They too can do so. Has not Elena been an example of what you inquire of?

                    Peace be upon you Saladin,

i mean what is the role of the non-muslims on this forum

I can only give you my answer to this. If you translate the entire sentence above to english, then it will help to answer itself. the word "muslim" comes from the root word meaning PEACE (s-l-m). By adding the prefix "mu" we are saying that a "muslim" is one of peace, more directly a person whose goal is peace. This type of person will strive to debate without arguing....and we can go on and on about that but this is the foundation of it. A "muslim" is not a religious sect, so even when we discuss our sister Elena, from my experience with her, I find her to be a woman of peace(muslim).

Now, as for those who are not about peace, well, I have seen some come, but they dont last long, they usually get burnt out mentally and emotionally.

                        Hi,

I believe, as I?ve mentioned before, that this forum is among the best discussion forums around, concerning islam.
It is not perfect in my eyes, but it is very much up to the participants to make it as good as possible.

Forum rules are simple and straight to the point, but even so, we, the participants here, will never be able to follow the rules 100%.
This has been tolerated by admin, as it also should be, but no matter what, admin has the final say in what is tolerated and what is not, in order to keep the forum according to the intentions as spelled out by, among others, idolfree1.

Admin may be ?right?, or ?wrong?, in many single instances, but we are visitors here. We may therefore advice, but not enforce anything, or claim that admin is not handling things ?correctly?.

It is like when you enter a home that someone has built/created/established, you may not like everything you see, you may even suggest alterations etc., but you should not attempt to forcefully change anything to your liking, or tell the owner that he/she is not handling his/her home properly. If you don?t like the place, if it becomes unbearable to you, then leave. This is an option open to everyone.
But if you find that this is a place you feel at home in, then you are invited to stay on.

How would you like it if a bunch of people came in to your home and started yelling at, and scolding, each other? And claiming they know better than you how your home should be?
Why not treat this place the same way you feel your home should be treated by visitors?

                        Regards

                        Ali Omar

That is indeed the correct definatio of muslim according to the Quran.

                                Hi
I think a muslim is one who believes and submits to one God and lives a righteous life.
A better muslim would be one who , in addition to the above, lives by the guidance of Quran.

                                Peace!

Just to point out, the word muslim does not come from s-l-m. Its Islam that comes from those root letters.
