Was that quote from me, PM ? Where did u get it from?

All im saying is, the concept of taqwa includes what you call acts of kindness. In fact, if you're in 'as-salaat' with Allah, u will have taqwa at all times.

      SaLaM PM

kindness can be lived upon every moment.
say u smile at ur employee and say thank u for the job. thats kindness.
say, u give on charity, a quit, 10 quit , how much ever u wish, thats kindness.
say, ur mom is cold and u guys are out, and u offer her ur coat, thats kindness.
say u r upset, and ur kid disturbs u, and u act kindly with him and refrain from being rude. thats kindness.
its as simple as that. its about 'not being self obsessed'. its about respecting humanity. u dont have to give off all ur money or give ur life as an act of kindness.

Yes and what if you worked in your office alone? do you go out and find someone to smile at? wtf?
And what if there are no charity shops near ur housE? do you find one to give money to ? WTF?
And what if your mom likes staying at home coz its nice and cozy and not cold. Do you send her out then bring her back in just so you can hand her the coat and be kind?????

Look. im saying there are days when you just keep to urself. and thats not a bad thing. u may be working on an assignmet or a project. For example, i have assignmets to hand in tommorow and i have ben working on them for 2 days. I didnt go out with mates. so im in my room, doing my assingments. I dont have a chance to be kind to anyone. Im just doing my assignments. do you believe God will punish me coz i wasnt kind to someone today? or is it that you are just not understanding what im saying.

peace be with you all ,
Thank you peacefulmuslim for your explaination, Quran is not for recitation only, but for understanding and doing what it commands us to do. we all understand Quran according to our own wisdom and preferences and there is a lot to choose from so debates are but normal )

Brother jaxal, lots of ifs in your discussion?
Brother mquran you say "if you're in 'as-salaat' with Allah, u will have taqwa at all times". I think taqwa of a person can only be seen throught his deed.

here are few more verses for u all

        2- Al-Baqara

262-Those who spend their substance in the cause of Allah and follow not up their gifts with reminders of their generosity or with injury for them their reward is with their Lord; on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve.

263-King words and the covering of faults are better than charity followed by injury. Allah is free of all wants and he is Most Forbearing.

274-Those who (in charity) spend of their goods by night and by day in secret and in public have their reward with their Lord on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve.

        God bless you all.

            Salaamun alaikum Nabpeace,

Yes, correct. A person in 'as-salaat' would automatically orientate his deeds to be in harmony with God's laws, i.e. taqwa. This is the whole point 'iqaamatus salaaat' twice daily.

Thank you peacefulmuslim for your explaination, Quran is not for recitation only, but for understanding and doing what it commands us to do. we all understand Quran according to our own wisdom and preferences and there is a lot to choose from so debates are but normal

            I think its 6346 verses.
