    Peace be upon you Salikah,

So how are you guys "striving" for God's system?

I can only speak for myself. The first step for us all is to develop the proper understanding of what is being inspired to us. As can be seen, everyone is not clear. We have to develop the CORRECT beliefs so that we can develop the correct VISION. We must purify our NAFS so that the God's attributes within us can manifest.

Then the job is this, to make the message clear, to deliver the clear message.

This message, as all "religions" are given to us for BEHAVIOR SHAPING. We start with ourselves and move outward from our closest relationships to the furthest. And we need to be examples before we can deliver the message.

We also have to keep the balance with giving spiritually and giving materially (charity).

All of these things are what I am doing.

However, what are some of you guys doing in regards to "being a Muslim"...

The word "muslim" is a description , NOT a title. It is a description RELATIVE to what you are doing. So we should strive to ACT as one who is a peaceful submitter at all times.

Mu + salaam = one who is peacefully submissive, not the name of a member of a religion.

particularly respective to fighting for basic human and environmental rights?

The only way to fight is to continue to TEACH, spread the clear message and to use the method supplied to us by the God, DEBATING(hajja), not arguing(jidala).

      Peace Br Kyle,

I get the intention that you suppose that we all are messengers who is working to get the real meanings from Al-Quran clear to us.

Why are then Quran saying that it is clear for those who want to understand?

Many places in Quran it says that the scripture is clear and it explain itself.

So cannot we just read and follow it then!?

Or is there a messenger who will help us on the right track!?

Have you read Br Shareef's site Genuine-Islam.com?

What do you think about it?

      Peace
      Sis Majidah

Peace be upon you sister Majidah,

I get the intention that you suppose that we all are messengers who is working to get the real meanings from Al-Quran clear to us.

NO, everyone is not a messenger, only those who speak VERIFYABLE TRUTH are messengers. And one is only DESCRIBED as messenger AT THE TIME they are delivering he clear message.

For example, if I tell someone to be balanced in life, I am a messenger at that time, but if my VERY NEXT SENTENCE IS, "you should go buy some crack", then I am not a messenger. It is a relative description.

Why are then Quran saying that it is clear for those who want to understand?

Yes, the God's truthful statements are clear for those who want to understand, how does that differ from anything I have said?

Many places in Quran it says that the scripture is clear and it explain itself.

The Book (The universe) is clear and does explain itself to those who reflect on it. But not everyone reflects, so there is a need for MESSENGERS to help each other to go in the right direction.

So cannot we just read and follow it then!?

YOur questions lead me to believe that you have pre concieved ideas about what I am saying that are wrong. Yes, we can read the God's UNIVERSE (Al kitaab) and follow the guidance, if we strive hard enough. But just like we had a math teacher in school, so is the messenger there to help you speed up the process.

It is very simple, when one intuits something that others have not already figured out, then it has come from WITHIN, from the God, then whoever spreads the NOT KNOWN information is DESCRIBES as a messenger. These are common descriptions, but people have made them into SUPER, LARGER THAN LIFE, MEGA HUMANS, and that is misleading many.

Or is there a messenger who will help us on the right track!?

There is always a messenegr to help. The word "rasool" means both messenger and message. If you were doing wrong and someone told you to do right, than that person was a messenger, very simple.

Have you read Br Shareef's site Genuine-Islam.com?

What do you think about it?

I agree with much, but Shareef is claiming (at least he was last time I checked) to be the ONE and EXCLUSIVE MESSENGER. This is totally false. Again, it is a relative description, if SHareef or ANYONE speaks TRUTH, they are in the role of messenger.

Mmmhmm...I agree. Which is why my statement "being a Muslim" is in parenthesis.

Thanks for answering my question as to how you are conducting yourself as a submitter.

For anecdotal purposes I was speaking to a Sunni the other day who was, of course, questioning my knowledge. As a strong political activist here in Washington, DC, he is convinced that he is doing "God's work". Since he admits that he does not seek the words of the Qur'an as highly as he does the words of the Sunnis around him, I asked "How can you be so sure that you are doing God's work when you do not know God's Word?"

His answer "Because my Muslim teachers around me confirm this."

          ? ? ? ?

Khi- Salam sister. I think it's misleading coz of his translation of 3340. He made a great mistake regarding the trans of 3340 which says
'ma KAANA Muhammadan Abaa...' , the word KAANA indicating tht the whole sentence is in PAST TENSE NOT PRESENT.
            n shld be translated as
Muhammad WAS not the father of any man among you. He WAS a messenger of GOD and the final prophet. GOD WAS fully aware of all things.
So his whole theory is wrong. He definitely made a mistake here. Dont get confused as regarding GOD WAS fully aware in past tense either coz this is just 2 satisfy the sentense in the grammatical context. As we all know 4 GOD time is irrelevant so this is just a grmmatical justification. Another interpretation in the context is tht it cld be said tht coz GOD is talking 2 our generation making it clear tht at tht PAST TIME GOD WAS ALSO AWARE FULLY. GOD Bless!

So how are you guys "striving" for God's system? Is it by spreading the word of God alone? Is it raising awareness and dispersing information to those who may not be aware? If so,by the pen, by music?

And as a general question to the 19 Submitters Do you associate number 19 with divinity, or the occurance of the 19 sequence in the Qur'an with divinity?

Khi- Salam. We say tht the PATTERN in the Quran based on no. 19 is one of GOD's greatest miracles/signs n is ofcourse set in Quran by GOD, but not tht the number is Divine itself. GOD Bless!

....to be the ONE and EXCLUSIVE MESSENGER. This is totally false.

                      Peace Kyle,

I appreciate your understanding of messenger to be the describing the status of delivering truth by any person etc, but I don't agree with this applying to a messenger selected by God to deliver the message.

The reason is that in reading the message it is clear that the messenger status wasn't turned off and on like a tap. The status clearly applies to that person at all times until the mission is complete (usually with the passing away of the messenger).

The issue of ONE exclusive messenger is as you state wrong. In the reading it is clear from chapter 36 that there can be more than one messenger at any time sent to a community.

The important thing is that a messenger never asks for acknowledgement. The role of a messenger is to deliver the message and that's it. I see too many examples of 'messengers' who demand to be recognised as such and the webmaster of genuineislam.com is one such example amongst many others.

A true messenger of God asks for no wage. A wage is not simply money; to wish to derive respect or acknowledgement etc is in effect a request for payment. After all, we say that we PAY our respects to someone etc.

That's why claims of messengership which rely upon recognition can be dismissed altogether. That's why Shareef fails the criteria.

                      Regards.

                        Salaam,

One question to you all is that how can anyone really reject a person as a messenger if that person claims that he has got advice from God?

We cannot say that he is wrong or right if we didn't have get the proofs of it inside us.

All messengers from God has never been perfect they have always done something wrong and then learnt from it.

So I cannot understand why you think Br Shareef is so wrong!?

I think people today are so selfish and jelous when someone stick out their nose and want to guide someone because they want to be in his clothes.I doubt that it is many who can witness a messenger from God today and it is due to their lack of humbleness.

                        Peace

                          Peace,

If you review my post you will see that a messenger never asks for recognition or acknowledgement of it. God suffices as a witness to the messenger. The messenger just delivers the message - if it is truth it will win out over everything else. If it is false it will fail.

There are several criteria for a messenger but the most important one is that the messenger never asks for a wage

26109 "I do not ask you for any wage. My wage comes from the Lord of the universe.
26127 "I do not ask you for any wage; my wage comes from the Lord of the universe.
26145 "I do not ask you for any wage; my wage comes only from the Lord of the universe.
26164 "I do not ask you for any wage; my wage comes only from the Lord of the universe.
26180 "I do not ask you for any wage; my wage comes only from the Lord of the universe.

3447 Say, "I do not ask you for any wage; you can keep it. My wage comes only from GOD. He witnesses all things."

3621 "Follow those who do not ask you for any wage, and are guided.

5240 Are you asking them for any wage, and they are burdened thereby?

When you ask to be recognised as a/the messenger of God you are asking for a wage; you are asking for acknowledgement. You are burdening people with the payment of recognition.

So I stress that anyone who asks you for recognition as a messenger has already failed. From what I recall from a thread some time ago - Shareef's only point of argument was to receive recognition as a messenger. He delivered no message but rather argued for his own status as a messenger.

                          This fails the criterion.

                          Regards.

                              Here is Br Shareef's replies!

Let them know that I have NO personal issue with any
of them... this is GOD and HIS message... they either
accept it or reject it, and my duty is to EXPOSE them
to themselves and EXPOSE their falsehood, hypocrisy
and crookedness AND LIES about GOD, HIS message, and
                              HIS messenger.

In answer to the argument he raised I say... That is
FALSE, WRONG, and his argument is NOT valid... there
are MANY places where the word "Kana", "kanat",
"Kunum" etc etc, is NOT ONLY used for the present, but

                              ====================================

The main point is, even if GOD is referring to the
past, it would still be valid and accurate that the
messenger of GOD remains an on-going possibility.

Why would GOD say that "muhammad" is or was NOT the
father of any of your men??... what practical PURPOSE
does serve in the PAST, other than the illogical silly
                              traditional explanation!!??

It is clearly a declaration of the FACT that muhammad
(the messenger of GOD) IS NOT limited to the past...
the structure of the verse is a CLEAR Indication, the
more you think about the more you will realize and
believe if you are sincere and humble enough to
                              DESERVE and GAIN GOD's guidance.

Let me share with you a VERY serious Important FACT...
this is NOT a game, and I'm putting my life on the
line here... be honest and see it from my side
                              according to GOD'S BOOK.

Under the overwhelming logical verifiable undeniable
multiple evidence you have NO reason to argue or
reject... your BEST option is to either accept and/or
wait and continue to sincerely and humbly desire and
seek GOD'S guidance to DESERVE AND GAIN HIS Guidance.

You have nothing to loose and obviously much much much
to gain... don't rush and don't say things that you
will soon regret... if you are NOT SURE about this
issue... do your duty and check and verify... and I
extended my invitation to anyone who is SINCERE AND
HUMBLE ENOUGH in his or her desire to seek the
truth... just simply humble and ask simple questions,
and don't worry about the sophistication of the
question, worry about the SINCERITY OF IT... great
intellectual philosophers go astray for their lack of
                              sincerity.

I warn you NOT to be mislead by your own deeds, and
don't get recklessly satisfied by what you know now...
I ASSURE YOU THAT THERE IS MUCH MUCH MUCH MORE TO
GOD'S GUIDANCE THAN MOST IF NOT ALL OF YOU REALIZE.

Again, This is the honest to GOD TRUTH, I have NO
desire what-so-ever MORE than to be guided, fulfill my
sacred duty, and go to paradise, don't be a victim of
all kinds of baseless conjectures and nonsense,
                              arrogance, crookedness (makr), jealousy, hypocrisy,
                              and ignorance... DON' DON'T DON'T.

I have NO idea what will happen next, I only follow
what is being REVEALED to me.

MY MISSION IS TO FULFILL GOD'S MESSAGE BY WARNING, AND
ANNOUNCING THE GOOD NEWS, CONVEYING AND CLARIFYING THE
MESSAGE TO ALL HUMAN-KINDS, GUIDE THE BELIEVERS WITH
HIS PERMISSION, AND JUDGE BETWEEN THEM.

I'm NOT asking you to believe blindly... I'm asking
you to be sincere and humble enough in desiring and
seeking GOD'S guidance as you check and verify my
claim by the book of GOD.

                              Peace
                              Shareef

                                Peace SwedenMajidah,

I visited the site a while ago when it was much smaller. At that time while reading the site I got the impression while reading the material that the tone of the author was that he was the messenger that he was taking great pains to explain. But he was beating around the bush - he did not come out and say it - I felt that he was being less than transparent.

I then found a thread about him in the TRASH here and everything I had thought back then was confirmed.

See I don't need an elaborate explanation of 3340 to know that God continues to send messengers. I believe that Rashad Khalifa was a messenger for example - I don't know what Shareef may think on that issue. Nevertheless most God alone people recognise that there will be, and has been other messengers based solely on the fact that God says that to each community there will be messengers sent.

I visited his site again just now and the site has grown in amount of material but it has not changed in its quality. The ideas presented are not coherent and are not presented well. The colourful message with font changes etc. do not impress me personally as an educated person.

In fact it points to a disorganisation of thoughts; in medical terminology one detects that there are "flight of ideas" and "knight's move" thinking happening. Moreover there are ideas of grandiosity that point to an author who is troubled by a formal thought disorder (most likely mania/hypomania).

Statements like "LET ME ASSURE YOU THAT THIS IS THE TRUTH, ANYTHING ELSE IS NOT THE TRUTH"

are also quite revealing and assume one's infallibility. There is plenty of evidence of a disturbed person writing the material on the site. It's not just about a language barrier (God sends messengers to communities that speak plainly, and deliver clear messages in the language of those people. Shareef fails even in this regard); it's about a complete inability to convey a concise and to the point message without beating around the bush.

Anyhow I think you get the idea that I think that someone who places importance on their messengership without being able to clearly and precisely state their message is a quite damning thing regarding the motivations of that person.

                                Regards.

                                  Peace to you Servant,

Well you have right to think what you want.

Beside the thing that Br Shareef says he is a messenger from God, it doesn't matter if you believe in him as a messenger or not because although there is a good message and advice on his sites for people who want to be close to God.

It doesn't matter if you think he is paranoid and so on and that his layout on his site isn't so good, so what! not all can create everything so nice can they?

Was that Rashad Khaliffah so good then, didn't he any mistakes?

People you talking about doesn't exist, people cannot act like God and be perfect.

And you also complain about his language LOL he isn't an englishman HE IS ARAB and write in english language.

I think I will stop here for now!

                                  Peace
                                  Sister Majidah

                                    Peace SwedenMajidah,

Yes, to me my way and to you yours.

The real point of everything is about what message is being presented? Can you in a paragraph or even a sentence describe what Shareef is trying to do? What's the aim? If there is a message or a point then it's best if that is presented.

The main flaw in the website Shareef presents is that it starts with plenty of disjointed ideas presented incoherently followed at the climax by a message of 'join us'

You can read the book of GOD and be familiar with it, and understand and appreciate the DECLARATION introductory basic message via confirmed consolidated verses (Muhkamaat), but don't expect to grow and realize the rest of the message via other unconfirmed, unconsolidated verse ( Mutashabihaat) before you are sincere and purified enough which will anable you to GAIN GOD'S guidance that will gradually clarify, confirm, and consolidate the "Mutashabihaat" verses to become "Muhkamaat" and will eventually and gradually enable you to recognize, realize, and believe in the messenger WHEN AND IF you witness him and realize the ture meaning of the rest of the message as he convey it and clarify it to you.

                                    <snip>

Having said the above, If you KNOW that you are responsible enough, and SURE that you are free, sincere and humble enough in desiring, seeking, and following GOD'S guidance, serious about studying, searching, and finding the TRUTH in HIS book of ultimate wisdom and unequaled guidance, open to the prospect of a living messenger of GOD and ready to believe in him whenever you witness him then you are more than welcome to join us keeping these verses in mind .

The first block of red shows that there is a belief that this one person holds the one "ture" (sic) meaning which they will convey to you WHEN AND IF you believe in the messengership claim.

I thought the whole website was about the "ture" meaning - is there something more to it - something hidden which requires joining? Sounds like falsehood to me.

Notice that the word TRUE is spelt incorrectly; this is obviously an error - but it's the only word spelt incorrectly in the whole paragraph. A slip up, but what a slip up - God has ensured that this crucial word betrays the falsehood being presented. He may now fix this on account of my presenting it - but it's here for posterity.

Even the messenger who delivered the Koran - 'Ahmad' if that term is more correct for you - was admonished from attempting to explain the Koran and was charged only to deliver the message. The message means things to persons it is delivered to - the essential message is unambiguous and clear to all who receive it.

No messenger keeps things secret or personal for sharing only with those who profess faith in their messengership. It is not God's way - the message is always open to everyone without falsehood and secrecy.

Please examine this carefully and know that the path of secrecy and exclusiveness is Satan's way - God's truth triumphs over falsehood always and is always open to any of his servants who incline towards God alone.

                                    Peace.

                                      Peace be upon you Idmkhizar,

                                      YOU have made some errors in your posts, First, you translation of 3340 is incorrect;
                                      It should go like this

(3340) Is not one who appreciates(muhammadun) a father (to) anyone from your men, and but The God's messenger, and the prophets' seal , and The God IS with every thing knowledgeable.

"muhammad" is a characteristic, a level to be achieved by men and women who strive to be appreciative of the God's guidance.
As with the other words that start with "MU", it takes on the quality of "HAMD" which is appreciation.

JUst like MU+slim is a word describing a person of Peaceful submission (salaam)

Just like we have the words "Mumin", "Musalleen", etc

This is not the name of a literal figure as much as people want to believe false stories(hadith) of history and say there is historical proof. The truth is there is HEARSAY, you can believe it blindly or you can seek the truthful resolution that I am expounding upon. I leave that to your free decision making, weighing of evidence.

Next, "kana" means IS , not WAS. The GOD "IS" knowledgeable , not "WAS".

Next, to be one who appreciates (muhammadun) is to reach the SEAL that prevents the wicked from true understanding. It IN NO WAY implies "END" or "FINAL", the God has expressed ENDING/FINALITY all throughout the reading(quran) with no problem, and this is not the word that is used for such an implication.

                                      Lastly

We say tht the PATTERN in the Quran based on no. 19 is one of GOD's greatest miracles/signs

Ayat does NOT mean miracle, it means SIGN, there is NO MENTION of "miracles" anywhere in this reading.

                                        Peace be upon you Servant,

I appreciate your understanding of messenger to be the describing the status of delivering truth by any person etc, but I don't agree with this applying to a messenger selected by God to deliver the message.

I respect your disagreement, but the evidence is in my favor. It is only from PRE CONCIEVED IDEAS about a mere WORD (rasool) that keeps us thinking it is something more than what it is. It is only because we are dealing with "religious" matters that t his word is blown out of proportion. Your response is no different from those in the past who expected some kind of "angel" to come down or some kind of special gifts to be showered on "a man LIKE US". This is why it was always stated that "The God suffices as a witness" because it is IMPOSSIBLE for another human to BEAR WITNESS to what is inside another. The people of the past could never except that the message was coming from another human, and this is the state we find ourselves in today. We are busy looking to the PAST, while the God says that there are messengers for ALL children of Adam. Are we to be brainwashed into thinking only people in Middle East and in the PAST get messengers? Well, if that is your understanding, then I respect it for YOU, but I can see clearly that the God is telling ALL READERS who dare take the responsibility

                                        YOU ARE A MESSENGER!

If we follow the God, this world will be a better place and sister Sakinah would not have to rightly question "WHAT IS EVERYONE DOING?"

(1343) And those who reject say "You are not sent (a messenger)." Say "Enough/sufficient with The God (as) a witness/testifier between me and between you, and who at him (is) The Book's knowledge."

The reason is that in reading the message it is clear that the messenger status wasn't turned off and on like a tap. The status clearly applies to that person at all times until the mission is complete (usually with the passing away of the messenger).

No, this is incorrect. The reason you cannot see what I am saying is because you are not taking into consideration that we are shown the example of the "Messenger". What I am saying is this, you do not see "Obey Muhammad, Obey Jesus, Obey Musa, ect." Know why? Because HUMANS ARE NOT PERFECT. Instead we see Obey the Messenger, because it is the ONE MESSAGE that is to be obeyed, not infallible humans. Infallible humans are going through the TEST of this earth and are not reliable at all times. And we even get a glimpse ofthis when the "prophet" (still does not say Muhammad, or Jeses, etc) withheld what he was suppossed to deliver and also when he turned away from the blind man.

Even in the direct example of "Musa" we see that he killed a man, and Jonah tried to reject his mission, and David who failed the test of LOOKING AT BOTH SIDES OF THE ARGUMENT and bowed down repenting

(3824) ...And David suspected that We tested him so he asked for forgiveness (from) his Lord, and he fell down bowing, and He repented/obeyed .

The issue of ONE exclusive messenger is as you state wrong. In the reading it is clear from chapter 36 that there can be more than one messenger at any time sent to a community.

Yes, we agree here and that is why Shareef is wrong, there is ALWAYS a succession of messengers because there is ALWAYS a human being calling another to WHAT IS RIGHT, and WHAT IS RIGHT does not have to be pointing to a particluar book, though it can be.

The important thing is that a messenger never asks for acknowledgement. The role of a messenger is to deliver the message and that's it. I see too many examples of 'messengers' who demand to be recognised as such and the webmaster of genuineislam.com is one such example amongst many others.

Yes, we agree here also and it is a clear sign of falsehood. A true messenger lest the God suffice as a witness, but my goal is to make people aware that MESSENGERSHIP is something we can all attain. Our EXAMPLES were messengers. How can we follow thier example if we cannot live up to the example set? It makes no sense. And let me make it clear, I do not claim to be THE MESSENGER, I claim that when I speak the TRUTH, I can be described as a messenger, and when I speak incorrectly, I cannot be described as a messenger, and that goes for all humans.

I agree partially. While I agree with the premise of your statement, even Shareef is a messenger when he DOES speak the truth, but when he comes out and says that he is the ONE AND ONLY MESSENGER, he is clearly misguided.

Peace be upon you Sister Majidah,

One question to you all is that how can anyone really reject a person as a messenger if that person claims that he has got advice from God?

I am not rejecting that, I am rejecting his statement that he is the ONE AND ONLY MESSENGER, as if it is a title, rather than a relative description. When you understand this DESCRIPTION, you will see that his claim is false. If it was true, then there is NO OTHER HUMAN IN THIS WORLD that can call another to the TRUTH, to correct behavior. SUrely you don't think SHareef, or any human is given that responsibility alone. NO. The God sends a SUCCESSION of messengers. We ALL have the POTENTIAL of being a messenger. The truth is that Shareef IS a messenger ONLY when TRUTHFUL STATEMENTS come from his mouth, and we can only know what is TRUE by VERIFICATION, by LIVING TRUTH ourselves.

We cannot say that he is wrong or right if we didn't have get the proofs of it inside us.

Yes, we must LIVE TRUTH to verify TRUTH, and that is certainly what I am doing. And the truth about the word "rasool" which means BOTH messenger AND message tells me clearly that his is not a TITLE, but a description, and it is achievable by ALL HUMANS who strive for it. Most parents are messengers to thier children, calling them to right conduct/behavior, but since we have been SCARED into believing that messengers are some superheroes from Jerusulem and Mecca, we are afraid to see the truth of a simple word. I am no longer afraid, fear is not the characteristic of the righteous.

All messengers from God has never been perfect they have always done something wrong and then learnt from it.

So I cannot understand why you think Br Shareef is so wrong!?

Yes, that is correct. And when messengers do wrong, they are not messengers AT THAT TIME. It is a relative description, do right and call to the correct behavior, you are a messenger, do the opposite and you are not a messenger. It is very simple equation thatis in line with the context of teh entire reading(quran), we reap ONLY whay we sow. There is no favoritism with the God, we are treated fairly.

I think people today are so selfish and jelous when someone stick out their nose and want to guide someone because they want to be in his clothes.I doubt that it is many who can witness a messenger from God today and it is due to their lack of humbleness.

I am sorry that your emotions are blinding you to this issue, and I am suprised at that based on our past discussions. I hope you will ponder on my sober view and continue to reflect on this issue.

                                          Respectfully.
