One of my very good friends used to participate in lucid dreaming on a regular basis. He would re-create characters that used to haunt his dreams. He killed them one by one in his lucid state. But there was on character that just wouldn't die. It was a cross-breed of Freddie and Jason. This was the one character he was most afraid of as a child, and the one he was most fearful of facing. He ended up fighting this thing in his dream, and the moster jabbed him in the calf with his claws. When he woke up, he still had the pain in his calf. And the pain remained for a few months. No B.S.

The human spirit is far more capable then we are aware. We get glimpses now and then, and life is full of examples of this power. From phantom limbs to sponataneous healing, from superhuman strength to unexplainable intuition. There are many, many facets to the human consciousness.

Necro'ed thread but great post, aligns with my experiences.

        You people are incredibly stupid.

Rude? No, it's called bluntness. Jinn are clearly explained in the Quran and Hadith, so why on earth would you go from something that is clear to something unclear which you popped out of your own head? Yet the entire point of this forum is exactly this. Making up your own conclusions about Islamic laws is one thing, but introducing your own innovations into belief is complete and utter kufr. That means it makes you a kaafir. Yes. So if you have any brains, submit yourselves to the Quran and Sunnah, and stop labelling your stupidity as "truth".

An example of your ignorance and stupidity

To me, jinn is one of the most confusing topics in the Qur'an. At certain points, it seems jinn are simply emotions. At other points, they are a race. They are made from fire, or have a fiery temperment. At the same time, some submit to God while others do not, and still some are caught in between.

Surah 72 depicts them as nomads. But check out 3440-41

3440 One Day He will gather them all together, and say to the angels, "Was it you that these men used to worship?"
3441 They will say, "Glory to Thee! our (tie) is with Thee - as Protector - not with them. Nay, but they worshipped the Jinns most of them believed in them."

Does that make any sense to you? Do you know of anyone who worships invisible beings that we call "jinn"? I certainly don't. However, this was made out to be important enough to include in the Qur'an, which means masses of people will have worshipped the jinn.

Do you know of anyone who worships fire? I certainly don't, so they can't exist! I also don't know any Jews, so they can't exist either!

The moron here doesn't understand that some powerful jinn would be worshipped by some people in ancient Arabia. Had he tried to understand and actually sought this knowledge, he would've found that they even used to believe that jinn were the sons of Allah (authubillah). This is still practiced in Voodooism and some African shamans, who worship jinn as "ancestors" and allow self-possession, and even magicians who worship the jinn in return for their assistance.

As for the topic itself and those who say this is sorcery although it can be used for that, you people need to think before you speak about religion, and speak only when you are sure, especially when talking about fatawa. Suleyman (AS) had jinn in his service, and here you are calling it sorcery, when Allah rebukes the Jews and Christians in the Quran for doing the same thing. Rasulullah (SWS) himself was about to subdue a jinn until he remembered Suleyman (AS)'s du'a that no one after him should be granted an army like his. You who immediately say that communicating with jinn is something evil are just as ignorant as the morons who make up their own interpretations of the Quran.

Yes, often times learning "secret knowledge" like this requires the person to do disgusting acts and kufr, like abusing the Quran and making sacrifices to the jinn, and yes people need and use jinn to practice their black magic. There isn't any kufr or shirk in the described procedure though, unless these "mantras" are ayaat read backwards or something. There are even other forms of black magic that don't use jinn.

Whether or not binding a jinn itself is permissible is something that needs to be taken to someone with knowledge and should be avoided entirely in the meantime. Telling people to summon jinn to prove their argument is stupidity. Use the Quran and Sunnah, and if they disagree, then leave them to their kufr. Yes, not believing in jinn as they are is kufr since it necessitates disbelief in the Quran and Hadith.

Those of you who like to make up your own interpretations are playing a very dangerous game. The Quran and Islam itself are not something to mess around with. Try reading the Quran with submission and acceptance for once.

          Dear All

Dr Shabbir of www.ourbeacon.com interprets Jinn as

Jinn = Something hidden, rarely seen. So, after using Tasreef, Al-Jinn = The
nomads. Jannah from the same root means a garden hidden in foliage. When the
Jinns or nomads move to dwell in towns and become civilized, they are referred
          to as Ins.
Ins = Urbanites = Humans including the nomads.

              Hmm..
so Nomads, eh? and they can see us from whence we cannot see them...

and wouldn't the Prophet have dealings with Nomads, he surely knows who they are as fellow humans, why would Allah then describe them as having communities, etc in Surah AlJinn? as if they are Nomads, how stupid will it be to claim that? do you mean Allah is?!!

and more salient, why did Allah bother to describe them as being made of smokeless fire?... that they listened to information from the higher skys, and that now they are pursued by fiery projectilles if they try...
methinks they do not sound humans at all... unless they had flying saucers then, lol!...

I think in light of the description in the Quran, stating the Jinns are human Nomads is even more fantastic than accepting that there are other beings in this Universe which we cannot see, nor have easy dealings with, because for some (good?) reason they do not seem to be interested to communicate with us, apart from the Evil wagerer among them who promised himself that he will lead humans astray as much as he could for bitter jealousy...

I have to give you this, they do have emotions, that is clear, but so does Allah...

Contacting Jinns I believe is not PROHIBITED in the Quran unless you provide me with the verse and I will rightfully take back what I say. This topic is only for people that interpret Jinns from Quran to be NON BEINGS i.e EMOTIONS. You can interpret Quran however you want but I believe with experience you will be able to KNOW that they ARE BEINGS that live with HUMANS.

                PEACE

all the rituals u have prescribed and the DEVOTION dat is needed for performing these are of high level... and NONE OTHER THAN ALLAH deserves this level of DEVOTION (dedicated towards)... what do u think prayer/salat commemoration is??? they are spiritual food for ur spirit devoted towards ALLAH... now, if u want to devote them to a jinn or satan, dat means really u have crossed a line... and NO WHERE in QURAN black magic has been inspired, rather ALLAH suggested us to seek refuge in ALLAH in al-falaq to stay away from the black magic... and a jinn can not touch a human being as mentioned in quran... so, that physical FIGHT part not applicable rather u will end up beating urself which is easy for a jinn to make u hallucinate/hypnotized through massive whispering...

Contacting the Jinn through magic is prohibited. Surah 24 says, "And who believe in that which has been bestowed from on high upon thee, as well as in that which was bestowed before thy time for it is they who in their innermost are certain of the life to come!"

Since we believe in that which was revealed before then the prohibition against using "Magic", or sorcery, or trying to contact the dead is arguably valid. Ask any Jew and they will tell you that this is a major sin! Summoning spirits was something which was done by pagans of the past and is still being performed by the modern Neopagans. The Jews were warned in the Torah to not follow the pagan practices of the communities around them and summoning spirits was one of the practices of those pagan communities. Was not King Saul condemned by God, in the Torah, when he sought a witch to summon the dead!

                  Peace to you.
I know my post may sound angry but that is not the intent.

I believe contacting jinn is not encouraged in the Qur'an.

I strongly suggest Brothers and Sisters for not easily tempted to want this kind of things.

Instead of using your time to communicate with the jinn, it is so much better to use your time to communicate with Allah.

If you hope for something, you should beg to Allah, but sometimes you should be patient until it's granted.

And be patient is not bad.
