And throw down thy staff! But when he saw it
writhing as it were a demon, he turned to flee
headlong; (but it was said unto him) O Moses!
Fear not! Lo! the emissaries fear not in My
    presence.

Exactly. For those who are saying that the staff became a serpent..in this ayat the staff moved AS IF IT WERE a serpent..like the movement of a Jinn..so it could be seen to equate Jinn with Serpents/Reptiles..

Hi everyone, I used to frequent this site/forum alot, and now I am back..

I especially want to mention something about the david icke research, and his latest book "infinite oneness is the ONLY reality, 'everything' else is illusion" in which he basically outlines the true nature of reality, and we are living in a 'matrix' type world.. so in a way the Jinn, are the 'Agents' of this matrix, they have no true 'consciousness' .. further to this it is actually us, which believe in this matrix, that create them out of 'fear', and fear is the energy that the matrix uses to power itself..

Who and what we truly are can be explained in the analogies below

      1. The drop of water/ocean
Imagine God as the ocean, and image we are but drops of water from that ocean, when we are evaporated, and become rain, and fall back into the ocean, where does the ocean end/start? and the drop end/start?
Answer we are all ONE, we are All God, because everything that makes us human or individual is an illusion, our bodies are an illusion, the 'soul' is an illusion, our minds are an illusion, take away all that illusion and what do you have left? pure consciousness, ie God

      2. The dream
We have dreams every night, that seem 'real' while they are occurring in our experience, yet we wake up, and realise 'that was just a dream', well whats the difference between dreaming and this reality? this reality is just a longer dream..
The dreamer is us/our minds, we create this whole world or universe, which we interact with other characters, we create situations in our dream
Now there we are the dreamer, yet these characters are also in ourmind, are also being controlled by the dreamer.. so we in this 3d Matrix that we 'believe' to be real, are characters in Gods dream, we are in his 'mind', and again we are mere illusions, as our dreams are once we wake up..

it says in the Quran, Allah is the ONLY reality

Would like your comments/ thoughts about this

      In oneness

Ya that's nothing new. Ibn Al-Arabi discusses this..RUmi and most Sufis too as well.

It's not for no reason that Allah says in the Quran
And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. (Qaf 5016)

        Or that
The Day when the Trumpet will be blown (the second blowing) that Day, We shall gather the Mujrim?n Zurqa. In whispers will they speak to each other "You stayed not longer than ten days". We know very well what they will say, when the best among them in knowledge and wisdom will say "You stayed no longer than a day!" (Ta-Ha 20102-104)

You should look into "The Self-Discolosure of God - Principles of Ibn Al-Arabi's Cosmology" or "Ibn Al-Arabis Metaphysics of Imagination - The Sufi Path of Knowledge".

Even documentaries and books on HarunYahya.com allude constantly to this reality being an illusion, a dream from which we will wake up. And that it is all happening within our minds. So if the external world is all in our minds and there is no reality to it other than what the senses tell us, than the mind is the only thing that perceives. And what is mind other than the expression of the soul?

BUT, you shouldn't mistake all this for Wihdat Al-Wujud, or the Oneness of everything. Indeed God is One, and everything in essence is one. But it doesn't mean that WE are GOD, and that GOD is everything. Since God several times says that He is incomparable and nothing can be associated with Him.

As this reality is a matrix illusion, so is the afterlife, as there are people now who are able to communicate with that other level of the matrix, there are heavens and there are hells all as real as this illusion, but they are created by the beliefs of those dwelling within them... if we take away our illusions, ie our minds, our thoughts, our bodies, what are we left with? pure consciousness or Oneness.. Why should God be 'up there' and us down here? we can have as much control of this world as God does, simply by thinking the right thoughts.. we are infinite oneness in out true essence, when all illusion is removed... also the fact that our thoughts create our reality..
A good book to read is "power of now" by Eckhart Tolle, when we remove our thoughts, all that remains is pure awareness, pure consciousness or God

Remember if we are not our bodies, we are not our minds, we are not our thoughts, we are not our personalities, then what are we? whats left? what is the ONLY reality?

          Allah (God)

If we are not our minds, nor our bodies, nor anything else, we are non-beings. We are non-created. we are pure potential for creation in God's Mind..if we can call it that.

The Sufis explain it as that everything that is in creation right now, was non-creation before it, and God decided to make it reality on one or several levels of reality. Heaven Hell Earth are just different dimensions of reality, the life of this world "7ayat al dunya" is literraly, the "lowest life" or the "lowest reality".

Mystics describe a cosmic consciousness, where they become part of a greater consciousness and are aware of a "everything", doesnt necessarily mean that they tapped directly into God's Mind and melted into it. It could simply mean that since God says that evertything in Creation has consciousness and is aware, and thus glorifies Him, then that cosmic consciousness is just that, the sum of all Creation..the Oneness of Creation....CREATION.....the CREATOR is wholly seperate/different from His Creation. But of course, since HE is Infinite and boundless, it is not logical to say that He is "up there", that would be non sense anyway.

So Creation doesn't occupy a space "outside" of God since He is infinite anyway, but think of God as the CPU/RAM/HD of your computer, and we are the software that is running on it. Sprites. no more no less. Doesn't mean we are the same as the hardware itself, but the hardware allows the existence and execution of the programs.

First of all, welcome to the forum welcome

Second, very intersting point of view about this life being a dream. I have to say, i agree.

Ok, we arent 'real', so I guess 'we' cant be God if we are not real, but we do have only one real aspect to us, and that is consciousness, and why should that consciousness be apart/seperate to God? afterall God says he is closer to us than our jugular vein, cant that mean that he is 'consiousness', as the creation i guess is this illusion...

There is a hindu story, about how this matrix/illusion came into being..

Imagine God as a river, and for some reason or other, a whirlpool developed within that river, and then that whirlpool forgot it was part of the river, and it found its own energy - fear to keep going around and around and around.. ie the matrix.. and anything that is built on fear energy cannot be part of true consciousness/God.. and religion is built on fear/seperateness, hierarchy.. The way it is described is as 'stillness', everything in creation is in vibration(duality) yet God is not.. and when we are able to be that 'stillness' we reconnect with our Godness/consciousness
So I can agree with your analogy that we are the software running on the PC, but then again that software doesnt really exist.. only God exists..
In truth i dont think this can be explained in words, only 'known'
But the knower and the known, can merge into one
The creator and the creation also
The poet and the poem, etc, etc

If you wish. But then what stops one from worshipping the poem for its beauty, since he never sees the poet? It becomes too dangerous to think in those terms cuz ppl then easily fall into shirk

                    Peace all,

about life being a dream, an illusion. Yes, there is something about that - and it's written in quran. Sometimes i have dreams (while sleeping) and the follow me like a reality all day through. The only difference is that i don't seem to have physical reality during dreams, may be just because the body stays in bed wink

The thing is we dont need to worship the poet or the poem, God doesnt need us to worship him, granted Islam is the best system for existiing in this 3d reality, though once you go beyond that, and into oneness, there is only oneness, no seperation, no duality, no vibration.... All is...ie, no form, only essence,
