Archiving Forum

Salam everyone!
After a discussion about the low forum engagement, it has been decided that this forum will be archived, in favor of a subreddit.
This means that all topics and posts will remain, but you won't be able to make anything new.
The subreddit is: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monotheist_Muslims/
The forum will be archived within 1 month.
Salam

It's probably a decent idea but bear in mind many have issues posting on reddit.
As long as this forum remains readable/searchable that's fine.

Brother, does this mean the site is continuing and will remain accessible?
This is a gem for people searching for GOD and learning about GOD. s way.
Also a gem for anyone seeking the truth about religions and redemption.
Thanks to brother Layth and all moderators and participants since its arrival.
Hope it will continue to the next generations.
GOD bless you.
Peace. -

A major decline occurred after the forum was updated. If the update hadn't happened, it would be much more active than it is now.
-
With the forum update, links to discussions here—and thousands of posts—have gone to waste because the old links no longer work. Previously, links shared elsewhere allowed countless people to engage with the forum, at least as readers.
-
While sectarians and Christians are opening new forums every day (backed by financial power), the forums of Quran-alone Muslims are closing down and disappearing day by day.
-
Quran-alone Muslims are now posting on platforms with an ephemeral, "soap bubble" nature (YouTube, Reddit, Facebook...), which results in a lack of permanent written archives. This effectively means the internet is being left entirely to the sectarians and Christians.

The idea is to try and roll back the forum to the way it was so all the links and search engine work properly. We will use Reddit to help each other with discussions as that seems to be the current choice for those that want to discuss. I guess we can roll-back and keep it open (Dlovan would know best), but the Reddit would be a better way to move with the times.

Peace All.
Thanks brother Layth for your clarification.
While I agree this is a valuable site, I know GOD does everything.
Many human doors open and close through the generations, but with GOD is the master /origin/message. and GOD is very much aware of where we end up being united in the future.
GOD protects His message while everything else changes.
God erases whatever He wills, and fixes. With Him is the original Master Record.
يَمحُوا اللَّهُ ما يَشاءُ وَيُثبِتُ وَعِندَهُ أُمُّ الكِتٰبِ
So we rely on GOD Alone and in Him we put our trust.
GOD bless you All

@Fusion No. It was the upgrade of the site to another system which is cloud based that created the problem with the old forum (being an outdated code that is no longer being supported).
We have never had financial issues to keep hosting this site - God be praised!

Peace moderators and everyone,
I would have been more active on this forum if I hadn't been managing a major project dedicated to a cause, alongside my day-to-day career and life's practical responsibilities. For these reasons, the weeks and months ahead demand that I make the most of my limited spare time and focus on what truly matters. With so much at stake, this period will be defining and decisive. Langston Hughes once wisely said, "The only way to get a thing done is to start to do it, then keep on doing it, and finally you'll finish it."
Sometimes making tough decisions and major changes is necessary for the greater good and also for the benefit of the minority. With that in mind, keeping the forum isn't a black-and-white decision or a matter of either/or, but it demands careful thought and a nuanced, multifaceted approach. Reddit is the 10th most popular media platform by users in 2025 - with approximately 765 million online users. Even though Reddit is among the world's largest and most influential online forums, it has faced repeated controversies over free speech and censorship, including bans and quarantines, inconsistent rule enforcement, moderator tensions, platform disruptions, and ongoing challenges in balancing user autonomy, safety, and open expression.
Reddit offers us a huge audience, communities on almost any topic related to the Qur'an, built-in moderation, a reliable platform with apps and strong infrastructure, and generally better security and data protection. But we get less creative control, high competition, possible content removal, a less personal community, and more limited data privacy compared to a small, niche community like this forum.
This forum is not just a forum. It is a movement. It has changed and continues to change the course of history. Instead of closing it, archive the old forum so its entire history remains directly accessible through a new forum, which can then be launched with a bold, fresh and visually striking design that's easy to use and filled with engaging threads that brings the community together. To reach a wider audience, create social media pages on major platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, and link them directly on the new and redesigned forum. You can also provide optional links to WhatsApp or Telegram groups for more interactive communication on the new site. This approach gives us the best of both worlds, preserving our legacy while stepping confidently into a dynamic, fresh, and modern forum experience that moves with the times.

Let me add a bit more information to my earlier comment:
"For these reasons, the weeks and months ahead demand that I make the most of my limited spare time and focus on what truly matters. With so much at stake, this period will be defining and decisive. My impression is that zeroing in on one thing at a time sharpens work, steadies progress, and makes results far more impactful. To stay grounded and actually get things done during busy times, focusing on what matters most right now and giving it serious effort is crucial. Langston Hughes once wisely said, "The only way to get a thing done is to start to do it, then keep on doing it, and finally you'll finish it."

In short, I strongly recommend implementing the following approach, as it will guarantee exceptional results, secure the continued success of this movement, drive its transformative and paradigm-shifting evolution further than ever before, and elevate it to new levels and unprecedented heights.
Here are the key steps to implement:
- Create a new online forum with a modern, visually striking design that is clear, fast, mobile-friendly, easy to navigate, allows users to comment and like posts, and offers private messaging, project collaboration, and event organization.
- Archive the old forum so its entire history remains directly accessible through the new forum.
- Launch an official subreddit and quora space alongside the new forum where members can discuss, ask questions, and share findings about the quran to engage with and grow our community.
- Create social media pages on major platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, YouTube, and TikTok, and link them directly on the new and redesigned forum.
- To attract the largest possible audience and make the new forum truly unique, focus on keyword-rich content, active participation, strong technical SEO, a clear niche, an inclusive name (instead of "free-minds" consider calling it "god's guidance", "the guidance of God", "international monotheists", "free minds and seekers of the truth", "discover true islam", "one human family united by faith", and so on), a welcoming environment, exclusive and diverse content, innovative features, a united community, and a distinctive identity - offering more freedom of speech, diversity and mutual consultation than any other forum online while maintaining thoughtful moderation with appropriate firmness, with all forum policy and rules clearly guided by the laws and principles of the Qur'an.

@Layth Brother Layth, in the post of brother Dlovan and in your post, you indicated that you would close FM (within a month). There are only 14 days left now. Are you considering keeping the forum open until a new forum is created to ensure continuity? Or is your decision final regarding closing (archiving) the forum, in favor of a subreddit? In the spirit of mutual consultation (shura), as affirmed by verse 3:159 and 42:38 of the Quran, I would appreciate discussing this matter more before a final decision is reached.

Salam. We already launched in Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/Monotheist_Muslims/) but I'm not sure where we are on rolling the forum back as Dlovan is the man in charge. If we are able to successfully roll back the forum to the way it was, maybe we can then have a discussion on locking it or keeping it open along with reddit.

Just to share what Dlovan is saying because I missed some of the tech stuff, we cannot have the old forum function as it creates a conflict with the main site (the forum runs on a different code which is not compatible). So we can create and archive/library which is static - but not activate the forum again.
-
Salam Layth. So what you’re saying is that after the archive/library of this forum is complete, this forum will no longer function, and discussions will continue on Reddit until a new and better forum is created in the future? Provided I have understood you correctly, I fully support the proposed plan. I think this plan is for the greatest good of the monotheist movement and seekers of truth. In other words, I think this outlined course of action will give the greatest overall benefit for current members, new members, and our community.
3:103 And hold firmly to the rope of God, all of you, and do not be separated. And remember the blessing of God upon you when you were enemies and He united your hearts...
5:2 ...And help each other in piety and righteousness, and do not help each other in sin and aggression...
9:71 And the believing males and the believing females, they are allies to one another. They order good and prohibit vice, and they hold the contact prayer, and they contribute towards purification and they obey God and His messenger...
30:31-32 Turn to Him, and be aware of Him, and hold the contact prayer, and do not be of the polytheists. From those who have divided their system and become sects, each group is happy with what it has.
42:13 He has decreed for you the same system He ordained for Noah, and what We inspired to you, and what We ordained for Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: "You shall uphold this system, and do not divide in it.
49:10 The believers are brothers; so reconcile between your brothers, and be aware of God, that you may receive mercy.
61:4 God loves those who fight in His cause as one column; they are like bricks in a wall.
