Question on Fasting time

Salam to All,
2187 It has been made lawful for you during the night of fasting to approach your women sexually. They are a garment for you and you are a garment for them. God knows that you used to betray yourselves so He has accepted your repentance, and forgiven you; now you may approach them and seek what God has written for you. You may eat and drink until the white thread is distinct from the black thread of dawn; then you shall complete the fast until night; and do not approach them while you are devoted in the temples. These are God's boundaries, so do not transgress them. It is thus that God makes His signs clear to the people that they may be righteous.
When is this "white thread is distinct from the black thread of dawn"
And when is night?
Is night total darkness?

You may enjoy and chill untill the sky start changing its color from dark to light.
Time is not issue here. enjoyment with (XYZ) is the issue.
As i explained fasting from XYZ from dawn till dusk.
I keep thinking about it sometimes strange ideas comes in mind.(fasting from sex is apparent)
What is not apparent example for a smoker he need to fast from smoking.
For a drinker he need to fast from drinking.
For a gambler/gamer he need to fast from gaming.
For a dancer/singer he need to fast from singing.
For a liar he need to fast from lie.
For a milkman he need to fast from adding water.
For a stocker he need to fast from stocking and show generousity.
For a xyz he need to fast from xyz.Purpose of fasting is to control our shortcomings ( MY CURRENT VIEW ).
May God guide us to knowledge.

When the Sun ascends from 12 degree below the horizon to 8.5 degree below the horizon, it provides the same level of illumination on the surface of the Earth as a full Moon directly overhead. -

The verbal noun signifies a state of rubbing and getting away with ease and smoothly. The Sun touches/rubs the horizon and smoothly disappears whereby the night emerges.
