The distribution of the blame
-
Peace,
when I started approaching Islam and I came to know the controversial points of beating of wives, stonning, poligamy, sex with slaves, age of Aisha, cutting of hands and killing of apostates, brother Wakas and brother Ash Shura drew my attention (thank you both) to this site and to the fact that those points were not true Islam as they were not in the quran but in hadiths of Bukhari and Co, that those writtings shouldn't be followed or used as source of law as they were false. Thus, the first blame was put of the authors of those hadiths.
After reading here for some time I realised that the second blame was on the innaccurate interpretations and translations of the quran. This includes both Arabic and non-Arabic native speakers as I observed along the discussions.
Lately, the blame, the third, is being imposed on the biblical origins of the hadiths of Bukhari and co., means, on the Jews and Christians, not only by the Saim Bakar's article posted by Ali Imran but also it is being said in other topics by other users.
Bukhari, subjective translations, and Jews and Christians as guilty ones make me go back to the quran and wonder if all of these explanations have been tries, honest tries of course, to turn, to accept, what seems unacceptable. For instance, there are similarities between the bible and the quran, not only between the bible and the hadits and I don't think Saim Bakar will beleive that Quran is a bad or an uncorrect application of the Bible (I don't have this very clear, don't take me literally)
My query is not about God, Ethics or the ultimate truth that I am trying to study with more tools, not only quran, but about islam and quran especifically, it is a worry about if it could be possible that one or more of those controversial points really are in the quran.

Salaam Elena,
Thanks for asking this very important question. I think that the other question you want to ask
Was Bukhari as bad as what I read? Was there a conspiracy theory made by the Arabs and persians? Or, did some people in the Qur'an Alone movement exagerate to prove their points?
The truth is probably somewhere in between.

Hello Elena,
You wrote

If that is so then why look for controversy in scriptrue? If you look for them then you will bound to find them. Perhaps a better approach would be to accept scripture as A TRUTH not the ABSOLUTE truth?
Regards,

Peace Hussein, Lote Tree,
why look for controversy in scriptrue? If you look for them then you will bound to find them.
I am not aware I was looking for controversy. I bought a Spanish translation. I was reading. I came across the difficult points, I didn't know anything about them before.
The reason of reading it was to know how was the source of that religion whose members believed so deeply. -
Peace be upon you Lote Tree,

The God tells us to study all readings to see if there are contradictions or not, so that we may ascertain if we are getting a true message or false one. We CANNOT accept ANY STATEMENTS blindly. In regards to this reading(quran) we have to seek verifyable proof of the statements before we can say it is from the God, most people do not do that.
