowances for the whims of males but not of females.

        Salaam

Allah is not shy of the truth. No need to make new interpretation to please peoples.

Indeed, those who disbelieve - it is all the same for them whether you change it to spiritual or physical - they will not believe.

Does Quran have instructions for women to have multiple Nikahs?

Where are your instructions for multiple men' nikah. 4.3 is not valid even if it has been misued to purport poligamy. So forget that one, it is a fraud. And even so where are the instructions there for multiples nikah of one amn at the same time with several women.

Don't you think that it has already been palyed around enough with the Qur'an to entrench certain ridiculous privileges?

What does it bother you whether there are or there are no isntructions for this ot that kind of multiple nikah. You are not olbiged to enter into one if you do not want. Nobody is, either to enter a poligamous marriage or a single marriage. So why so much militancy?

Why are some men so militant with their purported privileges. Do they loose an arm or a leg or something if women get some licences like they take for granted for themselves?

              Salaam

                @ quran about multiple marriages

although its an event of war was going on and the purpose of those nikka is to support orphans and save women from becoming a public property thats y that aya was for specific people at somewhere in past but not a forceful thing author advise them not to mary if u cant do justice among wives/kids then stay on just one

i dnt think at this time space this aya need to apply on us

                @ history of societies

as we see its a bitter truth from dawn of humankind we see men having different partners/wives at same time including muslims as well as ancient people and intrestingly women accept and share their men due to different compromises as they see they cant change it so accept it specially when the figures like prophets do multiple marriages then women think becoz its the nature of man so accept it as it is

but from last hundred years when women are in power now things are taking uturn unfortunately society didnt accept it even no women want to share two men ? thats somewhere all this thing stuck up

man cant tell what is the nature of women same like women cant tell whats the nature of man as we see both males and females got different habits and taste and both do same when they want to do it

so saying that women got monogomus nature is not correct same like saying men have polygamous nature

question remain why we experienced women accpet sharing their husband but we never see two man share one women ?

sisters can think about this and lot of new perceptions will come in their mind

Bro, that's not correct and in fact is against Quran. Spreading of the seeds theory was debunked by scientists long time ago. Men do carry the monogamy hormone. Even God says a man can never love two women at the same time.

Does Quran have instructions for women to have multiple Nikahs?

Multiple marriages are forbidden for men too

And marry the unmarried among you and the righteous among your male slaves and female slaves. If they should be poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty, and Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.2432

. Human beings will be most fulfilled and satisfied when their physical and psychological needs are fulfilled.

                  That's from hadith.

Bro, I wish you would ask God for forgiveness because of what you wrote above without knowledge unless you have chosen to be an atheist.

The prophet did not adopt anyone. He took take of several people by aiding them financially and being a guider to those that needed him that is not considered adopting. He had many wives because that was the norm back then. Get your mind out of the 7 century lifestyle. There are two types of relationships in the quran a contract based relationship and a sacred marriage similar to the christians. That is how the prophet married khadija he did it the scared way by taking an oath(mithaq ghaliz). After she had passed his life changed. His marriages were very progressive, he chose to take care of women who were widows, women with several children, wonen of different faiths. He set an example that its ok to marry previously married women and the orphans mother these women were considered expired and useless in arabia. Its not for pleasure, Even aisha she was definetly not a child because the early narrations showcase a very mature opinionated young lady who would stand up for women if something is said against them and advising the prophet and she later on was a scholar and a preacher in her own right. All these marriages were never pleasure based. I think its silly to dislike the prophets marriages we live in the 21 century society back then was like that. Dont judge the prophet we weren't there with him to know the exact events in full detail concerning his life. His job is to deliver the message through the quran. The prophet is not god hes human and its unfair to judge his marriages and life in 7th century arabia.

3337 And you said to the one who was graced by God, and graced by you
?Keep your wife and reverence God,? and you hid inside yourself
what God wished to proclaim. And you were concerned with the
people, while God was more deserving that you be concerned
with. So when Zayd ended his relationship with his wife, We
had you marry her, to establish that there is no wrongdoing for
the believers in marrying the wives of their adopted sons if their
relationship is ended. And the command of God is always done.

3338 There is no blame on the prophet in doing anything that God has
decreed upon him. Such was the way of God with the people of
old. And the command of God is a determined duty.

                        very logical wordings

i ll add more if one have to finalised anything what he bring to the nation then he must have to set example for doing this

if he did this we dnt see what was it for arab society at that time.

example makin a relationship with elder woman/divorced women/adopted sons wife/age difference limits. all these things may appear bad for that society as they think its not worthy to marry these womens thinkin them as useless humans. so he made that example by doing it with the permission of his lord its a brave kind of work as it was not common in society and even in verses God is advising prophet not to b worried about society.

may b its also a part of his mission to do so and save the life of lot of girls who come after his death
interestingly no source shows any kids from the other women apart from khadeeja coz untill he was with khadeeja he never married 2nd women.

blessing in the name of God
