Theres Halal and Haram in each and everything

    Who says it's not?

My point the majority is not the evidence for what is halal or haram...

it is Argumentum ad populum "is a fallacious argument that concludes that a proposition must be true because many or most people believe it, often concisely encapsulated as "If many believe so, it is so.""

we do Halal if our minds are pure and truthfull with his blessings.

    What is "PURE"?

    Define PURE...

      Greetings and peace, all group

I'm having trouble (pardon the pun) digesting 33 pages of this post.

      Some food for thought

2259 Or the one who passed through a town which had become ruins. He said "How can God possibly revive this after it had died?" So God put him to death for one hundred calendar years, then He resurrected him. He said "How long have you stayed here?" He said "I have stayed here a day or part of a day." He said "No, you have stayed here for one hundred calendar years! Look at your food and drink, they have not changed, but look at your donkey! And We will make you a sign for the people; and look at the bones how We let them arise, then We cover them with flesh." So when it was clear to him what happened, he said "I now know that God is capable of all things!"

Bones and fat are distinct from flesh/meat. I won't rehash the guidance distinguishing fat from flesh.

2267 For every nation We have established rites which they are to fulfill. So do not let the matter fall into dispute. And call upon your Lord, for you are on a guidance which is straight.

It doesn't much matter if there is a scientific or health reason to abstain from eating the flesh of swine or not.

If alcohol is forbidden to believers, is Kosher wine halal? If shellfish are forbidden in the Old Testament but expressly allowed in the Qur'an, how is this reconciled? Does the Qur'an expressly say that feces is forbidden to eat??? Seriously, the Qur'an is a guide for the deen and not a cookbook.

569 Surely those who believe, and those who are Jewish, and the Sabians, and the Nazarenes, whoever of them believes in God and the Last Day and does good works; then they will have nothing to fear nor will they grieve.

If the above refer to religion and not ethnicity, I don't think that diet is of primary concern. This being said, diet can be a rite (which we are to fulfill and not turn into a matter of dispute).

I'm interested in developing peccary as a meat alternative to pork.

May ALLAH see fit to Guide all seekers.

      peace

      ~Abdul-Hadi

        Hello everyone

Pork/swine is forbidden and it is clear.

The reason why pork is forbidden (and an answer to “theory of evolution” below)

If you google it, you will see that pigs and humans share many physical similarities such as same skin, protruding noses, teeth, digestive system, body weight etc Pigs also share many diseases with humans etc

It is as if humans and pigs come from one source yeah?

Well pigs and monkeys/apes were created from humans ... The God tells us clearly in surah 5, verse 60 that He made them from humans ... The God made pigs from humans and that is why pork is forbidden ...

and now to crush the theory of evolution

Please note that there are no adjectives before the word monkeys/apes in verse 60 of surah 5. The God does not quality the pigs and apes of anything but just tells us He made pigss and apes from humans

        However
In surah 7 verse 166 and surah 2 verses 65-66 , The God says that he told the transgressors against the sabbath “be despicable apes” and He made them a deterrent punishment for the those with them and succeeding generations. Please notice how he used the adjective “despicable” These are what the scientists claim to be human “ancestors”. Notice the adjective “despicable” before the word monkeys/apes

There is no Darwin evolution, the ape common ancestors scientists claim are actually transgressors against the sabbath. Also these apes scientists call common ancestor were all found in Africa...and egypt is in Africa ...

Also, regarding the people of Noah, we know who they were. The God tells us in surah 25, verse 37 that He left them as a sign for humankind.

And, yes they are here and we found them.

Please see surah 7, verse 69 where Hud tells his people that The God increased them (people of Hud) in creation vis a vis Noah’s people.

Noah’s people are what we call neanderthals/Denisovans

I think The God left fossils for us as signs and proofs

The Quran is from The God so please spread the word and invite people to His path, as The God says in surah 41 verse 33

        peace

Peace, if they do have more success I wonder if people will stop eating pork because it's borderline cannibalism since they say a pigs DNA is more similar to a humans than an orangutan is.

                    Peace.
Why would anyone look for a list of halal foods from people?
The Creator , the one with complete knowledge and wisdom ,has only given, according to Qoran, four types of food that are forbidden because of harm to all humans.
All the other foods provided by Him for us on earth are halal. One can never exhaust or limit the list of halal foods.

Why has our Creator not provided a list of halal foods for us?
Simply because anything that is edible and you like its taste- If not on the forbidden list-is halal for you. if you follow the Creator s system.
If one is not following the Creator s system ,then the question should not arise.
GOD has not left anymore to be said on halal and haram foods. However humans will always like to have their own say on what GOD has said.

So one has the choice to follow GOD that created and provided all our food or follow humans that cannot create nor provide others with anything.
                    GOD bless.
                    Peace..

It is clearly mentioned in Chapter 5 Verse 1

                      أُحِلَّتْ لَكُم بَهِيمَةُ الْأَنْعَامِ

Pork does not come under الْأَنْعَام therefore it is not HALAL. Same as horses, donkeys and related animals do not come underالْأَنْعَام therefore not only Pork but those animals also do not HALAL.

                        Peace..

What if Member Mahdi Ibrahim is right on this particular topic..

I was wondering, if a believer wants to eat pig fat and bones soup etc other than the flesh of swine, then he slaughter a pig. Right.. Then he takes what is halal out of it and what he gonna do with flesh? Is it Okay he bury them or throw it give to anyone who eats.. I am really confused.. Why would Allah allow all other bodily parts of pigs while forbidding only flesh..
I'm not convinced at right now even though I strongly researched and argued with Mahdi on this topic. But strangely I feel otherwise now.. But not convinced... Soya believer can raise pigs since he can sell lard or fats and bones and heads of pigs?

@Mazhar brother or anyone ... Would you please provide me all possible dictionary meanings of Khinzeer and Laham... Pls. I tried lane but I found only stinking etc.. Lol.. Only for my research purposes...

                        Thank you...

I found this interesting meaning in Lane...

If one takes it as diseased flesh or rotten or stinking flesh why it could be wrong according to wording? But why it could be wrong taking it flesh of swine is well? But what in fact God commanded? Needs to explore...

Well I think I have to clarify why I am so interested to dig this topic again... Surely not coz I am from recent times so interested and attracted towards pork &.. But there is truth... Look..

Even if we say Pork is Haram we could be associating with God (6121) OR even if we say Pork is Halal we could be associating with God unless we convince what indeed God has commanded and forbidden.. Am I sound Okay in basic logic?
Yes avoid pork if it is your choice... No issues at all... But we cannot preach falsehood to people unless we were in ignorance or misguided...

Once I am convinced let me reply next time if God guides me.. Keep researching... God never forbidden one to research His book.. But He only guides to the truth...

                              Dear JKhan!

Please also note some examples of animal names in Arabic that are formed with the suffix "-ير" (-eer)

                              سبعير (sab'eer) - Lioness
                              نمير (nam'eer) - Leopard
                              ذئبير (thi'beer) - Hyena
                              ثعلبير (tha'labeer) - Fox
                              غزالير (ghazaleer) - Gazelle
                              طاووسير (tawooseer) - Peacock

These are just a few examples, and there are more animal names in Arabic that follow this pattern. The "-ير" (-eer) suffix is commonly used to form feminine animal names in Arabic.

                              Peace!

Yeah.. I know that... It doesn't mean which ends in yeer are animals..

So according your understanding of Quran pork is forbidden? After all individuals are responsible for making decisions...

                                    Salam!

Notice that these names are feminine only.

                                    Peace!

Salamun alaika, Sorry brother I did not see earlier you tagged me.

Pig is a family, included in mammals. Long time an Arab lady used to be admn. We discussed. Similar was the position that involved insulin made of pig matter. I recall that I advised not to probe halal haram issue further; and just consider that specifically meat (flesh is not necessarily meat) is prohibited at all the four places describing dietary protocol.

لَحْمٙا; meat from Root ل ح م. Ibn Faris stated it leads to the perception of intergraded, interference, overlap, engage, like the flesh/meat that obvolute, imbricate, overlap some of it in some. Lane's Lexicon "He closed up the hole thereof with a patch; meaning a garment, or piece of cloth, and a skin, or hide. It coalesced, consolidated, closed up, or became closely united." Meat is an eatable, be it of mammals, fish or birds

                                      إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُـمُ ٱلْمَيْتَةَ وَٱلدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ ٱلْخِنزِيرِ

He the Exalted has forbidden upon you people specifically the dead corpse-mammal who has died a natural death, and the blood, and the meat of swine - pig —

Muscles were turned into meat which appears an eatable. Live meat has a neutral pH of around 7m; the final pH of raw meat (dead) is around 5.5 which is more acidic than live muscle. The meat we consume is mostly made up of animal muscles that have gone through a conversion process that begins when slaughtered. Thus Muscle is not meat.

Thank you so much brother.. No need feel sorry..

What you provided with, seems not sufficient for my expansive research unfortunately ...

Meanwhile why you say those died naturally while God has not used such a specific word. If you have hunting dogs and foxes or vultures etc if they catch for you any animal and if they happened to die coz of hunting animals attack or bite, I am sure it is forbidden... Even if you hunt shooting using any weapon be it bow and arrow or pistol if the animal dies before slaughtering I don't think and quite obvious they are forbidden.. You have to slaughter unless seafood... Do you agree according to Quran in your understanding..?

It doesn't necessarily be dead naturally to call maithatha/dead.. Anything dead naturally or unnatural they are dead animals... Aren't they? But slaughter is different and once slaughtered they are not dead but slaughtered.. Yes literally dead but huge difference..

                                        Thank you..

Note flesh even in English has meaning for other than meat of animal.. But.. God's forbidden foods all concerned with animal except probably fourth item which could be even crops etc and definitely animals as well..

I found this interesting meaning in Lane...

If one takes it as diseased flesh or rotten or stinking flesh why it could be wrong according to wording? But why it could be wrong taking it flesh of swine is well? But what in fact God commanded? Needs to explore...

‎2173 ولحم and flesh الخنزىر the swine

cannot be an adjective ie the rotten – if a noun is definite the adjective has to be definite
