Please pick from the list below the reason/s behind why you believe in GOD.
1- I am certain there is the GOD.
2- I know what GOD s traits are.I believe in all of them
3- I do not really know who GOD is, But believe in what I perceive according to me as who GOD could be,
4- I believed but not sure about it now.
5- Any other that I have not mentioned.
Because this is the most basic start on the journey /relationship with GOD.
We need to find out who GOD is. Why only the one GOD. Then we can build from here.In my experience, I was wrong about GOD and did not really know anything of substance. I was making so many assumptions about GOD ,I was dealing with my own made up"god",thinking I was dealing with the GOD.
We can then discuss a bit further to see if you know who you really are and what are your needs and priorities and what is your aim.

i am not Imran , but i would also like to share my opinion about this..
first i have to say , i am happy to live in a world where i can be with my thoughts, i am so happy with these kind of sites , forums, and the information on the net is available to pick ... its opened my eyes , THANK GOD ) ( i know there are alot of wrong information thats why Allah give us our mind , our AQL to use it) , i also acknowledge that the mental state is also an plays a part ( as if you were raised under pressure, your thoughts will be different if you are not raised under pressure)
the question is why do we beleave ....

People doesn't realize what this means...
people are lying to themselves ( knowingly or not) ,they dont know themselfs.....also they are saying we beleave yet i see alot of contradiction in their behavior. biggest misktake they are making is judging others.... dont judge others , check yourself , go develop yourself, be worthy for God/Allah.....i see alot of people who is addictive to materialism, to gain worldly pleasure is their aim....
i learned to not to judge , its not our duty to judge , not our rights... we cant even trust our eyes , our senses all are under influence of our mood and experiences.like the verse about hitting your wife ... this is so wrong , i mean if your trully 100% beleaver you would not hit / beat your wife ( even your kids)!!, hitting ( also yelling or loudly speach/screaming) is act of weakness. or how about cutting the hands of the thief, or killing infidels in the name of Allah ( Allah is not strong enough so their slave have to do it ?? -\ ) , these are wrong , inhumane acts...
if you beleave Quran is from Allah, then you have to know there is no act agains humanity or life himself, if you read agains it, then you read it wrong ....
everytime we mention Basmala , in this every time we mentioned of a creator who is RAHMAAN and RAHIM .. and book(message) or scripture from him is not , cannot be evil...i can say first the idea about Allah its indoctrinated to me, me as former sunni i had to beleave in him... but i was not ... with force you cant beleave in it ... till i saw the truth ( for me) , so for me there is 100% Allah/God/ creator ..
who Allah is for me... i dont know , dont think about that much ..why.... because we cant imagine him... Allah is Unique being with very huge power who is seen by no-one before.... and dont think also how it is in hell and heaven , i cant imagine that also , only i can imagine hell is very awful place to be , and heaven is the place to be...
my wife is not an beleaver like me , she beleave in .... something .. for her its not that important to know if there is a God/ creator , she lives now and if she dead then will she know the truth...but when i check her doing , again i am not judging orso , but in my eyes she is an Angel, i can summit up the good things she is doing but for me is important to know , she is not an MUSRIK / polytheist..my thoughts are everybody is for himselfs, Allah gonna test every one of us , so who am i to say i am right .... only what i can do is show my path , the rest up her. i have kids also ( with her) i did the same thing to them also , i even didnt circumcise my boys , its up to them if they want or not ... i didnt have that choice....
do they beleave ??? i dont know what they beleave , and honestly , if your a young human , and you dont have the experience of life ( note i am not talking about warzones, i know the world is not equaly) you cant force it they have to find it out themselves.... free willsinds MY truth i feel no more alone ( this is hard to explain , i had my family yet i was alone in my self) this gives me joy, i feel the presence of supreme being as a part of me. and no i am hallucinating , my feets are still on the ground. see the world only different... is see a lot of delusions and illusion in this worldly life.
my quest is not endit , it started few years ago, the more i dig in the Quran , the more i get answers yet the more i get questions the more "i understand" the Quran versen the more joy i get from it..
but the weird thing is ( this makes me also stronger) , if i encourage people ( Muslims) to read the Quran in a understandable language, they dont read it ... they rather listen to the sholars then their own , they want to be lead by a shepperd....
atm my biggest fallout is to being haughtiness , my truth is not the same truth as yours or others, i have to watch my behave very carefully , and honestly its not easy ....
if you ask me if i know my self , i can assure you i know my self atleast 80% ... ( why not 100% ... cause few weeks ago i came to know that i can also be mean/ evil , i let my feeling lose ... oooh boy it made me evil... not knowing at that moment what my consequent were. After i made the mistake and saw what negative result it gave , i shocked myself , how could i be that mean/evil.... now i have to live with that ,) ...so if we act in a emotional state it will lead us go astray , use always common sense.....
MAY ALLAH GUIDE US TO THE STRAIT PATH

Yes, it is very important ,if you believe in GOD, to try to know who GOD is. Why?
Because you will then try to become GOD conscious( Aware that you are brought up/watched/supported/looked after/and made to die one day). Angels are doing the work according to GOD s plan on this earth.You will also know that there is accountability. You cannot fool GOD. Once you are aware of GOD s commands/instructions you cannot pretend. Either you comply or not comply but you cannot pretend you do not know.
Therefore you know you are going to be tested in this life. You will also know that you are weak and will make mistakes(knowingly or unknowingly). But your character is going to be shown up . GOD must test your sincerity and effort.
For me. this is a positive way. I imagine the CCTV of GOD is on me 24/7.
The attitude and the person will then undergo a change ,just like tuning to a new wavelength.
One becomes aware of the right priorities. One will also develop a new life of "not expecting things to turn out to your liking" always. If a bad thing happens to you repent and reflect on your decisions. If a good thing happens to you ,GOD has provided it and thank GOD for the blessing . Everyday is a new challenge to keep on the straight path.Love will start to germinate in your heart slowly. The love of GOD ,yourself, your nearest and dearest and all GOD s creations.
Anew motto will start to develop in your head. There are problems in this life but GOD has provided solutions, therefore there is no problem. A positive and humble mind will start to grow on you.A connection with your creator is vital to keep going. You cannot do it on your own. If you sincerely seek the GOD,GOD will respond to you
22 15 ? If anyone thinks that GOD cannot support him/her in this life and in the hereafter, let him/her turn completely to ( the creator in ) heaven and sever ( depending on anyone else). He/she will then see that this plan eliminates anything that bothers him/her.?
You then start to believe GOD s words as the truth.

bundle of thanks for openning this thread in which we only talk about personal observation, events, experiences we will share with the help of modern acceptable science of todays world. ( we will not use qutan,bible, hadith, tora, veda etc)i still beleive in what i can understand when we say we beleive its also mean we know it thats y we beleived, its tricky itself.
so first giving answer to ur question ye s i beleive in UNIVERSAL being who created all this as i already know creation around me exist including u and me so that question was not related with our discussion of the thread we were on about .
people Give him names like creator, manaufacturer, God, bhagwan, Allah and so on i dnt know him perosnally i never met with any of those traditional and greek gods.
but what i believe there is someone who created all of it for a definate purpose either we know the purpose or not its not relevant to the existence of creator.
and now u see whats my stand on God now you can ask what u want to ask as per updated post we will take one thong at time for the benefit of readers it will not b a debate session it will b for figuring something out

I understand that you deduce there must be a creator to all we see around us from your post.
But why are you restricting the created to the origin of one creator? Why not different creators for different things around us?
I mean where do you get the idea of one creator from?For me, I am certain there is and can never be only one originator/one creator to all this because he left His(no gender) signature in all the creations we see around us(Golden ratio). If there were two or more creators, they would be comparable like the creations are. Where as one creator would be the absolute( not comparable) . i.e Unique.
The next natural question that follows according to me is Who is this Creator?
This will then lead to Why ? and how do we know? and does the creator communicate with the creations?....And so on.
This will tie up all the loose ends of the jigsaw of this life and its mysteries/ups/downs...etc.

This basic and important step of "Is there a creator/Intelligence..."behind all this is necessary . Without it I could not make sense of this world.
Also as humans we speak different languages except through Mathematics, The language of Mathematics is universal. We all have the same numbers and laws.
