Brothers and sisters I seek help and true. Many years I've been traditional Sunni Muslim but my soul has cried. I had and still have so many doubts about hadiths and mazhabs, I feel by my heart that something wrong with all this traditional system. I find more peace for my soul in Sufi path like ibn Arabi, Rumi but they were also Sunni.

My biggest problem is that I don't know what to do with my spiritual path. I can't find the truth for my heart. Now I read about qurani path and find it much better and more logical then traditional way. But I have some questions without answers. I'll be so happy if someone can answer

My biggest question. Why God needs a faith? He is the greatest He had no needs so why the first and fundamental demand is believe in God? Not being good person? Without our faith God doesn't lose anything, but without being good person we can harm another person. We can't harm God but can harm human so why the first thing in God's law isn't being nice person?
Two man with absolute same life's path, same good and bad deeds. But one is Muslim and another atheist for example. Why the second one will be punished forever and the first one will be in paradise? Just because different thinks in their heads?
Why monotheism is so important? Why the biggest sin is shirk? God says that He judge people by their intentions so Hindu for example was so sincerely to trying serve to Creator, his intentions was clear but he was wrong with theology. So he'll be punished forever. Why?
It is very hard for me to believe that there is a sin God never never never forgive.
Eternal hell. Problem in every Abrahamic religion. What's the purpose to burn, cut body, pierce eyes etc etc forever? And why punishment is so cruel? I remember when Isis burned people many Muslims said it was sadistic and crazy act... coz only Merciful God can do it in hell.. Whaaat?

I found one quranist and his positions was so close to me. He say the main purpose of faith is to be good person and if someone was good during his life he'll be saved in judgment day even without faith. But! With faith and good deeds together person will be absolutely perfect. He say that God is Almighty and can forgive every sin if He wants and unforgivable sins in Quran is like examples. And he say that cruel tortures in hell is just allegory for help people stop doing bad. I have similar views but there's one problem, I don't find his proofs sound. I don't want to delude myself I want clear true with sound proofs.

God doesn't need 'faith'.
The most important thing FOR you is being a good person.
Due to the God's / Nature's law of what goes around comes around.
Which define on how to be a good person is; Empathy; treat others in the same manner as you want to be treated.

To instill FEAR upon people thus people will obey the ORDER which was actually instilled by King, Caliph, Pope, Emperor, Pharaoh etc.

Regarding 'abrahmic religion', There is no hell in Judaism, within "abrahamic religion" it was invented by Christians, due to influence from Ancient Egyptian religion. The first powerbase of Christianity was in Alexandria (Egypt) before it was shipped to other regions. Islam is actually Christianity 2.0

Those are some solid questions.

All I can say is, keep this mindset that let you move from sunni to quran-centric, and carry on trying to answer those questions.
See if your current way answers your questions in a way that makes the most sense to you. If it does, good for you, if it doesn't then keep moving, or rather, expand...gracefully.

The thing about "truth seeking", at least the genuine truth seeking, is that you don't reject your old knowledge or even despise it in quest for some brand new knowledge. Instead you keep what makes sense to you and expand on the parts that don't. Fairly simple. If you can remain unbiased.

It is guaranteed that you will be deluded many times.
But that is not the issue, the issue is how to detect your own delusion and repair/amend it yourselves. (ie the skill of self criticism and self correction)

The similarity is like learning to walk, it's guaranteed that you will fall many times, you will learn from each mistakes to make you a better walker.

God is not far away, you just need to ask and He will answer.
Everything works as His messengers.

But sometimes you just don't like the answer.
That is why humility is key, only person with humility can realize his/her own mistakes and learn from it.

Bro and what do you think about tortures in hell? I understand that punish/reward system is necessary even in our temporary world but I don't understand why punishment is so cruel. For example, I know families where father has a lot of respect and he doesn't need a belt, load words (or something like that) if his child doing wrong things. All he needs to correct child's behavior is just stare like face to face in mma ) why same method for example don't use in Quran?
By the way I know one organization in Eastern Europe its members former Christians they're very educated etc and they have same views with quranists, they believe in Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him but with some features, one of that is they don't believe in quranic hell conception, they say eternal torture is method for scare people and enemy, manipulate the society.
For example, I know one brother he's Sunni but I've never seen someone like him, if he is late just a few minutes for morning prayer he get really really upset. And sometimes he say me that he suffers from a insomnia cause thinks about hell and fear prevents him to sleep. I don't understand that. By the way ibn Hazm great sunni scholar solved the problem that way, he just said that God is not merciful, He's Ar Rahman, but it's His attribute like God's hand, we believe in that but don't really know what it means.

First one needs to know what is hell?
Qoran says "Mathal" . If it is an allegory ,then it ,means everything you hear about hell as fact is not a fact, because it will be an assumption by us humans since we have not been there nor have a clue what it is, where it is or who is going to be there.
All we can say is that the allegory sounds horrendous, but here on earth some places are horrendous, some people make a clear choice of doing something horrendous or being in something horrendous. Are some people in hell here?
That is why I am saying to you study Qoran yourself ,then conclude after you check what it is saying and why it is saying it. Or are you assuming that what people are saying about Qoran is true?

As for people being scared of hell, this has nothing to do with Qoran. On the contrary, I found nothing to be scared of so far in it.

GOD WANTS PEOPLE TO RECOGNISE HIM AND THE WAY TO DO THAT IS BY QUESTIONING AND CONTEMPLATING ON HIS CREATION, THIS WORLD IS NOT AN ACCIDENT THERE IS A PURPOSE TO EVERYTHING AND HE EXPLAINED IT IN THE QURAN FROM THE TIME OF EARLY MANKIND TILL MUHAMMED. READ THE QURAN YOURSELF WITH YOUR MIND AND THINK ABOUT IT SENTENCE FOR SENTENCE BECAUSE IT GIVES YOU CLEAR DIRECTION. Do not follow tradition unless its useful, Its through struggle and questioning we find peace thats how we all grow, for many they are content with what they know and some are seekers of detail. allah guides in variety of different ways through the NAFS or MENTAL STIMULATION. i no longer question the existence of god because i know he does exists i've been lucky to get my questions answered because i've been seeking truth from the age of 7 and i'm 25 now and fully content alhamdulillah. if you want to talk i'm more than happy to help and share with you my favourite contemporary scholars, researchers, thinkers and books that will help give you answers.

God does not need anything from us. Belief in one God means nothing. But finding trust, peace etc by following commands of one God is what matters. Word "imaan" comes from root which has meanings of peace, trust etc. The commands given to us are meant for our benefit. If we don't follow them we make our life a hell and our progress is stopped in the next life.

There is no punishment from God rather everyone carries its fuel for hell from this life. The hell or heaven will exist till what God wished as per following verses

In my current understanding "shirk" means to follow the commands of someone other than God and "Ghafara" means protection.

Indeed Allah does not give protection if you take partner with Him (getting commands from other than Allah which might turn out to be harmful for you) and give protection other than this to whom who wishes and who associate with Allah surely has fabricated great ithm.

We get protection when we follow God's commands.

See answer to 2nd question above. There is no eternal hell. Concept of hell and heaven is not what traditionalist describe.

My current understanding is that hell and heaven are the states. We are in hell if we regret our actions in this life and in heaven when we give zaka (growth) to ourselves and our surroundings.

Welcome Aliart,

Whatever goodness comes from is from god, whatever bad its from ourselves.
So He is the Goodness provider, and we shed our ego completely saying this. So many things we invent, so many so called good schemes we make, in the end we had come to the stage where we say we caused irreparable damage to the earth.
So we have both good and bad interwined within everything. Sometimes what we think as good may not be actually good and viceversa. So better leave it to Him and be positive that His reliance will bring goodness.
The BhagavatGita says, do you duty and not expect the results, as the results are from God.

And Montheism I think is in a way not fighting about God. Shirk is when one says my god or religion is only the true god or religion, instead we say, my God is so sacred to be assigned only with some specific symbols and as everything comes from Him. Everything is the sign of God, which is monotheism. The Abrahams path is that as per Quran.

Brothers, honesty I feel big fear because of faith, hell etc. I'm afraid of self-delusion. How I can recognize when I accept true because it's really true and when I accept true and it's just desires of my heart and actually not true? And I'm scared to be punished for it.

If good deeds really play main role in this world why Quran curse Christians or pegans just for their beliefs and guarantee them hell?

And why Quran is so difficult to understand? Why it's so easy to make Quran a book of hatred and scare?
I read one article of ex muslim and he said that one of the reasons why he rejected the faith is difficult with Quran, that Quran is the one of the most incomprehensible books of all time.
And this book didn't bring happiness to the world but wars, hatred etc. Even among the qurani movement it's so many paths and different meanings! GOD DOESNT LIKE WHEN PEOPLE MAKE UP FAKE BELIEFS AND PROMOTE IT TO PEOPLE AS TRUTH, GOD DOES NOT HAVE SONS OR DAUGHTERS OR THAT HE CAN BE MOLDED INTO AN IMAGE WHEN HE HASN'T ASKED YOU TO DO IT. CHRISTIANS WHO BELIEVE IN GOD AND THE LAST DAY AND JESUS AND THE COMMANDMENTS AND DO GOOD ARE MUSLIMS FOLLOWERS OF JESUS AS STATED IN THE QURAN.
