I am new to this forum and I generally listen to Mufti Abu Layth and read C.J Ahmed's articles. I would like to know what do you think about Mufti Abu Layth and C.J Ahmed? should I take their fatwas and are they reliable? Please answer

      Ariiiight.

I think for what he is Mufti is a positive man and has quiet a good grasp on the canonical history of Islam. I'm not representative of this forum nor have I been using it for very long. I mean his fatwa is really just an opinion, he doesn't have any jurisdiction or anything so it seems sort of in consequential. I don't always agree with his conclusions but he's super positive.

        peace,
        Welcome to the forum.

fatwas are opinions and have no legal binding/authority. Take them or leave them, and check them via Quran etc.

I like MAL, he is knowledgeable about Traditional Islam and Hadith, and is sometimes funny. His "Bukhari Gate" videos exposing Firabri were particularly good.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

He follows the Maliki Sunni school and tries to see Islam from different angles without any prejudice. For that he's good.

I don't know who CJ Ahmed is.

In general, no ones words are above the Quran.

You will only follow the fatwas of Allah. Only the Qur'an is a religious source.

            People's opinions are just comments.

              Salam to all,

As far as I know about mufti Abu Layth, I can say he really respects others opinion. He had another video with edip yuksel. It wasn't a debate it was a dialogue. Most of the time he was listening to edip. This is what he says about quran alone Muslims. He is diplomatic

              God bless you all
