          Peace Khizar,

Wow, I wish I could have a life-story as engaging as that! Although I got ito a sympathetic position to Quran-only from another perspective (namely the promise of preservation and internal consistency), I didn't get the chance to experience something as exciting as you have!

          Welcome!

Nice story how the shaytaan leads people astray.

Khi- I think u can say tht 4 urself. The hadith u follow besides Quran r from satan not Muhammad. Bukhari a Persian not acquanited with Arabic comes along after 150 years collecting hadith from here n there. Who gave tht Persian man authroity 2 make up false hadith in the name of the prophet if not satan? Most of the hadith match OT Bible n r therefore actually of Jewish orgin. The Jews wanted 2 influence Muslims by their corrupt ways n u dumbos r actually follwoing them, the Jews, whom u claim 2 hate so much. Man! It cant get more foolish than tht. N plz answer my qs. GOD Bless!

                idmkhizar Said

The Truth was always more important to me than anything else in the world

This is exactly what Hadith followers need to ask them if truth is more important to them OR their own ego and parents/scholar worship.

Man you are on right path keep it up and look forward to exchange ideas.

My background is also from Pakistan/Lahore and currently living in California/San Jose

                  Salam,

I was raised a sunni too.
Were you afraid & confused after going into the "Quranic" only beliefs?
How did you overcome your fears?

Khi- Salam sister. Yes i was afraid but 2 follow wht GOD Commands i.e. the Truth was more important 2 me n with tht in mind i overcame my fears. I was NOT confused anymore, regrading following Quran Alone, after viewing the mathematical miracle in the Quran at submission.org. I knew such patterns cld not be the result of coincidence n i cld not deny this clear truth. Ofcourse there r always confusions with individual understanding of verses in the Quran which i also had n they can be removed with time. One of these was satan being a fallen angel which i cldnt grasp at 1st but then finally did it. GOD Bless!

                      Peace,

Here's my life story back on

Here I'm going to tell you something about my life story that how I used to believe when I was a sunni and as to how I came to realize the Truth and that I was wrong. The part where I start telling you about how fanatic I was is especially interesting.
My name is John Theodor Luther K(born Khizar). My father is Pakistani and my mother German. I was born in Hamelin , Germany, 27th April 1982. Hamelin(also written as 'Hameln' in German) is known as the famous city of the pipe piper whose story many of us have heard. This city is located in West Germany in the state/province of Lower Saxony. The nearest big city to it is 'Hannover', also known as city of international fairs and is well known for the EXPO 2000. In Hamelin there are still painted mice on the foot path which lead to a hall where people immitate the pipe piper as a show which I think takes place once a year. There is also an interesting model clock design in the city center where the pipe piper and the mice are made from stone. They rotate on a platform, I think, whenever the clock strikes 6 or something and the whole clock gives off a nice little melody for about 5 minutes. Well that was a brief introduction of Hamelin for those who did not know. There are about THREE Masjids(Mosques, but actually the word should be translated as 'Places where it is prostrated'. People have turned this common word into a name and have created great confusion thereby. I'll use the Arabic word 'Masjid' here instead of 'mosque&#039 here in Hamelin but they all are unfortunately sunni "Muslims". They were created or set up by the Turkish people who live there. There are many Turkish people in Germany. We can say that the Turkish have got a position in Germany just like the Pakistanis have got in the UK.
One of my uncles lately became a very strict what you can term as fanatic Muhammadan man. By this I mean that he was amongst those who praise and glorify Prophet Muhammad a lot instead of remembering GOD. He used to come once to Pakistan as a 'Peer' or "holy man" and claimed that he knew the meanings of different colours and that he was given these and those special powers by GOD. He became a strict practicing sunni. He used to have a beard, arrange for salat(contact prayer) in the house with congregation, which wouldn't be wrong if the emphasis were on no names besides GOD. And you know what? I actually believed and followed him. Although he now lives a normal life in Germany, he still holds the view that prophet Muhammad is GOD's most beloved and honourable prophet although the Quran clearly commands us to make no distinction amongst GOD's messengers
The messenger has believed in what was sent down to him from his Lord, and so did the believers. They believe in GOD, His angels, His scripture, and His messengers "We make no distinction among any of His messengers." They say, "We hear, and we obey. Forgive us, our Lord. To You is the ultimate destiny."
He recently went so far as to say that GOD, GOD forbid!, had to forgive Adam because he allegedly said ?Oh GOD forgive me for the sake of Muhammad? and then it became necessary for GOD to forgive him since He allegedly loved Muhammad so much. He also talks about theories where satan , angels and our souls are all electricity or a type of ionic material which have special powers to change dimension and such, which would not be wrong if he didn't add the statement that on every person's cells it is electrically inscribed that 'There is no god but GOD' AND ' Muhammad is His messenger'. He always has to add this and he lays special emphasis on Muhammad as if GOD fobid, GOD would do anything for him instead of vice versa. But still I love my uncle very much and he loves me too and I can only pray that GOD guide him rightly.
So now to continue. When I was seven years old, I, my younger brother, who is my only brother(i have no sister either) six years younger than me, and my parents came to live in Pakistan. I had come to Pakistan when I was three years old as well but only for a temporary visit at that time. Primarily, or so I was told, we came to Pakistan because I had a very terrible allergy against pollen and mites which are in a great number in Germany and I'm still quite allergic to those things. The other, rather real, issue was because of the bad society in Germany and since my father knew Pakistan to be an "Islamic" country he decided that we should go and live there. I had studied only two classes in Germany i.e. classes 1 and 2. I never regularly attended Kindergarten before that. However I did use to ask my mother a lot of questions every now and then as to how is this possible and how is that. She was always willing to answer me and in this way my logical thinking was strengthened.
When I came to Pakistan I first found it to be quite strange and dirty but then I got adjusted to it with the time. The ceiling fans, which I hadn't seen before in Germany, were also new to me and I kept playing with them. At that time I didn't know Urdu, English or Punjabi but ONLY German. But as you know as young children we learn very quickly. While speaking with different people and while attending nursery classes in Pakistan I finally managed to speak the language i.e. Urdu. I got to know Punjabi at a later stage. By the time I was then nine years old but unfortunately I was put two classes back i.e. into class 2 because I did not know to speak English which was a basic requirement if I later wanted to do O' and A'Level instead of the local Metric and Intermediate. So I studied there and made friends. I was always particularly interested in 'Islam', not knowing that what I was being taught was actually man-made "Islam". I had one Christian class fellow there too. I often used to tell him that Jesus is not the son of GOD and that to say this is blasphemy. Often enough a fight broke out between us. Now the "Muslim" majority say that if one reaches the age of 10 and does not contact pray(Salat) then he's to be beaten and if at the age of 12 he still doesn't then he's to be thrown out of the house. However my parents did not accept this man-made theory and never beat me as far as the ?salat? issue is concerned. Such nonsense can only be found in the "Sahih" books of Bukhari, Muslim, etc besides Quran. I was eleven years old when once our "Islamic studies" teacher was lecturing us. The Christian class mate was also listening that day. A story about the punishments of the grave was being told. It was said that those who do not pray after the age of 10 will be bitten by poisonous snakes and scorpions in the grave. My Christian class mate asked me infront of the class whether I prayed or not and when I answered that I did not he smiled and yelled out "Khizar will be bitten by snakes, won't he". From that day on I became so frightened that when I went home I immediately started to learn 'salat', unfortunately including names of others besides GOD, and I continued to pray ever after that. When I first learned prayer I enjoyed it so much that I used to offer many extra units which now I know is incorrect. 'Salat' or contact prayer must be offered at specific times although one can always pray to GOD in other ways or mention His name at any other time. As I grew older I became more and more interested in GOD's Laws. I heard about Hadith and Sunnah besides Quran which I was taught were the "true" words of the prophet and they were used to explain the Quran. Most of the opinions and the Shariah("Islamic" law) are based on these men-made fabrications and I was such a fool that instead of taking Quran Alone, took almost everything from hadith other than Quran. I heard that keeping a beard was Wajib(secondary imperative) and later I read many ahadith where the prophet allegedly said that clean shaving was the act of the fire worshippers and we ought to be different from them by keeping a beard. Thus I also kept a beard and everyone called me 'Molvi' and I was happy to hear it.
Also I read a book which even misquoted Quranic verses, taking them out of context, that music is prohibited. Although I studied in coeducation I used to isolate myself completely from the girls. I did not even come close to them and did not talk much but just the necessary which were mostly "Islamic" issues. I thought it was unright in the sight of GOD that we talk to a Non-Muhram(person whom you can marry) for any other cause than "Islam". At a later stage I did not even talk to my Uncles' wives, NOT paternal and maternal aunts whom I knew were Muhrams(people prohibited to marry), and you know what tops it all? Whenever any of my uncles' wives, or any other Non-Muhram woman, came to sit even near me I jumped up from that position and went to sit somewhere else alone or together with other men. In school people used to get sick and tired of my fanatic and corrupt teaching but I continued to think that this was what GOD wanted. I also kept a long beard, though my father was against it. I shaved when I last time went to Germany in my summer vacations. I go to visit Germany every year with my family during summer vacations. However now my father says that I should not "fool GOD" by keeping a beard here and shaving it off there. He also says that I should keep a beard for GOD. It seems that even he believes the beard to be at least sunna and thus a holy practice or something. Therefore he told me recently to either shave it off completely now or to keep it and not shave it even in Germany. I now keep a beard just for the sake of it. Now on with my story. So as I said girls were completely tabu for me. The girls at school however often used to tease me. I always tried my best to ignore them. I was also preaching to everyone else saying things like 'You must keep a beard. You mustn't come close to a non-Muhram.' Oh and I used to keep my Shalwar, the trouser part in a Shalwar(trouser) Kameez(shirt), the dress in Pakistan, above my ankles, ALWAYS. My father used to get very annoyed at this. I even have a picture and I might post it some time I get hold of it. That was really funny. In school I had to wear pants as part of uniform, although I always preferred Shalwar Kameez, which I thought off to be a modest dress. But I used to fold the ends of my pants so that they did not go beyond the ankles based upon a hadith which states 'The Izar(garment) which hangs below the ankles is in the fire. >Bukhari.' Once I had them folded up very much and I wanted to go o the market with my friends. Oh and did they laugh. They told me to please unfold them so that the people in the market would not make a joke of me but I did not listen. I honestly thought this was what GOD and His messenger wanted. I used to quote all kinds of nonsensible ahadith besides Quran to support my views. I started to pray in the Masjids five times a day. I used to get up early in the morning and go together with another sunni old man. He is a very nice guy though. In that Masjid I was told about the "Mufti Alim" there who was supposedly very educated in "Islam". I believed it at that time and listened to almost all that he had to say, blindly. Now I'm warned by the following Quranic verse
They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords, instead of GOD. Others deified the Messiah, son of Mary. They were all commanded to worship only one god. There is no god except He. Be He glorified, high above having any partners.
He was a master of hadith&sunna. Every morning after Fajr(dawn) contact prayer he used to give a lecture on hadith from one of the "Sahih" or so-called "authentic" books. I was very excited and whenever I faced a problem I referred it to "Mufti Sahib" and he used to answer me. I remember once I was asked by a relative of mine that which colour did the Prophet Muhammad like most. I said 'green'. She said 'no, that's just a roumer, it's infact yellow.' Note that I talked to a non-Muhram here but only from a distance and because that was an "Islamic" issue. I quickly rushed to the Masjid, asked "Mufti Sahib" and he said 'It's neither yellow nor green. It's white'. I happily ran all the way back i.e. 400 meters and breathing heavily I answered 'It's white'. Oh man, see wht a silly fool I used to be. For these kind of unimportant issues I used to waste my time. It just couldn't get any further. In the month of Ramadan(fasting month) I used to stand for Tarawih(night prayers offered in 2 units each ten times) reciting a thirtieth plus a quarter of a thirtieth of the Quran each night. I thought it was good to listen to the Quran and stand there contact praying extra units.
On the internet I continued to preach in this way. I especially had a dialogue with the Christians and the well known missionary guy on the net named 'Quennel Gale'. His site is www.answering-islam.org. I did my best to refute his nonsensible claims about Islam until I got tired one day because he started to deny facts over and over again. I still deny this guy's claim ofcourse because he claims the Quran to have contradictions which have been answered well in detail at www.submission.org. However I'm sure if "Muslims" had kept to the Quran Alone no missionary could have come up with such horrible things as this guy did. Mostly ahadith besides Quran are used to defame Islam.
One day I was searching for some "Islamic" article on the net and by mere chance I came across the site www.submission.org, at the age of NINETEEN, which was also in the Holy month of Ramadan. I opened it and found there the answer to the supposed contradictions in the Quran. This was infact what I was looking for to refute those Christian missionaries. What I didn't notice at first is that this site was a Quran ONLY one. That day this fact remained unnoticed by me. But now the website was saved in my explorer. So some days after when I typed in 'www.s' the site appeared to me again. I said to myself 'why not take another visit' and so I did. I read then that the site claimed to be the best source of Islam on the net. This made me think two things. One is that this site must be very good and the other that they might be something fishy about it. I then found out that the site had a 'mathematical miracle of the Quran' article on it. That interested me greatly. I opened it and went through it for some time. I was very impressed. Then somehow I came to know that the site was refuting all ahadith besides Quran which I used to uphold so vehemently. That gave me a great shock. After that I thought that this must be a "satanic" site. Satan played his trick on me. He made the Truth seem to me to be from him and that what is actually from him(satan) to be the "truth", although I must say at this point that some people at s.org have turned Rashad's translations and appendices to be Divine inpiration, which is NOT the case. Only that which was shown based on number 19 and with this the command to follow Quran Alone was his inspiration and NOT all the appendices, neither the translation. This is based on a gross misunderstanding of theirs. Well after noticing this(the hadith issue), I got mad and I tried my best to refute each and everything on that site. I asked so many questions as to how can we perform salat without hadith? How can we know the rate of Zakaat? How can we perform the rites of Hajj and other things like that. I think I'll post that nonsense on the forum separately. Sometimes the Ullema at s.org got very tired of my nonsensible questions. I also talked about this website with my friends and he also supported me that whatever they said was nothing but nonsense, especially the accusation that we "Muslims" cannot mention the name of GOD alone, without getting upset or even slaughtering us, in the Masjids, made my friend say that this is not the case at all, although it is. I only realized this later. I gave s.org a reply in which I said that we could always mention the name of GOD alone in the Masjids and no one will be upset or slaughter me but if I said that Muhammad was GOD then they would indeed slaughter me. I was a real fool at that time and did not realize that the Masjids mostly focus more on Muhammad than on GOD, always praising and glorifying him. They CANNOT mention GOD without mentioning Muhammad's name thereafter. This was later realized by me in full. After studying the page in more depth I found out that it even rejected two verses from the Mushaf, which I at that time thought was Quran too i.e. 9128&129. I found another site 'fakir60.tripod.com'. They had the miracle based on number 19 too but claimed to be 'sunnis' and were against those whom they called 'Khalifites'. You can check out that website. They had done their own research. They also had an article which supposedly proves that 9128&129 do belong to the Quran. This relieved me at that time and I was proud that "my Sunnat jamaat" has struck back again. I almost forgot to tell you that at that time the September 11 attacks have already happened and I was in full support of the Taliban and Osama bin Ladin. I thought they were great heroes fighting for the cause of Islam. I used to read every newspaper eagerly and asked questions as to whether the Taliban had won again. After some months passed there was no sign of them coming back to power. I checked out every website. I even wanted to join Osama bin Ladin and help him but then luckily did NOT. MAN! What a real fool I had been! In the meantime I also kept my focus on the MATHEMATICAL MIRACLE of the Quran. I couldn't leave It. It was pulling me towards Itself. Some time later, I was still NINETEEN at that time, a sudden thought came into my mind "couldn't this miracle be true". I reviewed the miracle. Then I reviewed the part which showed that 9128&129 did NOT belong to the Quran. Then I reviewed the counter article at fakir60.tripod.com and then you know what? I realized that the things that were represented even there were ALSO telling me that those verses do NOT belong to the Quran although the site's intention was to show the opposite. ALLAHu AKBAR! They also did not use a consistent method either. I went back to s.org and viewed the miracle more an more. As it was revealed into my mind, I got struck and somewhere I reached a point where I said to myself 'BY GOD! This is the Truth' i.e. QURAN ALONE and It's mathematical miracle which lead me to believe in this fact. My ego broke into pieces and the fanaticism was over. The Truth was always more important to me than anything else in the world. I only couldn't realize this before. I thank GOD a thousand times for having guided me.
So now I was a believer in Quran Alone and Its mathematical miracle. As soon as my parents became to know about this they started to call me one who is deviated from the path. I once went to a "Mufti Alim" with whom I had a discussion and told him not to follow any hadith besides Quran. He came up the same Salat and Zakaat claim. I really became tired. I told him the verse 'Which hadith besides this do they believe in'. He said "No, this doesnt mean that what you are saying. Never did people before relate this verse to such a meaning". He was obviously accusing me of heresy. Then at the end he told me to pray to GOD that He guide me rightly, otherwise I would be lost. He also added that I should be very careful not make a wrong prayer from GOD as then I might be misguided further. So that day I went home thinking about this incident in the night. Next morning I got up for Fajr prayer, offered it and then raised my hands as usual and said to GOD "Oh GOD save me from all FALSE KIND of ahadith". I made this specific prayer because I thought as the "Alim" told me that if I only said "GOD save me from all hadith" then GOD would misguide me by making me reject all, which in fact could have been true since the QURAN is ALSO CALLED HADITH i.e. the BEST HADITH and the ONLY HADITH. So after making this prayer I decided to read the Quran. I took a Mushaf, which does contain the whole Quran in It although it contains other non-Quranic material as well, and opened it. By mere chance these verses appeared to me from Sura Jatheeya
These are GOD's revelations that we recite to you truthfully. In which Hadith other than GOD and His revelations do they believe?
                      Woe to every fabricator, guilty.
ALLAAAAAAAAAAAHU AL-KABEER(GOD IS THE GREAT)! From there on I knew that GOD had indeed answered my prayer and I was sure that all ahadith besides Quran were mere fabrications.
I hope you enjoyed my story, which is a true one. GOD Bless!

                          Peace,

I know this is a very old thread.

                          Interesting story.

                          I really enjoy reading it.

And I would thank you a lot and may God bless you for your article "Hadith Plagiarized from the Bible".

I was searching for the authenticity of hadiths. I was confused either to remain a Sunni or to become QA. I kept praying that God would show and guide me to the right path. One day, I stumbled upon your article. Though I know the article is actually the edited version of Saim Bakar's My Journey from Christianity of Sunnism to Islam, I appreciate it. I appreciate both.
After reading your awesome article, I became completely sure that I should become a QA.

Thank you Khizar / John Theodor Luther K

                          Regards,
                          Yuliana

GOD Bless!
