    Salaams all,

Another method of investigating where is the House of Allah, residence, abode, household or how ever one may put it.

We can look to the attributes of Allah now where do we find all the attributes in action in this world

    http//www.free-minds.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3218&highlight=technology

Could it be in our everyday DEALINGS with others ? if so wouldn?t this be the Bait to which Allah refers to when he says Cleanse My house?

Or can anybody think of something else where we may find Allah?s attributes in action ? see the list and decide ? you may be helping all/many of us.

Please I hope all who read spare a few minutes if they are able to.

    God Bless.

      Salaamun Alaikum,
Dear brothers and sisters in Islam,

And (all) the Most Beautiful Attributes belong to Allah, so go to him by way of them Allah's are the Excellent Attributes. (7 180)

Brother MZ, I cannot see the accuracy in the above traslation. It should be as follows

      " "

"And to Allah belong the beautiful names, so call Him by them; and ignore those who blaspheme in His names. They will be punished for what they used to do." 7180

      Name
1- A word or words by which an entity is designated and distinguished from others.
2- A word or group of words used to describe or evaluate, often disparagingly.

      Attribute
1- To relate to a particular cause or source; ascribe attributed their failure to a lack of preparation.
2- A quality or characteristic inherent in or ascribed to someone or something.

I don't find any thing in AlQuraan saying about attributes.

      And do not forget

      " "

"The Lord of the heavens and the Earth and what is in-between them. So serve Him and be patient in His service. Do you know any names like Him?" 1965

May Allah guide us all towards the correct path.

      Regards,

      MMKhan

        Peace be upon you,

The God is ONE. To "name" something is to DEFINE it as a seperate part from another thing. The God is above being named, the God only gives us Attributes with which to try to understand the nature of our true Selves (the ruh that is blown into matter making us alive) so we can purify our nafs and let these attributes of the God within manifest, that is "on earth as it is in heaven".

          Salaams idol ,

although i have to say we may not agree on some major matters - but regarding this ,I can say it whole heartedly i agree.

Somebody said" Through the law of similerity of form we connect to and become what we become LIKE."So we must awaken the attributes in our selves and in our actions to be like.......................

          God Bless all.

            Salaams Khan sahib,
you did not spend a little of your precious time for the quistion of this post , but to put you to the test "why do you need to call the lord when he can read your thoughts and knows your intentions and what you are thinking of doing.

            you said
""And to Allah belong the beautiful names, so call Him by them; and ignore those who blaspheme in His names. They will be punished for what they used to do." 7180 "

this is wrong as it should say "strive " - i think rather then "call" check out quranic dictionary and lanes , if you want to to clear

            Salaams.

As per your instructions I have spend a little of my time and found this

"O Zachariah, We give you glad tidings of a son whose name is Yahya. We have not given that name before to anyone" 197

What is the attribute of Yahya..? Always alive?

                Regards,

                MMKhan

                  Salaams Br.

The word doesn't always mean a length of life ,it does mean bringing about the attributes of Allah in people making them alive.

                  qd removing prudency,modesty and shamefulness.

So Yahya can mean someone who brings about the goodness in others whilst removing the shameful acts - thus giving life to Allah's attributes in them.

                  I think.

                  Gods Blessings.

                    Wa Alaikum Salaam brother,

If so, then every name must be based on its attibutes. Then how about the names of other Prophet's names?

I was just trying to find the meaning of thier names. And I found Moosa means "River". I don't know how are I am right. And Mohammed means "Praised one". Who praises him? And why River is called? What means Esa? and Loot? and others? Just curious.

                    Regards,

                    MMKhan

                      Salaams Br.

I think you may be right.

But i do think Muhammad doesn't mean the praised ,it actually means the one who praises, and or something to this extent.

If you have a dictionary you can compare the use of "Mu" with words.

Good to do your type of research , I am sure you will open many new doors.

                      God Bless.

maybe our excellent model Abraham left his house to his dearest of friends? the friend who helped in while in the furnance?
maybe he instructed his sons to as well?

if your bet bird makes you a nest and another bird took it would you really be so angry as to climb a tree to the highest hieght to re claim it? or consider the new bird just a reciever of mercy from ALLAH?
