Dr. Mohammed Shahroor from Syria to Progressive Muslims is like Hassan Al-Banna from Egypt to Moslem Brotherhood or Sayyid Qutb to Al-Qaeda. Their ideas is revolutionary yet very practical to change the shape of this world.

Those three have one thing in common. They recieve oppression and their books was banned by some Arab rulers. But, they and millions of their inspired followers are the shaker and mover of this world.

The difference between Sayyid Quthb/Hasan al-Banna with Muhammad Syahrur is that the Ikhwan ideologues had a larger and more political follower base. It remains to be seen whether they will succeed in the long run, but one thing is certain, the Ikhwanists are working towards that goal.

Progressive Muslims has representatives in many countries and political parties, as well as grass root. They are as strong as Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda in terms of political power, finance and follower.
