    Salaam Br Lote Tree,

Well I think we can have a men/women board and there we can talk more about issues like what to dress and beuty and exercises and other stuff of more easy subjects.

There are still muslim women who have no idea if hijjab is a custom from God or human and so on.

    Peace
    Sis Majidah

But do we need to create divisions "Men/Women"?
Are we not all individuals, despite our biology?

      Regards,

That's a typical male answer roll

I am pushing to discuss the differences that are, in part, caused by biology.

Come now Salikah - how is that a male answer? It is an Individual answser. Typical Male would have indeed thrived on Gender differences and segregage you using hijabs.

I am pushing to discuss the differences that are, in part, caused by biology.

These may be superficial. Gender is a biological construct. It is said our souls are genderless. We can go beyond gender and yet still accept the biology of gender.

But if want to create a separate section for women please don't let me stop you. But I think emphasing the differences between the sexes the more divisive you make of male and female.

        Regards,

          Peace salikahDC,

there was a ?Women Issues? section in this forum long time ago but it desappeared. You can read here who was the guilty one...
          http//www.free-minds.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1160

Appart form that, I always wanted to make another comment about the home page, let me insert here at the top it is announced

          What?s New - Quran ? Articles - Books - Women ? Members ? Forum - Links

Imagine the top of the page would be like this

          What?s New - Quran ? Articles - Books - Men ? Members ? Forum - Links

Would it look strange, wouldn?t it?

I think the articles included in "Women" could be in te same "Articles" section and no in a separate section.

            Salaam all,

Oh so we are allowed to post women issues in the parenting and children section!?

Ok, then I will not propose on a special woman section.

            Peace
            Sis Majidah

              Peace Elena,

I'm sorry, but I disagree with you. I had the opportunity to view the thread that you posted and am actually disturbed that "family issues" was immediately equated to "women's issues". Women have issues with being a WOMAN-both biologically, physically, and socially- that are separate from men and family as well as inclusive of men and family. For men, the same rule applies. To think that women's issues are merely issues of family is chauvinistic and prejudiced.

Men and women are equal but we are NOT the same and, as a community, have different experiences, challenges, and needs while we are living on this earth, in the physical form called human. In many societies, women do not have a voice. Not because they are minority in number, but because they are subjugated by male bias and sentiment . ( for example, it is male bias that propels American insurance companies to cover viagara and NOT birth control). Ignoring sexual differences as well as the REALISTIC challenges the sexes (regardless of orientation) face in societies worldwide does not make anything equal; it silences discussion, truth, and change.

I thought it was not equating but replacing one section by another one. A new section where evryone, men or women would discuss about parenting and children.

Anyway, any option you decide will be fine with me handshake

                  peace SDC,

                  I understand your point.

But its a delicate balance between keeping the forum streamlined and covering as many categories as possible.

If you do not wish to post it in the 'general issues' section, make a suggestion directly to Layth.

                    Peace SalikahDC,

Everything is an illusion, remember? No need to get serious about men and women. Just relax, take it easy. Nothing is reality but all illusion. God's illusion. Trust God and relax. You don't have to condemn certain men for being prejudiced. That's all illusion after all.

And yes, everything is an illusion.

I will not explain further in this thread.

                        Peace.
