Salaams,
Mahram (singular) is an adjective to describe a man who is Haram on him to marry a certain woman in his life i.e. his mother, his sister, his grandmother, his daughter, his neice, his daughter-in-law, his aunt, etc. So he is a mahram to all those women in his life.
So to me (I am a woman) my father is one of my mahaarim (plural), and so are my brothers and uncles and nephews and sons-in-laws, etc..
Take a look at Ayah . It tells which women are forbidden for the man to marry.
