Love relationship

Salam to all,
425 And whoever of you cannot afford to marry the independent female believers, then from those maintained by your oaths of the believing young women. And God is more aware of your faith, some of you to each other. You shall marry them with the permission of their parents, and give them their dowries in kindness - to be independent - not for illicit sex or taking lovers. Until they become independent, any of them who comes with an immorality shall have half of what is the punishment for those who are independent. This is for those who fear hardship from among you. But if you are patient it is better for you, and God is Forgiver, Merciful.
Does this verse say we should not have love relationship Before marriage.?
"not for illicit sex or taking lovers"
Please can someone explain me this verse
Especially the part "or taking lovers"
God bless

There is a huge difference between lovers who are about marry and secret lovers... Having lovers is absolutely legal.. That's how you get attracted to a woman. . But secret lovers is illegal coz you are violating and cheating...
When it comes to the verse.. These are MA malakat aymanakum women.... If any man wants to marry while he cannot afford to marry a free woman who is a believer God allows to marry one of these MMAs... But for a believer another believer does suit... But there could be uncertainty about the characters of these women. . God reiterate to choose chaste and believing ones among them and not those who are vulnerable for immorality(illegal sex eg. Prostitute) and those who keep partners secretly apart from their wedded husbands...So bro.. God never said not to get attracted to a woman and fall in love and with time marry... Like every human being believers also have the right to love and then marry... But sex is only with married partners... No sex with anyone else before marriage...
Don't you read verses that prophet Mohamed got attracted to women... Yes he was human... When got attracted people fall in love... But we should know the limit...
Then verse continues.. So once such marriage is tsken place and if one of those Mmas cheat and she goes for fahisha /illegal sex... So.. You get what God trying to tell here... It is not about lovers who is not violating any law.. Thank you.

Yes ... Extra marital in the sense outside marriage ie married but having illegal sexual relation another married one or not married but illegal sexual relations with a married one or no intention ever to marry but having illega sexual relations... They are hidden /secret sexual relations ... Every sexual relations away from marriage is zina... So in that society the law and punishment was constituted fir them in Quran and applicable coz believers were rulers ..
3352 Not lawful to you, , are women after , nor for you to exchange them for wives, even if their beauty were to please you, except what your right hand possesses. And ever is Allah , over all things, an Observer.
