gravity vs. magnetism

    hola amigos

    I read the article "The Hidden Meaning and the Straight Path" by Ayman.
    It talked about how 'heaven' is actually a higher dimension world that exists all around us (or something like that). It interested me because it is similar to the 'brane' theory i read about in Popular Sciene magazine (great magaizne by the way). What i dont get about the article is that it mentions iron and its magnetic properties, and mentions Black Holes, and calls them powerful magnets. What it seems to be saying is that magnetic and gravitational forces are the same. But i know that they arent. But are magnetism and gravity related?
    If you can answer that, then maybe you can also clear this up for me,

    "Iron seems to give virtual photons (flux quanta) a better grip for magnetic attraction when passing through. Force carrying particles of magnetic flux are called virtual photons because unlike regular photons, they cannot be directly detected by a particle detector."

    what does "better grip" mean?
    Also, theres this passage

    "The most powerful magnets in the universe are called black holes. When a massive star goes supernova, it collapses into itself and leaves behind a black hole. A black hole is an object of such dense mass and with a gravitational field so strong that the escape velocity exceeds the speed of light. Because black holes have a magnetic field, and it can get out, this seems to imply that virtual photons travel faster than the speed of light."

    what does "it can get out" mean?
    and please explain this whole passage if you can.

      I think it's talking about the electromagnetic field around a blackhole. This is created by the taking in of an electric charge by the blackhole and the blackhole's rotation.

      If you can answer that, then maybe you can also clear this up for me,

      As only electrically charged particles emit photons, iron being what it is, when subjected to magnetic force acquires a decreased resistance to the conduction of electricity across the lines of magnetization/transverse magnetization (Lord Kelvin).

      It's talking about the escape velocity exceeding the speed of light, and photons are 'getting out' and creating electromagnetic fields...as photons are supposedly travelling at the speed of light or slower. A reason, as touched upon by string theory, are because of quantum tunneling and hidden dimensions. As the original article says This faster than light communication may imply travel through another dimension. A short distance traveled at the speed of light in a very small dimension could appear as a large distance traveled faster than the speed of light in our normal size visible dimensions.

      Another thing that might be of interest is looking into what virtual particles are and how they are 'allowed' to violate the restriction of travelling slower than the speed of light...and might I add the increasing dissatisfaction with classical physics explaining stuff as opposed to string theory...Science is constantly re-evaluating it's theories which as you know is a good thing...

      Hope this helps, you could always PM bro Ayman as well. Btw I like pop science, I also liked a magazine back in the day, called omni...I think it was discontinued.

          Magnetism can be described as the physical phenomenon of a magnetic field. It is an invisible force of attraction that has power; it can do work, and people use it every day.             The electromagnetic radiation emanating from black-holes were the result of Quantum Entanglement between a virtual-real photonic pair. Basically, the real-photon goes in the blackhole and gets raped by it; its entangled pair the virtual-photon's state is therefore affected by the rape process and is subsequently observed by our cool telescopes which is how we 'see' black-holes (I think that's what the article means about the electromagnetic field "getting out&quot. It was Mr. Hawkings who discovered this and lost a bet involving a year's subscription to Playboy.

            This doesn't really suggest that virtual-photons are faster than the speed of light, but rather that Quantum Entanglement doesn't really care about spatial seperation.

            SC in terms of leading theoretical physics, Classical Physics is nothing but a school lesson anymore. String Theory is pretty and all but has no corroborating evidence.

              I think you must read " The Philadelphia Experiment" which is a novel.. Though its a novel i think it speaks about Gravity and Magnetism.. It seems that in 1942 Einsteen did an experiment which created Antigravity efeects Levitation Optical invisibilty etc.. Einsteens incomplete theory (last one seems
              to deal with these stuff) The book says Because the results of the experiment was disastrous the project was discarded.... Dont know may be its just another conspiracy theory.. I rated the book as unbelievable..
