***ASTRAL PROJECTION***
-
Salam Jaxal!
I have tried recently for Astral Projecting out of my body but it takes time but I am practicing and getting there inshallah it will come. Your lucky you had a Lucid Dream. When you know your dreaming try to astral project(leave your body) and you will enter an astral world but I don't think you got to that stage as you said you were confined to your house.
I hope I get a lucid dream(lucid dream is where you know your dreaming) as its the easiest way to astral project as your body is asleep but your mind becomes aware/conscious.
Anyone else like to share any experiences they've had with astral projecting/out of body experiences???
PEACE

I have tried several times. Actually i experience it a lot, where my mind wakes up when I'm sleeping. I cannot move my body, but i can see the whole room I'm in. The first couple of times I got really scared and fought it violently. Woke up like after a bad dream sweaty and in a state of panic. But the next time it happened I deciced to go with the flow, and I have no specific way of leaving the body, I just do it. With this technique i have not exprienced anything as profound as jaxal, and have not been outside my area. But I belive it is a matter of practice.
During non focus meditation I often get the same sensation of my mind being awake without all the normal chatter in the cranium, but my body being shut down and unawares.
By using druidism however I have had some really incredible experiences on the astral plane and "seen" stuff that can be hard to explain. You know the saying "you had to be there" wich is very much the case here.
No wonder that people often didnt understand a word the prophets was saying when they had their astral projections (like Mohammads out of body experience) and tried to tell people what was on the other side. They had to boil something profound down to something tangible, that someone who "wasnt there" would understand. But where do you start?
You want to describe the color red to someone who is blind. How do you do that?
That the prophet's managed as well as they did, does say something about the caliber of spirits these people where.I will continue to use druidism ,but I am venturing more and more into the fields of dream provoked OOBE as you guy's and eventually I hope that I can make a full shift to these safer way's. Becasue using poison to obtain it is a dangerous business, wich is why I always reccomend that people do not do it.
That said. I have been the dreamguide of a few people who asked me, and without any doubt's wanted to try the spiritual cleansing of e.g ayahuaska. Ayahuaska cleans out the body and the soul at the same time., Most people come down from it looking like the elephant man because the body is litteraly oozing with garbage the body dispose of. This state is usually gone within a day or 2. And if you repeat it shortly after, this will not happen as there simply arent any more trash the body can rid itself of. The soul when you come down is in total peace for hours, even days after. The ego is killed, this mean that the chatter in the cranium is virtually non existant. But I have guided people to experience themself from the inside. Something that is a horrible shock to most. We are not who we think we are. In fact, we are anything but what we view ourself as being. The indians called it the rope (that 2pac is talking about)or the mirror of the soul, or in their language Jaj? (pronounced hyajee) )
Sorry a bit off topic this last bit, but that is another way of astral projection. Be with a knowing guide if you chose to do so, so you wont get hurt physically or mentally. NEVER EVER!!! Do it by yourself without years experience as a druid/shamaan.
Thanks for the links, and you'r experiences. Keep them comming ). Now i have some reading to do on something that i love. Jazak Allahu kheiun

I cannot move my body, but i can see the whole room I'm in.
What you had is called a Sleep Paralysis. It is the onset of Lucid Dreaming. It is also normal for you to hear voices or see images. That is called The Old Haggard Syndrom. I havent experianced either of them. But i would love to.

One piece of advice naxus, dont expect anything to happen the first night. And becoz of that, dont give up. And dont sleep for atleast 20 hours. This is not neccessary, but most people got bored and gave up. Becoz sleep is a crucial part of this, it will be to ur advantage if ur body is trying very hard to sleep, while u stay awake. But be sure of one thing. When this DOES happen, the first night, you will be frightened loooooool.. and that is normal. Just allow ur body to get used to it )
Jaxal,
Your experiences judging from the way it was achieved was nothing more than a 'hypnagogic hallucination' - these are often terrifying dream states occuring surrounding the onset of sleep...
"Hypnagogic hallucination are episodes of seeing and hearing things as one is falling asleep. These dreams can be frightening and can often cause a sudden jerk and arousal just before sleep onset. For example, you may see yourself falling and awaken with a sudden jerk, just before impact. As the subject drifts off to sleep, he/she moves into a state that combines the environment, of which the subject is still partially aware, with a dream-like state of sleep, in which he might see people and hear them talking. The experiences are often frightening. Sleep deprivation, irregular sleep schedules, and medications all can predispose to occurrences of this phenomenon."
Drugs like the opiates make these much more common.

SaLaM truth
No brother it was just a lucid dream. Nothing else.
If you are inducing them with sleep deprivation as you state then they are almost certainly hypnagogic hallucinations; the sleep deprivation and frightening quality is what makes it most likely.
Read the description above carefully. A doctor would diagnose your experience as a hypnagogic hallucination - not lucid dreaming.

Have you had a lucid dream?
Jaxal I think you're missing the point.
So called lucid dreaming occurs in REM sleep - and this type of sleep occurs most frequently in the last hours of normal sleep.
It does not in any way involve sleep deprivation which is what induces the (frightening) hypnagogic phenomena.
My understanding is that you are using sleep deprivation from what you have written and you are having hypnagogic hallucinations (since you stress the frightening aspect and sleep deprivation tecnique used to induce it).
"Prolonged sleep deprivation results in severe mental disturbance, attention deficit, withdrawing, visual complaints, hallucinations and time distortion. After 5 days you may even end up in a mental institution."
-
Lucid dream - A dream where you become aware that you are dreaming. It is as simple as that. And it is not neccessary to deprive yourself of sleep. I have just found it to be hepful for myself. There havebeen days where i had a normal sleep cycle and still had a lucid dream. Have you had a lucid dream?
"Prolonged sleep deprivation results in severe mental disturbance, attention deficit, withdrawing, visual complaints, hallucinations and time distortion. After 5 days you may even end up in a mental institution."
If that is the case, i should have been in a mental institution a loooooong time ago.

Im not missing the point at all. Infact, becoz i have been experiancing lucid dreaming, i KNOW what it is. Have either of you experianced it? Sure, if i had it once, then yea maybe truth is right. But i have had many experiances. Infact, i am at a point where i can induce lucid dreaming at will. So you cant really tell me that what im experiancing is some hypnagogic hallucination. There is a difference between HH and LD. Those who have experianced it know it well. Also, im usualy haveing a normal dream before i get lucid. Also, i dont always stay up for 20 hours before i go to sleep. Only few times have i done that. Like now, i will be sleeping after being up for nearly 21 hours. You guys should experiance it before you tell me im missing the point wink

Peace be upon you,
I have experienced Lucid Dreaming on several occasions. Some were sexual related, the others I realized I was dreaming as I was falling foward trying to fly, I took control and directed where I was flying.
It is stated tha the best time to experience this is during the Summer Solstice and that we should OVER SLEEP and FAST in order to reach this state. UNDERsleeping is also a way, but why undersleep when you can oversleep
