    Peace all!

Some months ago, as well as more recently, I came across some books about Islam and the Qur'an that I think are significant. I haven't had the chance to read them thoroughly yet, but from what I've read about them so far, they offer profound insights and great value. I came across most of them some months ago, and a few of them more recently. I'd like to share their titles here on the forum, along with links to the PDF versions of the books or related articles about them, as I consider them to be important, beneficial, and helpful for readers and students of the Qur'an. I really can't recommend these books highly enough.

As I've mentioned in a past post on this forum, I always recommend checking PDFs before downloading them to ensure that they are safe. You can use VirusTotal, a free service that scans files and URLs with multiple antivirus engines to detect suspicious content.

You can scan URLs or files by visiting the following link.

        Peace all!

I just wanted to let you know that the OP has been updated, and the remaining books I wanted to add have now been included in the list. Around 90% of the books selected were chosen for their excellence, at least from my personal perspective. I've gone through multiple reviews, summaries, and comments on most of the books in the OP, and I've even skimmed through some of them myself. They were carefully selected based on their quality, significance, richness, and depth, and I spent a considerable amount of time to make sure that they met these standards.

In other words, I've handpicked and quality-checked them, so I'm fairly confident in their value. I consider them to be really good (top-notch). The remaining 10% of the books are ones I've had less exposure to, so I can't guarantee they're as good as the others. However, based on what I've read, they also seem promising.

My aim was to only share books by authors whose works and names hadn't already been posted in the forum. I haven't had the chance to read every post on this website's forum, so whether that aim was fully achieved or not might be up for debate. Nevertheless, I did my best to stick to that intention.

That's why I didn’t include books by authors like Muhammad Iqbal, Ghulam Parwez, Kassim Ahmad, Asma Barlas, Amina Wadud, Hanna E. Kassis, Fazlur Rahman, Mustansir Mir, Muhammad Shahrur, Muhammad Asad, Nasr Abu Zayd, Seyyed Nasr, Mohammed Abdul Malek, Kamal Salibi, Fadel al-Rubaie, John Burton, Edip Yuksel, Layth, and Ayman, among others, in the OP. I also left out classics like "History of Religious Ideas" by Mircea Eliade, "The Venture of Islam" by Marshall Hodgson, and "Muqaddimah" by Ibn Khaldun. All of these authors and works were excluded, as they've already been mentioned in past forum posts.

All the e-books (PDF versions) I've linked to in the OP have been checked with VirusTotal, except for one (the book available on Scribd.com). Still, I recommend re-checking them to be safe.

I think it's a good idea to download the books from the links while they're still available, as they could be removed at any time. Since these books are free, now is a great time to grab them.

In this post, I'd like to include a some more books that I consider to be really good.

A Culture of Ambiguity: An Alternative History of Islam by Thomas Bauer

          https://abbasidhistorypodcast.libsyn.com/ep055-faheem-hussain-on-thomas-bauers-a-culture-of-ambiguity-an-alternative-history-of-islam

Thomas Bauer's award-winning study of medieval Islam, A Culture of Ambiguity: An Alternative History of Islam, has recently made a splash in the Anglophone world with its recent translation into English. Like many of the "great books" in the Western Islamic Studies canon, the work aspires to nothing short of an exposition of the essential trait (or traits) characterizing Islam prior to the onset of European modernity. For Bauer, this is, unambiguously, the phenomenon of ambiguity. - Rushain Abbasi

I'd like to include one more book here. This book has been recommended in the forum in the past, but I don't remember if any member shared a link to download it. So, I thought I'd share the links here. The book consists of 6 volumes and can be downloaded for free via the following links.

There's one more book I'd like to recommend here. You can download the book from the following link.

The Quran: An Encyclopedia by Oliver Leaman

              https://www.lightforcenetwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/The-Quran-An-Encyclopedia-2006-Oliver-Leaman.pdf

Like I mentioned earlier, all the e-books (PDF versions) linked in this thread (including the latest one in this post) have been checked with VirusTotal, except for the book on Scribd.com. Still, I recommend re-checking them yourself to be safe.

It's also a good idea to download the books while the links are still available, since they could be removed at any time.
