Why we must learn self understanding Qur'an

    1. Since the arrival of Man on Earth, Divine Guidance for common people is only through the Book.

    2. The Rule and Principle for success and salvation was settled and explained to Man when he was seen off for Earth.

    3. The Books, each containing specific part of the Principle/Mother Book, were given to the Messengers of Allah the Exalted, transcribed in the language of their nation. They read out and delivered it in writing to their respective nation.

    4. The success and salvation is only for those who believed in the Messenger of their time, and believed in all the Messengers of their past and to other nations; and pledged to believe the Forthcoming Messenger, if appointed and sent in their lifetime. And conducted according to the Book of Hour. Man was always under Covenant to believe in the Messenger who would come in their future. Those who consented, they were the believers of all the Messengers in timeline. Hence eligible for salvation and ascension back to Paradise.

    5. Believing in Allah the Exalted and His Messengers necessarily entailed believing in and conducting according to the Divine Book of Hour. (لِـكُلِّ أَجَلٛ كِتَابٚ)

    6. All the Messengers of past were also given accreditation signs miracles.

    7. Qur’ān warps space-time. Its text loops the present connecting to the past and beginning. The first time mention of the descent of the verbal discourse, and about belief with regard to that which was delivered to the present Universal Messenger, and connecting the belief with all that which was delivered in the past, warps time-space. Thereby, it is the end of Divine Communication
      وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ
Moreover, they (Mutta'qeena) are those who heartily accept-believe in that which was compositely sent to you the Messenger —
      وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ
And in that which was compositely sent (to the Messengers) before you.
      وَبِٱلۡۡۡءَا خِـرَةِ هُـمْ يُوقِنُونَ.٤
And they have conviction regarding the Hereafter.
      ..................
Caution Despite being educated and holding degrees even to the level of Phd, if we cannot read and understand Qur'an, we are illiterate in the judgment of Allah the Exalted.
      وَمِنْـهُـمْ أُمِّيُّونَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٱلْـكِـتَٟبَ إِلَّآ أَمَانِـىَّ
Be informed, masses which constitute major part of them (Bani Iesraa'eel) have the characteristic of not acquiring knowledge of the Divine Book. They are, however, aware with regard to the Revealed Book only such wishful fascinating hearsay-conjectural myths made popular and widespread in society.
As such, they (the common people), keep doing-knowing nothing except conjecturing-supposing-assuming the widespread-popular material as being from the Revealed Book.
اور یہ کہ سوائے گمان کرتے رہنے (کہ جو کچھ انہیں بتایا جاتا ہے نازل کردہ کتاب میں ہے)کے علاوہ وہ اورکچھ نہیں کرتے
Those who despite being educated and capable self read and understand not the Divine Book are "أُمِّيُّونَ" are common people. Once Qur'an is given, and they still remain "أُمِّيُّونَ" (gentiles), it would connote downgraded as "illiterate".
We have only knowledge of "أَمَانِـىَّ" displayed to us by the Trailblazer we follow.

Self-learning Qur’ān by vocabulary and grammar

      1. We are henceforth undertaking regular study of Qur’ān, strictly following academic rules and principles, which are universal in nature. Qur’ān has its own method of teaching and practice, i.e. pedagogy; the method of how teachers teach, in theory and in practice. Our purpose is not learning Arabic as a second language for communication, i.e., speaking and interaction with Arabs. Our purpose is only to exclusively listen and understand Qur’ān by our own effort, as autodidactic students, self-taught persons. Thus we will try to understand only the vocabulary and grammar of Qur’ān.

1.1 It is well known that vocabulary is of vital importance in language study because it is the essence of a language. Linguist D. A. Wilkins (1972) has the famous line "Without grammar very little can be conveyed, without vocabulary nothing can be conveyed."
1.2 The possible vocabulary of Arabic language has the largest stock; it is stated about Al Khalil bin Ahmed, who created the first Arabic Lexicon, that he had counted the used and unused words as more than twelve millions (1,23,05,412 words).

1.3 Qur’ān is declared as facilitator for its understanding. It facilitates by having used a small number of Arabic vocabulary. It has total 86,972 words. However, number of individual/unique words are only 18,088, (I have given separate number to the same word because of different case endings). Nouns are 9655, verbs 7650 and non-root words are 783. As you know, Words belong to different categories of concepts - semantic frames. All nouns and verbs relate to 1,646 conceptual frames (Roots). Letters, vowels and diacritic marks total 6,23,122 units. This statistics confirms Qur’ān is the Discourse of symmetries (مَّثَانِـىَ 3923).

1.4 We will follow the conduct of the companions of the Exalted Messenger (sas) who are adjudged and declared all time great in rank and honour over all other human till the Last Day (refer 5710)
      وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٟتِ رَبِّـهِـمْ
And the sincere allegiants of Ar'Reh'maan the Exalted are they who when reminded by mentioning the Aa'ya'at Verbal Unitary Passages of their Sustainer Lord
      لَمْ يَخِرُّوا۟ عَلَيْـهَا صُـمّٙا وَعُمْيَانٙا .٧٣
They used not to behave - react upon them in a state of deafness and blindness.

1.5 We will pronounce the words and carefully see the orthographic structure. Grammar of Qur’ān is learnt by eyes. We will not need rote memorization of grammatical concepts like tables of verb conjugation.

          ..............................................................
          2. I hope you have deduced from previous talk that for studying Qur’ān our approach will be "Grammar-Translation method". It is also known as classical method. It is most suitable strategy for self learning the Qur’ān. Its name captures the main emphasis of this method—the study of grammatical aspects of language and the use of translation as a means of acquiring comprehension. It will enable us appreciate the all time classic Grand Qur’ān in its original language.

2.1The text of a book comprises of only three elements

          (i). Word - (parts of speech);

(ii). Phrase; Prepositional; Possessive, and Adjectival Phrase.

(iii). Sentence. It is arrangement of words and phrases strictly according to grammar rules to convey a complete thought.

2.2 Arabic words - parts of speech are only three

          (i) Particles (حروف-حَرفٌ);

          (ii) Noun (ٱسْمُ-أَسْـمَآءٚ ); and

          (iii) Verb (فعل).

          بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْـمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيـمِ .١

2.3 The first orthographic word of Qur’ān is بِسْمِ; it occurs three times. With same pronouncing sound, four times its orthography is بِٱسْمِ.

The prefix ortho means “proper” or “correct,” while graph means “writing.” Writing (writing-system) is the method of representing the sounds of a language by written or printed symbols. It is the first ever Sound-recorder. Thus "reading" firstly means to convert written word into sound. Meanings are in the sound.

2.4 I have termed it as first "orthographic word" of Qur’ān; otherwise these are two words prefix بـِ is a Particle word; and noun سْمِ; it comprises of consonant ب of Alphabet and under it is a small stroke which is a vowel sign called كسرةٌ carrying sound like "i" in English words "Sip-Bit". And this vowel on the last consonant of a noun reflects its state in genitive which determines its grammatical function in the sentence. In the category of particles, it is called Preposition, and in Arabic حرف الجر. It is Inseparable preposition meaning it is always a prefix. Its suffix is called its object noun. It exercises influence and affects the attached noun by changing its default nominative state to genitive state, which is then called genitive noun اِسم مَجرُور.

2.5 It will facilitate us to visually recognize nouns. The words that have prefix بـِ is noun and both constitute a Prepositional Phrase, in Arabic (جار و مجرور). There are 2509 Prepositional Phrases with prefixed بـِ. Skim them in this link https//haqeeqat.pk/sohail/w1.

          Remember

          1. In Arabic, a word conveying meanings must comprise of at least a consonant and a vowel. Expression is a syllable, a binary of consonant and vowel; meaningful sound is thereby also binary. A consonant and vowel (CV) is the smallest syllable termed light and open. The first syllable is . It is CVC + pause mark Jezm (جزم) literally meaning to cut off; it is termed heavy and closed. This is the end-limit of our volition with regard to speech. While reading out the entire Qur’ān, we pause (lips closing, tongue touching lower part of upper jaw) 37148 times because of this cutting off Jezm.

          2. Arabic Nouns in default state are always in nominative state indicated by vowel sign ـُ , ـُـُ at the end; and are termed مرفوع

Exercise check first 400 words of Qur’ān and find such Prepositional Phrases with prefix بـِ, and write in the comments. You can see word by word Qur’ān, vertical format, in the link given below.

            1. We discussed in our previous sitting the Prepositional Phrase بِسْمِ. Like English, in Arabic also the Prepositions are indeclinable words that introduce the object of a prepositional phrase. Indeclinable words are words that have only one possible form. Particles do not follow the template system and hence they do not have patterns. They are what they are and they must be memorized as they are. However, please relax since they are not much in number and initially just a dozen need to be remembered. In semantic terms, the preposition functions to illustrate a logical, temporal, or spatial relationship between the object of the prepositional phrase and the other components of the sentence.

3.1 Remember Prepositions come before nouns, relative pronouns, like بِٱللَّهِ; and بِـهِـمْ; and بِمَآ; and they constitute one element/ grammatical unit. It can never be a subject or predicate of a sentence. It need to be related with some element of sentence, and then translated.

3.2 It gives us the rule 3 Any word which is in genitive case must not be read, understood, and translated as independent unit/element but in conjunction with the previous word with which it has relationship.

3.4 The second word of Qur’ān is ٱللَّهِ which occurs 829 times. It is also in genitive state. Thus it cannot be taken as independent grammatical unit. We have to see its relationship with (بِسْمِ) its previous word. For finding the immediate previous word, called antecedent, we will have to truncate the affixed preposition which will give us this (سْمِ) word. However, Arabs do not initiate speech with a vowel-less consonant. Therefore, if this noun is written separately in default state, we get this (ٱسْمُ) word. It will by linkage become a phrase (ٱسْمُ ٱللَّهِ) which is equivalent to English Possessive Phrase.

3.5 We are familiar with the Possessives in English like "my, their, etc" and possessive clitic "-'s". "In English, possessive words or phrases exist for nouns and most pronouns, as well as some noun phrases. These can play the role of determiners of nouns (also called possessive adjectives when corresponding to a pronoun). Possessives are one of the means by which genitive constructions are formed in modern English.

3.6 Next we will study Arabic possessive construction and possessive phrases of Qur’ān. In Sha Allah.

Why we must learn self understanding Qur'an

              Peace...
I do appreciate honestly your effort to bring to light some of your findings to others.. If we came alone to this world and if we die alone and if we face God's judgement based on what we did then why we not use our own knowledge to achieve it? Self learning is best way.. Just be responsible for all your decision so no hiccups towards others on that day.. But be wise and never neglect the right thing that we find on others' researches.. Having said that... Let me explain the role of knowledge in one's life..

One would wonder is knowledge and research is mandatory to understand the teachings of Allah. So what happens to those who are poor in knowledge... After all it is about their life hereafter and its destiny. .. They're fighting to ward off hell fire... So why knowledge plays a role in between hell fire and blessed life in janna while knowledge is not with everyone .. . .
In my understanding, knowledge is one huge leap towards the Janna.. Knowledge is a real gift from God to whome He wills and wisdom is massive boost and all these are mercy from God like God has gifted His bounties/wealth as He wills to certain people. To those God has not given knowledge and wisdom it always pushes him towards hell fire.. I am not kidding here.. .. But it is.. Keep reading.. God calls fools and ignorants in Quran.. Aren't they product of God literally? .. Yes.. Why they became fools and ignorants and rejectors in the first place is, they were not given required knowledge by Allah.. So those who got the wisdom from God as I said far ahead towards finding the truth and nearing towards their ultimate goal.. So.. Is knowledge and wisdom enough for one to propel ahead? No.. his breast should be opened by God towards guidance . This is imperative.. Once wisdom coupled with guidance is shown, a person becomes complete to achieve his goal.. If such people fail to achieve their goal then it is their own fault while wisdom and guidance is manifested to them and still they neglected... But those who grabbed the mercy of God by having wisdom and guidance they are real fortunate and indeed real wise people to obey God..
So again one would wonder, are all people on the earth knowledgeable? No.. So isn't it unfair? Well.. Some people are destined with their qualities even they have knowledge or not they won't believe in God's revelations or even God.. Majority on Earth associate to God.. Don't they?.. Among them fools and ignorants and yes intelligent people as well..
So what about illiterate but still believers somehow.. How did they become believers while having no knowledge? It is also mercy of God but very few I presume.. And extremely fortunate they are while being illiterate and still accept God's verses and be constantly believe in God... Such people should probably live with wise true believers and they followed them fortunately ..
Or one would say illiterate and poor people who have no clue what Quran or God's books are, would escape from God's humiliation on the day of judgement eventhough they spent a complete life span like any other?
Well.. won't Allah question every human and Jin on the day of Judgement? Yes He will. Everyone will be given his/her record book regardless in what condition they lived on this earth.. Every action of theirs is consequence of what they achieved? So no one will be favored on the day of judgement... Would they? all will get according to what they did.. But one would still wonder then why favored some people on the earth so that paved inroads for their ultimate goal and facilitated to certain extent..? Well. It is not favor.. God knew them and their faith and He assisted.. If God knew any good in others as well, He would have assisted /favored too but they were astray with worldly life with their own desire .. So God didn't favored them in world life but God would have favored in what they were desiring in life.. Like wealth children etc etc..

If God is fair as He claims, definitely every human and jinn in that case will be judged with justice ... And no one would be able to say it is unfair on us coz of this and that situation we were in while we lived on the earth.. If so everyone would have complaints.. Don't they?
So knowledge is real mercy from God to find our path towards God. Whoever has it, use it.. Whoever is unfortunate without knowledge then it is their destiny and even they had knowledge they won't believe.. Satan has got the grip of them as Satan rightly said in great feud..
How ignorant most on earth... Isn't that the reason Allah says most men and jinn are destined to hell fire..

So my fellow knowledgeable people, you have a big leap and don't lose the mercy God has shown at you.. Your knowledge is your pathway/weapon to straight path if you use it aright.. Road to our final destination is not so simple and everyone needs to work hard to get there using there knowledge as weapon for their own benefit and be responsible individualy on that Day ..

If anyone reaches Janna so simply as we call luckily then it is only a lie... Everyone who gets there, I am sure would have worked hard in their entire life sacrificing many a good things in life.. It all depends how much we remembered God in life... If remembrance of God weighs more than what we remembered other things in life, then it is the success.. So life is sacrifice towards God.. If we don't sacrifice our life to God then we have not served / Abada the Creator which is the purpose of giving a life to us.. then it is hard to achieve our goal if we don't use our knowledge.. Don't let others be responsible for our failure on the day of judgement..

Superb System of Justice-Ignorance of law is a valid plea.

The basic perception infolded in the Root is to be, and make people in a state of cautiousness-awareness-alarmed of imminent-potential threat and its consequence if proper guards are not taken. It is to bring people out of a state of heedlessness and mindlessness, and inform, awaken and alert them about the facts hidden in the future. It is thus advance warning and admonishment to get out of the state of neglectfulness- unawareness and take safeguards to meet the eventuality and avert the danger and negative consequence.

In the administration of human system of justice a famous principle is "Ignorantia juris non excusat or Ignorantia legis neminem excusat . But the built in assumption in this principle is that the ruling/controlling authority had duly and reasonably informed and warned the people through wide publicity.

But the Supreme Sovereign of the Universes has a flawless system of justice based on absolute mercy. In that system none deserves and is liable to punishment until and unless he is informed and warned and made to know in simple and distinct/vivid words regarding what should he abstain from doing. Allah, the Supreme Judge considers the ignorance and unawareness as a strong defense plea for exoneration and takes upon Himself the responsibility to awaken people from their slumber, ignorance, neglectfulness and warn the humanity, and make them explicitly know what they are required to abstain from so that the accused people could not take the plea in their self defense that they were not aware or were not made to understand the prohibitions.

The justice par excellence demands that the Supreme Sovereign/The Authority establishes against an accused, beyond a shadow of doubt, that he committed the crime intentionally and willfully despite knowing and being fully aware of the prohibitions and prescribed punishment/consequence.

After having been warned in simple and explicit manner the one who remains heedless and keeps acting defiantly, contrary to the warning, he exposes and proves against himself that he did the same, deliberately and willfully, ignoring the consequences. He thus proves and makes himself liable to criminal cognizance and arrest for dispensation of justice.

He thus proves and makes himself liable to criminal cognizance and arrest for dispensation of justice.

                  Peace...

Allah states... We sent down the book which is full of WISDOM... Further Allah says it brings you from darkness into light..
Well that sums up the story...
Would fools understand the wisdom or ignorants understand the wisdom?
No.. Knowledge is the only thing that nears to guidance..
If a person is blind, isn't it misfortune? If a person is fool, isn't it misfortune? If a person is ignorant, isn't it misfortune? Who made these people misfortune? Allah.. Why... Do they deserve it? Yes.. Why they deserve it? God knows best the soul even before it was placed / blown in body.. Souls living even before birth and it lives in body and it lives after death.. God knows souls and their inner self..

Okay God's books are full of wisdom so these fools and ignorants and intentional rejectors failed... Fine... But Books just enhance and convince and teaches law but not the only source of guidance... Yes.. This massive nature is full of wisdom and signs through which guidance can reach to who seek... But unfortunately nature is also full of wisdom and how can fools or ignorants or rejectors think of nature for guidance...
                  So knowledge is imperative...
Without knowledge no way one finds success unless he lives with wise true believers and obey with mercy of God...

So seek guidance through knowledge for your success...
If one argues God could have sent a path which is easy for everyone where knowledge is not involved, then he is a fool... God is full of wisdom and He deals with wisdom only... So seek the inevitable which is knowledge..

                  Thank you..

God is wise and knows everything in His Kingdom.. We may sometimes feel guidance not reached to certain people and not warned. But No.. Everyone knew in this Earth that he has a Lord and it is inbuilt...
If you all read the verses 6130-132 with thorough comprehension you will realize that nothing will escape... Even the one who lives in Jungles of Brazil or the one who lives in modern cities. They all know they have their Lord that's inbuilt but they deny... On top of that self knows good is what the self likes and it is inbuilt... If Allah calls people worse than cattles then it doesn't mean just coz they are worse than cattles they are exempted... No one will be exempted from the day of judgement... Be they people Indonesian jungle or Indian nomads or african tribes.. (they all have faith either in their tribal gods deities or even perhaos One God.. Don't they) ... All will stand in front of Allah in that day.. Decision is God's... No favor.. And God is just not by saying but by doing justice... People tempt to think some people are exempted... No way.. I never believe so... If created then you are bound to face the consequences. ..destryong a nation in this world is different to God's judgement day... Just coz didn't destroy a nation doesn't mean they are good... But God does what He wills..

                      Dear Brother Mazhar!

I appreciate your efforts and believe that self-learning is beneficial for us.

However, in case of the words بسم and باسم, I do not agree with your understanding while there is a root word بسم existing in Arabic and used in Quran as well. You need not to follow so-called scholars who have no valid reason to drop the "Alif". See the transliterations of both words and listen to both the words as well.

                      Peace!

                          1. We earlier discussed about possessive phrase. In Arabic, such relationship is denoted by the term أَلإضَافَةُ. It primarily represents the association of one Noun with another Noun, in true sense and is called true construct (أَلإضَافَةُ ٱلْحَقِيقِيَّةُ). It literally means annexation, addition, or attachment; two nouns (pronouns, relative pronouns, and demonstrative pronouns are nouns in Arabic), one belonging or having association to the other.

4.1 It is very easy to visually recognize a Possessive Phrase in the text of Qur’ān if we retain in memory that the Nouns in Arabic in default state are in NOMINATIVE case, that is they have ُ or ـُـُ vowel sign at the end of word. In case a noun has this sign at the end we must find the reason. One reason we already know is that the object noun of a Preposition will always be in genitive case.

4.2 The second word ٱللَّهِ is Proper Noun (Recognitive/status as إِلَـٟهٚ وَٟحِدٚ) and as we know Proper Names are never translated but are spelled in target languages in such manner that they produce identical sound as of original. Therefore, it should be spelled in English as Allah the Exalted. Proper Nouns are intrinsically definite. Individual Proper Name (العَلَمُ الشَّخصِی) is coined for and given to a specific individual; and from the perspective of the one who coined it, the named he/she is unique and the only.

4.3 The Phrase is a string of words that form a constituent and so function as a single unit in the syntax of a sentence. A phrase is lower on the grammatical hierarchy than a clause. These are compounds, in Arabic الْمُرَكَّبَاتُ. When two words are adjoined or joined they constitute what is termed "Phrase" in English and in Arabic it is referred as مركب ناقص- a combination of two words from which no complete information, order or desire is understood. It is an incomplete statement but more that single word. However a combination of two words may also constitute مركب تام a complete Sentence-جُمْلَةٌ.

4.4 Visual recognition of Possessive Phrases

                          (i) The noun that is possessed comes first and is called مُضَاف meaning "additive", "attached", "annexed", "appendix";

(ii) The first Noun of a Possessive Phrase neither has ٱل/ ٱلْ in the beginning nor has ــًــٍــٌ tanwīn at the end.

(iii)The first Noun of a Possessive Phrase is never apparently a Definite Noun; Proper Noun or a noun made definite by using definite article. It will derive definiteness from the second Noun of Phrase if that is Definite; Proper Noun or definite with article ٱل/ ٱلْ.

(iv) The first noun, whatever its grammatical state ـَـِـُ may be, which is determined by external factors like بـِ preposition, it will always render the second noun in the genitive case.

                          (v) The noun that is the possessor comes second/after, and is called مُضَاف إلَيْه; it can be proper noun, definite noun, pronoun; or indefinite noun.

(vi) The Second Noun of a Possessive Phrase is always in Genitive Case .

Exercise Visually find Possessive Phrases in first 400 words of Qur’ān and write why you think it is Possessive Phrase.
Words are vertically isolated here. You have to make Possessive Phrases

                                  Salam brother Mazhar!

I have shared basic examples of Rizq and Ilm and there are more e.g., فَسَقَ ---> FiSQ, فَطَرَ ---> FiTR etc.

You know the use of Shadda, of course which changes the meaning from smile to 'laugh' or to 'smile much' therefore, فَتَبَسَّم means "so s/he laughed".

If you see dictionaries for the word ضحك then you will see that it has same to same meanings (you may copy-paste it too). However, if you study deeper, you will find that the word ضحك actually means to ridicule. So فتبسم ضاحکا means to "laugh in a ridiculous way".

But there is no shadda on the word بِسم. So, the word بسم means "smile" which shows pleasure / agreement. بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ مَجْر۪ىٰهَا وَمُرْسَىٰهَآ means "Smile/pleasure/agreement of Allah starts it and stops it."
                                  إِنَّهُۥ بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
أَلَّا تَعْلُوا۟ عَلَىَّ وَأْتُونِى مُسْلِمِينَ means "Indeed it is pleasure of Allah, the Most-Merciful, the Ever-Merciful, THAT not you show eminence above Me (Allah) and come to Me (Allah) as submitters." This is the کِتٰب کریم which was sent by Suleiman to the queen. And you may know that مُسلمین are those who submit to Allah.

                                  Peace!

                                    فَلَمَّا جَآءَتْ قِيلَ أَهَٰكَذَا عَرْشُكِ ۖ قَالَتْ كَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ ۚ وَأُوتِينَا ٱلْعِلْمَ مِن قَبْلِهَا وَكُنَّا مُسْلِمِينَ
So when she came, it was said "Is that like your throne?", she said "Indeed it is like that". (Suleiman said) "And we were given the knowledge before her and we became Muslimeen".

                                      Peace!

                                      Salamun alaika,

Why to attribute ridiculousness to the circumstantial adverb ضَاحِكٙا that relates to the manner of فَتَبَسَّمَ Form-V verb? Why not take it as feeling amused and amazed by superb succinctness of the command of Queen in life threatening situation?

                                      فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكٙا مِّن قَوْلِـهَا

Thereon, having heard, he (Sulie'maan alai'his'slaam) smiled feeling amused by her commanding statement —

                                      وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِـىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَـىَّ وَعَلَـىٰ وَٟلِدَىَّ

And he said, "O my Sustainer Lord! Enable me that I may acknowledge with gratitude Your Favour which You have showered upon me and upon my parents —

                                      وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَٟلِحٙا تَرْضَىٰهُ

And that I may conduct with that perfection which You the Exalted appreciatively approve —

                                      وَأَدْخِلْنِى بِرَحْـمَتِكَ فِـى عِبَادِكَ ٱلصَّٟلِحِيـنَ .١٩

And do enter me with Your Mercy amongst Your sincere perfectionists".

In first place, we need to see why Suleiman was amused by her saying? If you think that Suleiman thanked Allah for the blessing of "understanding the منطق of Ants" then take a closer look where it is mentioned as منطق الطیر which means "birds" and not "insects". Moreover, find that this blessing was also given to Dawood as per أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَـىَّ وَعَلَـىٰ وَٟلِدَىَّ.

I am with the view that مسٰکن of النمل could also be stomped by the huge army of Suleiman. So, the situation or the saying of the النملۃ was kind of ridiculous for Suleiman. That is why he laughted in a ridiculous way.

                                        Peace!

Yes, Aunt resembles birds by definition of bird given in Qur'an, and universally accepted.
