Recently, iv had the curiosity to learn more about religion. Particularly islam, as this is the religion of my household. I don't no if i can say that about myself though at the moment, beacuse there are many aspects of the religion that i do not know about. However, i hope discussing issues and asking questions would help. So, my first question is

According to islam, what do we know about the here after?

I believe it is basically a starting point for further progression for the progressors and the visionaries and maybe stagnation for those in opposition to what is truth.

An interesting finding I came across recently is that the hereafter is often accompanied by description of The God's sustenance to us in this life, e.g. how crops are drawn forth from the land, how the rain revitalises the earth etc. I believe this is used as a correlate / analogy / metaphor to direct us to the continuation of this in the hereafter.
