    Salam all

Please anyone explain me the below verse. Is the verse saying sun is setting in the dark mud?

    Al-Kahf 1886

Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it setting in a spring of dark mud, and he found near it a people. Allah said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish or else adopt among them goodness."

    God bless all

Where I live I see the sun setting behind a hill.
When I was on holiday I saw the sun set in the sea.

Have a look today brother and see where the sun sets in your place?
Let me know from your perspective where the sun is setting in your neck of the wood.
      GOD bless you.
      Peace.

The verse is not making a declarative statement, i.e. God is saying it sets in a muddy spring, it says "he found it setting...", i.e. it is written from his perspective.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.
