Whether the fate of Man Can Change? welcome
Mohammad Rafique Etesame
This is very important question that, whether the fate of man can change or not? It means that due to someone’s good actions or good services, whether its bad fate can turn into good or not?
So, according to the teaching of Islam, it can change as the holy Qur’an reveals, “Allah effaces what He will, and establishes (what He will), and with Him is the source of ordinance” (Ar-Ra’ad39).According to the commentators, fate is of two categories as-
(1) Taqdeer ‘Muallaq’ (hanging fate) it can change.
(2) Taqdeer ‘Mubram’ (Persistent fate) it does not change. What can be changed from the fate of man? So, narrated by Ibn Abbas R.A. and Hazrat Ali R.A. that,” good actions and giving paying zakat (poor-due and alms giving) and also supplications of the parents, make changes in the fate of man (Tafseer Jalalian, Ma’ari-ful-Qur’an).
For example, if someone serves his parents and will-pleased them and they supplicate,” may you live long and prosper and your provision may increase!”
Then the age of and his provision will be increased surely and he will become safe from Hell-fire and any other miserable condition.
This is an undeniable fact that the palmists Admit this reality that lines of hands changes from time to time. For example, line of heart, line of age, line of fate etc. Similarly, The Mount of Jupiter, The Mount of Apollo and The Mount of Venus of the palm, can change.Main issue is that man should make effort to gain his useful substances and (also) make effort to avoid from his harmful substances according to his power.
May Allah the most high give us ‘taufeeq’ to obey all His commandments in order that we should make good changes in our fate. -
Those narrations are so poor. I could tell that you think that taqdeer means "fate", or it's one of its meanings. It's a verbal noun form II, and its verb qaddere should mean an action of making one's fate. If so, then one should ask what wife in 1560 done of good actions that her "fate" changed/set?
Btw, I don't agree that taqdeer is fate and I don't agree with those persian fairy tales called narrations, just trying to point out how poor they're.

No, man's destiny does not change. Because Allah knew what you would do before He created you, He knew the good deeds you would do, the prayers you would make. And He wrote the script accordingly. God does not change His mind, He does not travel forward in time, He does not learn later. He knows from the beginning.
I have explained what fate and free will are with evidence

Your destiny is written according to what you will do with your free will. Since it is known how you will respond to the test, you are brought to the salvation or deviation you deserve.

Reply to Aladin Azra.
Peace
Honorable sister Aladin Azra you have replied to may article namely ‘Whether the fate of Man Can Change’? But I am sorry to say that you have a little knowledge about Arabic grammar and also what have you written about taqdeer and fate and that your point of view is incorrect. Here I explain to your reply.
First of all, you wrote that,” It's a verbal noun form II, and its verb qaddere,”So, grammarly explanation is that قدّر یقدّر تقدیراً فھو مقدّر this is a chapter of ‘taqdeer’ according to the balance of تفعیل and ‘qaddere’ does not mean a verbal noun form II, but it is a صیغہ (expression) of امر حاٖضر معروف واحد مذکر حاضر, it means someone orders to other “determine or regulate something”.And please tell me that what is the difference between the ‘fate’ and ‘taqdeer’? Because these are not mere persian fairy tales as you wrote, but if you search on ‘Google translate about fate,’ then you will find ‘’ destiny, providence, God's will, fortune, predestination, and kismet etc. Then what is your reply?

Honorable brother, you wrote to the reply of my article that,” No, man's destiny does not change.”
Brother, only your own point of view about the beliefs and actions of Islam is not valid and authentic unless you present in favor of your claim arguments from the sources of Islam i.e.The holy Qur’an
Authentic Hadith (sayings of the holy Prophet PBUH)
Consensus of the Muslim Ummah
Research of Mujthid (قیاس مجتھد).Only your saying about any issue that “this is right and this is wrong” is not sufficient.

I'm not a sister, but ok )
I don't mind you to use google translate as a source of the meaning of qur'anic words, expressions, sentences, etc., but you should know that what google translate is not always correct, even in language we use for conversation. You should also know that the Qur'an was not written by the poets, so poets' word meaning is not the same as qur'anic. Also, how people use their words is not same as how they should speak to resool. These claims are enough to conclude that the Qur'an has its own language with own rules and style, and we shouldn't take anything above it.
So, you came to write about the fate, and I asked you which word from the Qur'an you understood as "fate", is it taqdeer? You should know that taqdeer was used 5 times in the Qur'an and I wonder where it is fate?
Greeks and other people believed in fate, from which this belief is called fatalism. Greeks had "3 goddesses", which so-called Arabs, or better to say Nabateans, accepted and we have about these 3 in the Qur'an as el-laat, el-'uzza and el-menaat. If you study these names you'll see they are translations of Greek names.
Allah is also telling us that He's not determine fate by the position of the stars (5675) where verb uqsimu was used, which comes from qismet for destiny, fate.
All is going on by the natural law (yewm-ud-deen) He set up. There's no qismet and no taqdeer as fatalism. Qismet means that we got some "cards" dealt, but we're playing with them, we're choosing which card and how we'll play. Taqdeer means that something was empowered, was enabled to be, good or bad. I mentioned 1560 where Allah made possible something bad to happen to Lut's wife, which is totally different then fairy tales from 'Abbasids you quoted. I also don't mind you to believe in those fairy tales, especially because I probably have my own false tales I took as true, we're not perfect, but we should go on and on.
You also wrote about palm-reading and "line of fate", where giveup
The topic you chose is very interesting, but it would be good for us to lighten it up by the light of the Qur'an only, to see what fate really is, because el-Qur'an is Haqq.

My question about claiming that these are the sources of Islam
The holy Qur’an
Authentic Hadith (sayings of the holy Prophet PBUH)
Consensus of the Muslim Ummah
Research of Mujthid (قیاس مجتھد).Does Qoran connect Islam to any source other than GOD Alone and His revelation?
Islam to GOD is the only acceptable way of life. It has nothing to do with any bachar ,their sayings or books of consensus. Why does GOD bother to send His own words if we are to follow/take as source of salvation other authority/human words?
Is GOD not enough as a source of law and religion? Are His words not complete and enough for us?
Does GOD run out of words /books that we require other human books for our Islam to GOD Alone and His authority?
Or has GOD instructed us to follow another authority besides GOD?What did the "Rasool" leave for us ? GOD s message or his own book/sayings as well and consensus of the Ummah?
What was revealed from GOD only as a message? It cannot be authored by other than GOD can it?
Then men s words ,their own sayings/books are not GOD s words. So what is "follow what has been revealed by GOD" to us?How on earth can one prove what any man said unless they witness it or record it with honesty to preserve for others? Has anyone got solid proof that the rasool said all these things or are we to just believe he did, even if it goes against GOD s words through hearsay?
GOD says clearly "obey the rasool",never obey the Nabi or the man s own words. There is only the message of GOD from the rasool if he is GOD s rasool. Or is he his own rassol giving us his message/sayings separately as well?
The rasool has done the job and delivered GOD s message to us. We are making a mockery of GOD s words and following men s words that GOD says to "beware !!!
But one has the choiceGOD Alone or others or GOD with partners in His Deen.
GOD bless you.
Peace. -
Reply to Aladin Azra!
Respected one, I am sorry to say you ‘sister’ but you should explain for my information that, what is the translation of word ‘Azra’ according to Arabic language, whether it is used for male or female? After all, OK!
You have objected that I have taken the meanings of taqdeer from google translate (destiny, providence, God's will, fortune, predestination, and kismet etc.) and according to you these are totally wrong and that taqdeer does not mean ‘fate’. I request that you should translate word taqdeer from any other English dictionaries rather that google translate and tell me what is the difference?
And Instead of getting confused by the words ‘fate’ and ‘taqdeer,’ please tell me that whether the fate of Man Can Change? Because this is the topic of my article, and what you have argued about this in your reply, is not accepted able. I have quoted from the holy Qur’an that, “Allah effaces what He will, and establishes (what He will), and with Him is the source of ordinance” (Ar-Ra’ad39).
So, explain its meanings in the light of authentic ‘Mufassirin’ that whether Allah effaces from taqdeer (of man) or not, and should not according to your own own point of view?

Yes, Azra is a feminine name, but it's not my name. My name is Aladin. Azra is from a song, where "tribe of Azra" is mentioned, thus it is tribe's name there.
I use many tools when I'm not able to understand anything about a certain thing in the Qur'an on my own. This is how my method of understanding is started. As I understood something I'm using it to understand other things, and I'm always going back to recheck and to grab more knowledge from the same. We will never understand all nor best possible, because we're not qadeer.
Root q-d-r describes that somebody has able to do something or something is able to happen. In this sense, it is mostly about future, so it's related somehow with what we call "destiny, fate". Taqdeer is a verbal noun from verbal form II, which talks about causing the main verb, ie. it talks that something is caused to be able. Ability can be very different. In order for me to be able to dig a hole, I have to be sound, to be powerfull enough and to have some tool or to use my hands and legs. In order to put a triangle-shaped thing inside a circular thing, triangle-shaped should be measured before it's made or to be shortened if needed. This is how we do taqdeer for that thing, we're making it able to fit. In order for us to learn something we have to use a reason, and One who gave it to us made taqdeer. This doesn't mean "destiny", except in a very wide sense.
Thus, translation of this word, and any other word in the Qur'an, depends not just from its root's meaning and it's form meaning, but also from the context it's used in.
I don't believe in fatalism (qaderism), in a sense that everything is predestined, because I know we have a free will we can use to decide about things. Taqdeer exist in a sense that Allah's letting things to be, by the Law He prescribed over all the creation. This means that if we jump we won't fly and float but we'll fall back, unless things are governed by a different law from His Law in that situation. We cannot impose our will if it comes out of fantasy, but things we'll go by our will if it's part of Reality (Haqq). In order to do so we have to understand Reality and His Law, which is also called natural.
If there's no free will and if everything is predestined then our testing would be pointless, as well as our good and bad deeds. In short, there's no predestination and our will is not totally free, but only within law bounds He made.
