    hi,

I do not think we have scientific evidence about this. Also we know that nobody knows (including the Prophet) the future according to the Quran. Alot of these future predictions have been attributed to the Prophet through the Hadith, which are historical records of the Prophet and not Revalations as people claim them to be.

          Peace all,

The planet mars, when observed from the earth, has this kind of behavior ie. seeming to go in the opposit direction. This is caused simply because of the relative movement of the earth and mars around the sun.

It's the reason why copernicus (or maybe galileo) has stated that the earth is not the centre of the system, but instead it is the sun.

And this illusion happens regularly, not only once.

i read about mars changing its rotational direction some time ago. But where does it say in the Quran that that'll happen?

"If it's not in the Qur'an then it's not that important"

              End of story, no?

The only thing that is scientifically known that can in any way be construed to fit this "prediction" would probably be the likely pole shift to occur as we reach the outer edges of the milky way. When the magnetic poles shift, it could, in a round about interpretation, be said that the sun will rise in was was once the west.

Still, even that's a major stretch

Its interesting that the initial maps of the world produced by muslims were up-side-down as compare to the maps we have today......does it suggest something?
