    I realise that I still have this option;
Divide myself into two and have an honest conversation with both "me" about our world stand and fate.
I will call my other self "good civilised reason" and here we go

GL What shall we call our conversation?
GCR Let us call it "the civilised way1.

GL Fine, you start the conversation or ask the first question.
GCR What do you make of the current middle east crisis?
GL I thought this crisis is not a current one, has it not started in 1948 at least?
GCR I mean do you condemn the recent Hamas attack on Israel first?
GL Of course , my instinct condemns all killing of innocent people ,injustice towards them and oppression.
GCR Do you agree that Israel has the right to defend itself?
GL Israel does not recognise a state called Hamas, Is Israel taking action against its own citizens? Most Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza hold Israeli passports and are under occupation .
GCR So what is the correct retaliation for Israel then? How can Hamas be punished ,hiding among the Palestinians?
GL I see.. You mean Israel are contradicting themselves? They say they know where "the terrorists" are . They control Gaza and know every detail of their plans and tunnels and bases..-.Except that surprise attack that they somehow missed- So why don t they attack just Hamas positions ?
Oh silly me, Hamas use churches, hospitals and people s houses and shops as bases!

GCR; That s right, and Israel have high tech equipment and can do precise and accurate hits.Remember Hamas are responsible for this.
GL Yes, you are right. They hit the exact epicentre of these places. I just hope for their sake that they don t clean up most of the innocent people and Hamas stays intact to carry on the status quo of occupation.

Time for a cup of tea.
    To be continued...
    GOD bless you all.
    Peace.

      Back from the tea break.
By the way ,join the conversation if you wish. You are welcome.

GCR Israel has the right to self defence. Hamas must be pursued wherever they are..

GL You are right again. I can easily see a scenario of Hamas moving to Lebanon, Syria, Egypt.., Any Arab state or rogue state as defined by the "civilised state" and Israel has the right to bomb anywhere they say Hamas is hiding or may be another faction like "Islamic Jihad" or a new faction that will be defined as "terrorists" by Israel and the "civilised states!.

GCR Israel is a democracy and a civilised nation. It has the right to exist and a duty of doing the right thing. Hamas is responsible for this situation.

GL I see, divide the world into two, Hamas and Israel.. In that case, Hamas is responsible and wherever Israel says Hamas is, that state or country will have to be bombed...Remember this Hamas did not even have its own state to start with?

GCR; You are making assumptions. Israel is the good side. It needs support of all civilised nations in its hour of need.

GL I agree with you. I am from a civilised state and the majority of my people do not support or even highlight the case of the Palestinians under Hamas or in the west bank. Hamas have blown it for them. as far as they are concerned.. Palestinians according to some have no right. to defend themselves, they have no power or help or rights to anything from now on.. The civilised way has to decide rights and what is right.

GCR This is for the benefit of all the world order . Peace will only be possible if all the "terrorist" are defeated.

GL Is war not a big risk for all the world? Although I agree with the civilised way to have its way because it has the power,.is the risk to enforce peace now not the logical and reasonable approach? I am saying take the small risk of having peace now between Israel and palestine instead of the big risk of a catastrific world war!!!

GCR Once Israel defends itself and secures peace for its people, the other peace will follow.

GL I hope ,in that case,Israel will achieve peace with itself.

      Time for another break.
      GOD bless you all.
      Peace.

Back to the conversation with my other"me"

GCR Now GL, you choose your question.
GL Thank you. when Israeli Jews know that someone is helping Palestinians, they often view them as somebody who chose a side. Similarly when Palestinians know someone is helping Israel they view them taking that side. And as a human rights cause, I can say that one should chose humanity not sides.
Right now, there are families with kids and disabled Palestinians who are just in panic. And they need to be evacuated to a safe place. So for me, it's a continuation. It's not opposites, Do you disagree?
GCR War means suffering and casualties. It cannot be helped.
GL I will quote you an article by the civilised media- The gardian newspaper- Quote

Why did Hamas and Islamic Jihad launch the attack?
The exact reasons for the attack are not clear, but there has been growing violence for months between Israeli soldiers and settlers and Palestinians in the West Bank. Armed settlers have attacked Palestinian villages; militants in the West Bank have attacked soldiers and settlers, and there have been repeated IDF raids on Palestinian cities.

During the past week, some Jews have prayed inside the compound of al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem’s Old City. The area around the mosque is known to Muslims as Haram al-Sharif and is the third holiest place for Islam after Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia. To Jews, it is known as Temple Mount, and is venerated as the site of the biblical Jewish temple. Jews are not permitted to pray inside al-Aqsa compound; to do so is highly provocative. Hamas has called its current offensive Operation al-Aqsa Deluge.

The longer backdrop is a 16-year blockade of Gaza by Israel and Egypt that has almost destroyed the strip’s internal economy and has caused hardship for the people living there.

What do you make of the article?
          GCR It is a narrative.
GL Like the Israel narratives, you mean it could be false? Or the 16 year old blockade is not true?
GCR I said Hamas is responsible this time and you agreed.
GL I agreed that killing innocent people and oppressing them should be condemned. from both sides. Now I want to bring these two points to our conversation
1-The exact reason for Hamas attack is not clear.
2-Why did the attack take Israel by surprise?
Hamas must have planned this offensive for many months, and it is a mystery why Israeli intelligence appears to have had no idea it was coming.
Israel’s surveillance of Gaza is intense. It monitors activity, communications and daily life via state-of-the-art surveillance equipment, including drones flying over the strip. It also relies on human intelligence via informants, many of whom are blackmailed or otherwise coerced into assisting Israel.

What do you think the reason is? Or can there be something else we do not know?
          GCR We can only speculate.
GL I remember in the past there are still speculations about 9/11, Iraq ,Libya and Syria ...wars... We can speculate but innocent people keep dying in their thousands.Human rights should be for all humans.
          Break time.
          GOD bless you all.
          Peace.
