hi, I came across a Kashif Khan proclaiming Salat in the Quran is not a ritual prayer.

I contend it is and that this is proven by the words in the Quran itself.

I wrote a rebuttal and candid feedback on it from this audience would be excellent.

      Peace and welcome.

It is never an easy thing to refute someone s "hadith" with our own. This is simply impossible as people are the most argumentative and egoistic creatures.

It is fine to put our criticism amd view and leave it at that. People can then compare and use their own"hadith" to come to their own conclusion.

I agree with you that "Al"-The- is a specific ,defineD and clear thing in Arabic.
Salat is a general word that can have different meanings in verses depending on the context, where as" The Salat" is a specific thing and its usage across Qoran means the same specific thing.

On a side note , I disagree with you here, quote
"alat mentioned in 3353 has nothing to do with prayer at all! It is in fact about sending blessings and “connecting” (the definition used by KK for SL) with the Prophet (ﷺ) which is what most everyone understood for 1400+ years."

3355 has nothing to do with "sending blessings"? There are many other meanings for "salli" that can fit there easily and make more sense.
Like "support/"- i.e help each other by staying together connected and supporting each other. like
"GOD and His Angels support the prophet . O you who believe, support him also and submit truly- to GOD Alone-."

Anyway, I am only giving an example where all of us can differ in our understanding.
Of course each is entitled to their own .
Thanks for your effort and for giving us your take on this subject.
      GOD bless you.
      Peace.

Sociality is the fundamental characteristic of the created realm, matter and life both. Nothing can exist in isolation and at its own. However, Man needs to be given training and skills required for functioning successfully in the society. The par excellent social activity - event is the socialization of the Subject with the Lord-King-Sovereign. The affectionate Sovereign is he who affords opportunities to his subjects to be in his presence occasionally for sometime for paying homage and seeking blessings of him. The subjects gain strength, feel of security and confidence by being in the House of the Sovereign. It becomes subject's pride.

We as social beings living in societies and states are well aware of the protocols of Subject-Lord Contact. Timings are determined by the Lord. The Subject is required to follow the prescribed dress code and manners of speech and gestures while in the premises of Lord.

Universe is the State of the Sustainer Lord of all the created realm and we are the resident subjects of it. The Sustainer Lord, Allah the Exalted has prescribed and made it mandatory for us to contact Him everyday at intervals. This is called in ArabicAsSalat The time bound Protocol of Servitude and Allegiance.
