54:17(GOD is inviting us to memorize the Quran)

Salam,
We made the Quran easy to remember(li-Dhikirri). Does any of you wish to learn?
This verse and three similar ones in the same sura indicate clearly that GOD made the Quran easy for anyone of us to memorize it as compared to any other revelaed book and ofcourse all ordinary human books. And it is true. Millions of people in the world today know the Quran by heart word for word. There's not a single known book, religious or non-religious, in the world other than the Quran which has been memorized completely word for word in its original language, neither are the translations memorized word for word. Thus this is indeed a unique feature in the Quran which allows us to memorize It and we should appreciate it. Since GOD is calling us to memorize It i volunteered and am trying to memorize the Quran from now on by GOD's Will. GOD Bless! -

I understand this differently.
Briefly, the dhikr of the reading is keeping in mind God?s guidance. He has made the guidance easy to remember. He has taught mankind by the pen. This is not memorization, which is a different concept. The word for word memorization does not result in guidance. Understanding the guidance in the reading and keeping it in mind produces the benefits for mankind.

The reading is referred to as a book, written. I don't find any references indicating that it should be memorized. God has made His system easy to remember. God has revealed that He will preserve the message, who could lose what He preserves?
Do you believe the copy you have in your hands was produced because someone memorized it or because someone wrote it down? Say, the honorable scribes in 8015?
When someone claims to have memorized something, it is verified by a written text, not vice versa.

Khi- Salam. Yes but GOD would use a natural method for preservation of Quran dont you think? GOD could have also provided us with light without the sun, directly but that wont be natural would it? Moreover aint you the one who seeks more natural explanations of each and everything GOD did ? You freeminders are mostly the one who try to even explain away the miracles in the Quran given to the Prophets and Messengers by natural means and here you make a statement like 'Sure GOD could do anything?'. Sounds contradictory? Ofcourse GOD can do everything but He has His means and im more for a natural rather than a supernatural explanation regarding the preservation of the Quran.

Khi- I never denied that the Quran aint also a written text. Rather i saw or noticed one freeminder denying this. But the Quran is not merely written text or ink on paper. Ultimately the Quran is what's inside the hearts of those who possess knowledge
In fact, these are clear revelations in the chests of those who possess knowledge. Only the wicked will disregard our revelations.
It is not naturally logically consistent that something is protected just because it's written on paper. There have to be means beyond that. GOD Bless! -

I'd rather say that the dhikr encouragement refers to perceive on a deeper level, to sense the echo of something deep inside your mind and belief.
The text of this reading works very much as a mirror, not actually creating the sunlight (our spirit, ruuh, nafs...) but rather passing it on to ourselves letting us see it for our own eyes, remembering what is unfortunately buried inside most of us.
Furthermore, I do not consider the qur'?n much more difficult to memorize than any other book of this structure.
