I believe part of the scheme of God that is free will assigned to Humans also has the ability to create. Create for the good or the worse . So in the end I agree with you that it is actually God who imparted the knowledge and men creates.
For example when I see the movie "Aeronauts" The Aeronauts” is inspired by true events — an 1862 scientific balloon ascent in which meteorologist James Glaisher and professional aeronaut Henry Coxwell almost died after reaching more than 30,000 feet, and perhaps Glaisher contributed to the weather forecasting which later would develop into a technology that saves millions of lives in event of natural disaster as early warning system.
My point being its not about boost, many scientists never boosted nor got rich from their discoveries, and i believe they contributed to the title of being khalifa on God's earth to ponder and discover universe secrets. There is nothing wrong in this? else you and I wont be communicating in this forum today.
The so called priests? have they done anything in the area of creation/invention to benefit man kind? Except making people afraid of Almighty and involved in sexual crimes.
I believe if one study science and exhibit tendency to create and invent , he should be more likely to believe in God, my personal view.

There is a big difference between creation of GOD and invention of man.
GOD creates from nothing - But possesses the laws of creation with Him- i.e GOD and His laws are one unit( single creator.). His laws are part of His make up.

For example all the building blocks of mass in the universe come from the elements of single atom/unit.../ make ups like H, O, C...etc Put together with GOD s science we get for example water-H2O, OR carbon monoxide . All these elements were only created by GOD and put together through the chemical chemistry and manufactured by GOD s tiny laboratories as conditions in nature, the universe...etc

GOD is the originator of all Science, He is the perfect Scientist. He creates with His laws anything that He wishes to create but all with good reasons. He is the only creator.
Man s invention can only happen because man has already been created with the faculties , with full knowledge of GOD ,to discover and experiment and find useful and harmful things that GOD provided all the building blocks and laws for it to happen.

Everything man made follows the building origin of GOD -made from atoms- already in existence from GOD s laws.

So GOD is the originator and the creator of all of us from Scientists to artists to all various expertise and innovations of man. GOD has made everything possible for all the invention and created the basic materials and laws. Then He taught man how to learn ,investigate and innovate.

Without the natural-What GOD made- there would have been no artificial.
      GOD bless you all.
      Peace.

Thanks Good logic you said it perfectly.

I also wonder where will man's inventions stop? certainly there is a plan in action by God from cave man to other ages(iron, steam, technology etc) and now with the space venture element. Does this mean man may tomorrow reach out to other planet and artificially build a new whole world (with all elements of oxygen, buildings, and every thing in that new planet)? or perhaps will wander into space and discover a new earth like planet and call it 2nd home? all seems to far distant but where we are today could also seem too far fetched to a cave man (early humans). Unless thisis the last of the humans time period (as last prophet had already arrived) and its a matter of few hundreds thousands when day of judgement will come? because even in Quran there are verses that The Day/hour is near,

Nice and I agree with you, i will give my views,

Yes everything is from God, but some may disagree with this, there is the problem, even we sometimes do not agree and we think its because of the ME, Myself attitude in us, but the truth, nothing comes out of from zero from us, there may be conditions that helped us create the things out of us, our parents our surroundings are mostly responsible for us to perform the way we do, we need resources to recreate things, even many scientists and inventors base their work on their predecessors, take ideas from others, most of them are humble in their knowledge. So in a way as Quran says nothing Good comes from US, if we say this is the one 'I' created then its no good, so as muslims we know the truth its all from God the goodness provider. As the Message that came from God through the Prophet the praised one.

Yes brother Fusion, we will all be left wondering what happens after we leave here.
We only have few years to live / prepare . I am thankful to the Lord for creating me and all my fellow humans to be a part of His plan .

Imagine if we never existed at all.
Since my awareness , I am trying my best to be positive and do my bit- what I can -to use my faculties'/capabilities to know my creator better, to know myself better and serve Him as best as I can by following His rules.

The daily tasks of this life are heavy without getting into conflicts and difficulties with each other as humans, but I am enjoying myself. I am hoping I am in good terms with all my friends ,family and my brothers and sisters all over the world.
I may sound artificial, but I am trying to be natural.
            I wish anyway!
            GOD bless you.
            Peace.

Yes brother Fusion, we will all be left wondering what happens after we leave here.

The way I understood is that everything was already there in this world date back to billions of years including angels, other creatures like Jinns or animals or even human like animals.
Then one day (in recent history perhaps 10k years ago), the creator decided that he will choose from those a thinking, logical man with free will. He assembled all his already existing creations and may have announced his plan to which some agree and some(iblees) disagree, some (angels) doubt on his plan (the new man will do blood shed etc). Hence God carried out his plan because he is all knowing. The point is God could never do this experiment or what ever you call it for nothing. He creates a world of test and that means his plan MUST have another round which is a life (where there is no death) and that perhaps is where we all will converge based on our actions in this test life.
So I am positive that we will see the next phase of his plan and inshallah if we stay positive as you have shown so much in your last post, we will be successful.
              thank you brother

                Interesting what you say.
Brother Fusion , another version of why were we created can be found here, for info
                https//submission.org/App7.html
See what you make of it. Or perhaps you have already come across it.
Some of it makes sense to me .
Since we are here , what matters is what we do with our life now. anyway.
                GOD bless you.
                Peace.

                  Peace..
Thank you for those who furnished their inputs and I expect more understanding from others.. I am not here to debate but to get more understanding of others in this topic...

BTW.. Have you noticed that three occasions God has mentioned He sent down food from Heaven (sama-singular) to Deciples of Isa son of Maryam and to followers of Musa and Maryam when she was a child.. So from where did these foods and fruits etc come? Is it from the same earth we live or Janna? And when those food baskets or trays came it should have come well prepared especially for those of Isa people and Musa... And whoever brought the food they would have brought them in a well manner... Artificial objects can be expected from heaven like tray or baskets or glasses etc to bring them here..
So how far this janna to bring them here? It doesn't matter.. But God already have all these unnatural stuffs with Him.. Doesn't He? There are Angels living in and around in Janna.. Do they not wear cloths? Well.. Don't take it funny.. But they must be wearing.. So cloths are something that is not so natural... Don't they eat while they are in their real shape .. Well every creature is consuming food and drink.. That's inevitable.. So they must be living in lofty palaces in Janna while they are not on duty for God... Don't they...

So God has created nature and unnatural from from nature already and that knowledge is imparted to human form their survival in this earth since the Earth was void of artificial objects made of natural objects... Since God wanted human to struggle for it and find it while He already made Himself all artificial objects in Janna.. Any thoughts..

Or else take a look at the verses if Jahanna.. Iron chains, fence, mighty guards guarding literally all these so unnatural compared with God's creation what we have seen on this earth..

                    Salam everyone...

I deeply pondered on this issue and I discussed with couple of friends on this forum privately as well. But I like to hear your explanation and knowledge and understanding to share to furthet augment my understanding...

One day few of my friends or rather college boasted while was working in my past office.. They were saying everything is natural and it all formed on its own.. And scientist and all knowledgeable people created many things on this earth that you and I used and what your God has created? Nothing.. That's their statement... Well okay..

But let me take this matter bit further..
Yes God has never created anything artificial on this earth like what human has invented it created.. Has He? We don't see.. Right.. Has He created for us houses that we live in privacy? No people built ... So list goes on.
BUT.. Have you noticed in God's promises ... He says those who enter Janna will live in lofty palaces... Well God didn't create such lofty palaces here on this Earth.. Jewelleries made out Gold such bracelets. No bracket God ever made in Earth.. Couches with comfort... Cloths of silk.. We don't see any of these God made for us or anyone on this living Earth.. But human went on to make them.. But God also has well prepared these and what He has not mentioned... So.. Is God merely natural creator or even the creator out if His own resources.. Like man invented..
We taught men with Pen(kalam) Did Allah ever create a pen on this earth?[

                    Peace jkhan,

People can manipulate the environment, birds can build nests from their environment, or bees can produce hives. One problem with "literal" interpretations is that when someone attempts to explain something by using figurative language a person can misunderstand what is being conveyed because figurative language attempts to convey something that is unfamiliar like Janna. We are given abilities that come from creation, but we can't run On Water or defy gravity like some animals.

                    God bless you peace

                      Peace Hawk...
As I said I am not here to debate... Just enhance my knowledge on this thread.. This topic I created not fir debate.. So I keep my word.. Let me clarify something further with your comments..
Yes birds forms nests or bees make their beehive or spider makes its web ants make their houses on Earth soil or leaves of trees and many a animals makes homes.. But they are so natural process.. Nothing changes.. They are their homes.. But what human build is entirely different they transform one thing into another.. I don't know how far you agree.
Okay when you reminded of beehives... something cropped up in my mind.. God inspired to bees build your houses in hills trees and what they construct.. So this was passing knowledge ... Like God imparts human..
But little off topic.. Did you notice the strange part.. God would have inspired one for all and it continues with generation of bees.. But mountains and trees okay.. Before human being.. But human being landed on this earth later.. And then only they started building things on this earth when they became communities.. They were one nation but then spread.. So... Did God inspired bees all in one after human also started building or transforming natural resources into something else.. So up until bees were not there on earth. Yes.. I know science so say.. No bees no humans.. Is bee a later creation of God I mean after Human?

Or else would anyone take the verse as Yes God inspired well before human to bees to make their homes in hills and trees.. And later on to new generation of bees God inspired again to build on what we build..
Or.. God inspired wel before all three segments.. But bees did the third part once human started building..
Well inspiring even before human was created is bit weird.. Anyone.. Just for your thought.

Thank you hawk.. When you guys have time pls share your knowledge.. Thank you..

I am having it difficulty to take these verses in Literal sense of meaning. Meaning some angels carrying food from heaven and presenting to human(s).
These verses may mean a different understanding such as God favors certain nations or people and make the laws of Universe in their favor like sending clouds to protect them from heat and making them grow abundance of food from the same earth etc.
Or the offerings to Maryam may have come from people "in the name of God" and not people who belong to the temple.

For part of humans, I am of the opinion that human were similar to animals were already present on this earth(and we have seen several excavations which proved that dating back to millions of years) and were not given the "wisdom". And they were like animals doing repetitive tasks, void of making any rationals.
Once god chose a couple from them and create a thinking man with the abilities that are attributed to God (create) and give them a personality and we came to know them as adam and Yve.

I feel more satisfied with the version (sorry no english translation).

The key word is "attributes" things have qualities that are attributed to them, we humans can manipulate the environment, it is Allah's gift that we can do so.

                          plural noun attributes
                          /ˈatrəˌbyo͞ot/
                          1.
a quality or feature regarded as a characteristic or inherent part of someone or something.

ex. "flexibility and mobility are the key attributes of our army"

Similar quality, feature, characteristic, trait, element, aspect, property,

You might want to study 37 in depth, reflection, the Quran conveys wisdom by the use of literal laws, metaphors, parables, idioms, similes to teach us.

Yes.. That's what I am trying to say throughout this topic... We have been imparted knowledge to do many a thinga on this which Allah has not created directly but kept the resources and imparted relevant knowledge to certain people for certqin matters and for other general matters for everyone...
But what human creates on this earth God has already created in a world that we don't know.. It exists... And in top of that what human creates and what human cannot create also expected in that world.. If Allah build a palace for one of His Ibadi in Janna then that palace must have all characteristics of a palace what human can think of and beyond.. So don't neglect angels and their living aboard... They are after all a creature who already indulge in such environment.. Coz they are worth having it since they always obeyed God..

So again I reiterate.. God's creation is not merely natural as we have seen on this earth and visible heaven but beyond that in which unnatural things God has created and can expect to create more..

                            Thank you Hawk

                              Salam Fusion..

I can understand what you say... But there is a truth and that truth cannot be replaced with imagination or rather our own speculation over those verses...
Hawk has replied that to take them as parables giving the verse number 37 .. I don't know Hawk requested you to take it as parables or mataphore but sone how he has given the verse 37 so you may be satisfied..

But.. In my understanding everything that an individual not grasp within Quran doesn't belong to verse 37 ..thats really funny in my view.. God guides.. Yes.. But we can't deduce blindly though...
Yes certain matters in Quran we all have to take them as verses that no one can give a clear explanation .. They are belonging to 37 But some may know the meaning but perhaps silent with their guidance..
@hawk.. Parables mataphore are clearly given in many a verse of Quran and they are parables and mataphore and not others..
Buy the verses about food or drink or fruits which came from heaven are not at all mataphore or parable of simile. They are direct verses and any illiterate can understand them... Why insert these verses into such group as similes or mataphore ...no clue why people do so.. Just coz they don't grasp and they are not afraid bifurcate them into something else.. That's weird...

Read the verses of food came from heaven with intent and following and preceding verses and apply a practical scenario.. Why change a direct verse into something else to divert it's pure meaning..

I tend to agree with Jkhan that you can not pick and choose what is to be applied under verse 37.
I had earlier provide the translation of this verse from GA Pervez in another thread which makes lot of sense to me
                                37
Allah has sent down this Book to you, O Rasool! which includes verses of two kinds. The first kind consists of those verses which have definite meaning and constitute the foundation of Allah’s Laws. The second kind are figurative and explain abstract realities metaphorically. Those who tend to deviate from Allah’s Path, take the figurative verses in their literal sense thereby causing discord by interpreting these verses in their own way. Allah only knows the essence of the realities which these verses represent. Those who make a right approach to knowledge believe in the realities but can also form an idea of what they are and can perceive their significance. These are the people who are gifted with insight (74/31)

The verses which are mentioned in this thread relating to Food may not have another meaning except the provision of Food itself. Question is should we take these verses on the face of literal translation as to how the food was provisioned? Its like I am producing a lot of food on the table but there is a whole process behind it which is cultivation of crops and etc etc. My only point was that there must be a logical/natural process by which the food was delivered which we may not be aware of as of yet. The concept of manna va salwa is mentioned in some hadith books which surprisingly favors a natural phenomenon.

                                https//www.islamweb.net/en/fatwa/87966/manna-and-salwa

I want to thank both Hawk and Jkhan for their input as am in the phase of learning and I am giving my opinion and I agree with Jkhan, we are not debating but providing our opinions only.

I would like to touch upon similar concept which is angels. Many belief that angels are creatures created by God and at the time of Prophet and before most of the religious folks believe that have wings. (Look at the statue in Roman relics). Even in Bukhari it was reported that Prophet saw Gabrael wings covering the whole horizon. Fast forward and we know what science tells us about space(no air) and if these angels were to descend they would not need wings for that matter.
I believe the concept of angels and as such are the ones that come under 37 which is we believe as is. As we cant really comprehend what are angels or jinns or even Satan etc. This we believe without seeing.

                                Thanks

Or the offerings to Maryam may have come from people "in the name of God" and not people who belong to the temple.

Is it your own statement or is it you brought from someone else's statement...
                                  Impossible brother..
Rizq in Arabic is not fruit... It is a complete provision of food and drink and a good one that too... Correct me anyone who is expert in Arabic.. Coz Rizq is the word used in Mary's case.. Verse 337

As you all aware Prophet Zakaria took care of Maryam and verse clearly states whenever or everytime Zakaria entered the Mihrab (chamber closed) he found with Maryam Rizq... And it means it is not a single day and it was a continuous process... So curious Zakaria asked Maryam from where did get this? Why Zakaria Needed to ask being an adult and caretaker? He should have known that Maryam would have taken it from some offerings people brought.. Why Maryam should take daily from offerings from people bring and being it to her chamber and consume while Zakaria is her custodian a d chosen one... On top of that Why Maryam being a child should reply to Zakaria it is from Allah.. Instead a little girls she could have easily said I took it from offerringa or people who brought offering gave it to me also... But she she didn't say so.. She said Gog gave it to her.. Why would Maryam every day to and take the offerings of people. Was she a begger while under the custody of Zakaria? Context of the verse and intent is so clear that whatever Rizq Maryam got was from God and not anyone else's... Not only fruits buy complete provision.. And that too without the knowledge of Zakaria... People can manipulate verses but incident happened cannot be changed. .truth has no replacement

I will quote here references with different understandings of this verse 337. so yes there is no concurrence.

Abd Ali ibn Jumah Arusi Huwayzi, Nurul-Thaqalain, vol. 1, pg. 333. [ Who ever created this hadith is influences bu the literal understanding of the verse.

A hadith by Imam Baqir (as) narrated by Tafsir Ayyashi says “The prophet (pbuh) came to Lady Fatimah’s (as) home after days of no food being there, all of a sudden he saw some food and asked “Where did this come from?! Lady Fatimah (as) answered “It is from Allah (swt); He provides for whomever He wills without reckoning.” The prophet (pbuh) said that this incident was like that of Prophet Zakariyya’s when he came to Lady Maryam’s sanctuary and found a special food there and asked her “O Maryam! Where is this food from?!” and she answered “It is from Allah (swt)” (this shows that both incidents were similar, and that just like how Lady Fatimah had received from Allah (swt), Lady Maryam had also received from Him)

Allah accepted the offering graciously. Mary was committed to the care of Zachariah and grew up to be a person of elegance and grace, because of her piety she began to receive various kinds of offerings. Whenever Zachariah visited Mary at the temple he found these offerings beside her. He would ask her “O Mary! whence come these to you?”. She replied “They are not from any person belonging to the temple. These offerings have been brought by people in the name of Allah Who gives sustenance without measure.”

I asked one of my friend (native arabic) and he says Rizk means provisions which can be of many forms not necessarily food, could be also knowledge and he sent me the following link

Brothers and Sisters how inconsistent hadith is when you study Qyran deeply... Let me bring an evidence since my friend fusion brought a lady alleged to be the daughter of Prophet Muhammad...

Yes Hadith so say that Fatima is the youngest daughter of Mohamed and other two elder daughteres passed away in their childhood. Botg eldest daughter died even before Fatima was born... LolAnd prophet never had children other than from his first wife Kadija exception a son named Ibrahim to one of the other wives. So that's Hadith...
But Qurab says in chapter 33 .O prophet tell your wives and DAUGHTERS.... to lower their garments.... Do you get what it means. Plural daughters (not dual but 3 or more) ... And this chapter is one of the very latest chapters revealed according to tone of Quran ...
They always wanted lift the status of this Fatima like that if Maryam and the wife of King Pharoa but Allah never even mentioned about her...
Anyway.. Let the hadith be hadith and let us only concentrate Quran... That's worthy spending time.

                                        Peace..
When you mention about wings of Malaika it promoted me write this..

People take these two or three or four wings mentioned in Quran to various figurative meaning or they apply many of their opinions.. But God has used Wings ... Any way that is not the point i in fact wanted to say.. Angels malaika do descend from heaven and the climb again.. But they do shape shift... Whoever visited Ibrahim and went on to meet Lut were malaika but they came in the form of human being and I'm male shape.. So.. They were not naked.. They were modest looking human being.. So we can expect them be well dressed people... Upper garments, lower garments shoes etc.. Typical human dresses of that era... But not magic.. Real.. So from where they got their cloths.. Is it from earth or from where they came... So human dress attired by Angels... So not only natural but artificial also God created...

Again I want to say about wings.. I take them as literal coz they are not human and they do really require them for their duty purposes... They fly or float whatever.. They are created or specifically provided to thoae who are assigned on for everyone I don't know.. A bird can fly ita wings well spread and evwn without opening it.. I mean well closed and even they can float.. So.. Angels similarly may use when required and may not use when not required.. As you say their is no air in the space..
So shape shifting angels may need what they are equipped with.. We can't deduce it with science.. We don't know exactly how they look in their real figure..

The mention of hadith was to point out the fact that your not alone in your understanding of the literal meaning of the verse 337 and historically people have had the same understanding as that of Food for Rizk in that context.
Coming back to the question of understanding verse 3359, it is general stated that Historical sources list 4 daughters for the Prophet. It is not clear whether all of them were his biological daughters, or only one (namely, Fatimah).
If he only had one biological daughter, the other 3 girls who are mentioned in some sources as his daughters would have been girls as adopted daughters.
Also, the Qur'an occasionally uses a plural form to indicate generality, not multiplicity. For instance, the verse of mubahilah instructs the Prophet to take "our selves" and "our women" (in the plural) to the meeting for mubahilah.
