And why is Noah told to gather together in pairs-a male and a female, is this animals or people?
If people why in pairs how about the single but righteous people??? Why they are not included??
If they are animals how could he have gathered them all? On camel back, may be the jinn have brought them? Hardly likely, is it?
And so it is bound to be people.
But why in two?s, Marriage, most likely as that is the only case you get together a male and a female ? to form a nice humane society, Godly.

So it is most likely Noah is the person who was given the licence of marriages???.and Fulak is an affair/dealings of Marriages but the kuffar who don?t like to be married and have responsibilities where overcome as they will always be as they don?t want /like/have children and are overcome/annihilated/exterminated-by natural laws and not necessarily drowned.But God Knows Best.

Everything in this creation is based on dualities, the God creates in PAIRS.
Noah is demonstrating how to build a solid foundation of knowlegde with which to save yourself and your family from the Flood of instability/lawlessness. You must be able to see both sides of the argument(99 and 1 sheep), therefore you can then establish the balance where the two become one.

I think Noah's story like all stories in scripture are never a factual accounts of the events. These are "Parables", a fictionalised story to convey a deeper spiritual truth which can't be conveyed by a mere discursive language.

Well, Nuh's story could've been factual, but not as traditionalists and Christians believe it. There are no literal indication that Nuh took every land animal species, and take my word, it's a logistical impossibility. My interpretation is that Nuh took his family, his followers, and pairs of livestock so that they can continue their herding economy after the flood ended. Oh, and the flood was local.

TnEThe "flood story" occurs in many cultures. This flooding story may have arisen from the melting of ice sheets from the last ice age in Earth History. So this flood story may have become an "archetype" in the human collective memory. But whatever the case, Parables have always been in rooted in some event that may or many not have happened in the past which have been used to convey a deep spiritual truth like the Buddhas Parable of the Mustard Seed or the Jesus's Parable of the "Good Samaritan". Buddha may not have sent an women to find a mustard seed from a household which has not witnessed a death nor the Good Smaritan event took place.
The danger is that if you take Biblical and Koranic stories literally they sound bizzare and banal and you miss out on the spiritual messages of these stories which affects our soul...

Khi- Salam. Well i always took all of the Quranic passages as literal except ehen it is stated that the following is an allegory and to tell you the truth i found nothing bizarre or banal about any of them. As for the Bible yes there you are right. It focuses more on the names of people, wealth, harlots, giving God man like motions and emotions, pornographic elements, widespread contradictions and many other absurdities. You cant hear the message of GOD Alone while reading the Bible which you do at every instant in Quran. GOD Bless!
