I haven't yet, but I plan to. I've read some of socrates work, just some, and then some of descartes.
I'm amazed of how these guys think. How observant they are.
But, why do you ask?
I ask because the bleak, meaninglessness of life which they experience echoes what you've said above. Congratulations on reading philosophy. Philosophy stimulates the questions which al-quraan will then answer.

To be honest, I approach the quran as if it was a philosophy. That's the best method I know.
I feel the only reason al-quraan isn't 'allowed' in the field of philosophy is that it would blow apart current philosophical trends.
By the way, have you heard of Osho?
I read 'sex and the superconsciousness' about 14 years ago. Its the only book of his i've read.
