    Peace Ayman, all,

I enjoyed your article about The Trust. You made a nice work )

    I have some comments

...the fact that we can?t detect or see the hidden side of the universe may explain why we don?t remember accepting the trust.

In fact, the ?hidden? side of the universe provides access to information that may enable other creatures to make choices that are in line with The GOD?s natural system.

Other creatures live in line with the God's system because except human , they refused to bear "al-amana"

The God entrusts us our soul and the lieutenancy on Earth.
When one choose to fulfill "al-amana", one can lives in harmony with the God's system.

Our eyes, ears, brain, children, wife, husband, family, community, environment, have been entrusted to us, they are "amana" upon us.
We have the choise to safeguard/respect/fulfill this great amana or to betray it.

    1. O you who believe, do not betray God and the messenger, nor betray your trust, while you know.
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo latakhoonoo Allaha waalrrasoola watakhoonoo amanatikum waantum taAAlamoona

    2. And those who safeguard what they have been entrusted and their pledges.
      Waallatheena hum li-amanatihim waAAahdihim raAAoona

The mission/amana of the God's messenger is to deliver the divine message.

The adjectif "ameen/trustworthy" and amana/trust are closely linked

    1. ?I am to you a trustworthy messenger.?
      Innee lakum rasoolun ameenun

    2. And this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.
      Wa-innahu latanzeelu rabbi alAAalameena

    3. It was sent down with the trusted Spirit.
      Nazala bihi alrroohu al-ameenu

The "amana"/trust of the trusted Spirit is to sent down what has been entrusted to him (the Revelation) upon the heart of the God's messenger. This is Why the God qualified him as the trusted Spirit because He deliver/return the "amana"/trust which is the Revelation from the God to His messenger without any alteration or modification.
The God messenger are qualified in the same manner as trustworthy messengers because they deliver the divine message without alteration or modification.
It is is upon us to deliver the message...and we have to be truthfull in our trusts...

    Peace

      Peace sister Marie,

It is good to hear from you and thank you for your comments.

Other creatures live in line with the God's system because except human , they refused to bear "al-amana"

Yes. Hence, they can't have trust/faith/"iman" what do they do instead?

Before you answer, let me say that I generally agree with everything you said. It has been a while since this article was written. I can see that it probably needs to be revisited and updated because our understanding has evolved since then.

      Peace and all best wishes,

      Ayman

Yes. Hence, they can't have trust/faith/"iman" what do they do instead?

1315 can illustrate the difference between the human and the other creatures. The human has the choice to bow/submit/live in line with the God's system or not. But the other creatures do it willingly or unwillingly. They refuse to accept/bear the trust of compliance like the human because they were fearful to betray it, then they choose to live in line with the God's system.

        Peace

I posted a thread a while back about Plato's 'Phaedo' which made me think of alot of concepts in Islam, especially the 'Trust' and how we dont remember it. The basic jist of the Phaedo that I got the impression of, was that when humans learn knowledge, they're actually remembering it back.

Here's the thread with a link to an online version of the Phaedo.

Good article by the way Ayman, I enjoy alot of your work.
