I can understand stock speculators but real estate? There are lots of people who buy property for good reasons, like occupying them or leasing them to tenants.

It is not forbidden, but it is said that this is not a good way to distribute values in a community.
Khi- GOD says 'faajtabuhu' which means 'to abstain' n this is a command from GOD n is thus clearly forbidden. U can use different words n phrases 2 forgive something. Unfortunately some ppl deparately look 4 the magical word 'haraam' in the Quran 4 something 2 be forbidden. If this is so then how abt cheating n robbing. Those have not been declared 'haraam' in Quran. Yet r they foprbidden or not? GOD Bless!

In my vocabulary it means someone is forcefully acquiring something that is not rightfully his/hers. Or, in short ?stealing?, or ?theft?.
Since the Qur?an mentions a certain punishment (under the law) for this, it must mean that it is not in accordance with the law, or simply unlawful?Regds

my point is that both are froms of gambling.
What we are doing by shunnin both intoxicants and games is putting words into the mouth of God.
Fact is they are not illegal. We are advised by the lord to stay away from them but they are not illegal.
For people to come here and start claiming that they are illegal/ a sin is ridiculous!!!!
You shall not approach salat under the influence of intoxicants.
This verse CLEARLY points out that intoxicants are not illegal. For if they were it would be contradictory, to the spirit of the Quran, as the Quran describes a "perfect" muslim but in this instance there is a chance that that "perfect" muslim is able to be intoxicated.

Khi- Salam. In case of robbing u r right. In case of theft n cheating theres no direct force on the ppl. Another example is adultery. GOD Bless!

But quite CLEARLY there is no mention that you will be intoxicated by 'accident'.
You need to rethink this topic as what you are pointing at is bordering on ridiculous (no offence intended but I call it as I see it).
The major problem with trying to revolutionise the Islamic world is that people find it to hard to let go of their rituals.
Not in one instance is it mentioned that intoxicants are banned.
Theft, adultery, killing, proclaiming partners with God all banned, and all clearly explained to be banned.

Khi- Salam. Whether it is mentioned or not does not make any differece. It is obvious tht this can happen. GOD clearly says tht al-kamr n al-maiser r satan's handiwork 'FAAJTNIBUHU(abstain from tht)'. Thus this nis a command.

Brother Joe posted a great post on this topic, a long time ago, how a lot of things can be intoxicating and so this verse wasn't merely directed at alcohol.
As an example, some people are very passionate about following football. They are literally intoxicated with their support for their club. Such intoxication has resulted in riots, stabbings, DEATHS!!!!!!!
so now, are we to ban football from this world as well??? Because it can be intoxicating.

It doest stop with a 5$. 2day it's past time. 2morrow ur whole family, if u have one, might be in trouble. There has been a lot of reaearch done on the addiction of such games of chance. Dear idmkhizar,
Theft and cheating make somebody loose their belongings, which is their rightful payment for work to enhance the wealth of the community.
They have to regain this by doing additional work. This additional work is then not for themselves but actually for the people who stole from them, or cheated them.Therefore, this definitely affects the people DIRECTLY.
In a different manner, agreed, but end result, same?.same?.Regds
