Difference between nedhīr and mundhir
-
As can be seen in translations, people mostly understand an adjective nedhīr نَذِير and participle form IV mundhir مُنذِر, same, as warner. This is not possible. Their root talks about precaution, about things that should be done in order for something bad not to happen.
Thus, adjective nedhīr talks about precautious person, and participle mundhir, since it is in transitive form, talks about transiting precaution to other, ie. warning, so it's a warner. Nedhīr can also be mundhir (active), a warner, and mundher (passive), warned.
There're 3 usages of a verb nedhere
2270 is talking about nafaqa (sharing, forwarding goods), and instead of nafaqa we can give nadhr, which is giving in advance, as we can lower a price to some person in a need, or gift something.
335 is talking about Meryem's mother asks Allah to receive from her what she carries, before her child gets in problems; we usually ask Him to help us when problem occurs and we're not able to help our kids.
1926 now talks about Meryem and her child, when she was said to be precautious and not to answer to any question (about her son); in other words, she was told to defend herself with silence.
