    Salam all,
Most people believe that miracles must be supernatural events coming from out of this universe which violate the existing laws of physics. But is this really so? Lets take the miracles as mentioned in the Quran. Imagine GOD calculated from the beginning before the big bang to give Solomon the power to communicate with the animal kingdom. Thus the genes were at first inactive in his ancestors and finally were activated with him. This happens today when two white persons suddenly give birth to a black child because the ancestor of one of the two parents was black. Genes may skip a number of generations before their traits actually turn out. But this was a simplified example. Imagine the genetic code for Mary?s virgin birth was already present spread in the collection of mankind of her ancestors. Imagine that with GOD?s intelligent calculation those pieces of genes came together exactly at the time and place in a chaste woman from whom Jesus was to be born. Imagine that the stick Moses used which turned into a snake and could split the see on being struck by water carried tremendous energy which was loaded in by collective genes, put together by sophisticated calculation from the very beginning before the big bang. Then no intervention would be needed, yet the miracles would occur at their given time. In fact this would be marvellous. Now I believe that all the miracles as mentioned in the Quran will occur again some time in the future. Once again the genes may carrying the specific information to give birth to a child without male intervention may occur in a chaste woman. That child may possess healing powers of certain kinds too through all implanted in the gene code. Imagine Moses? stick would be found by a chaste archaeologist or so. What an awesome sight would it be to behold the stick split the great waters in the oceans or perhaps even be able to split the soil? Or if it turned into a serpent and swallowed all the evil doers collectively? Now imagine WE, yes WE were already carrying parts of those genes in us. Just imagine we might actually be carrying those genes which would result in an awesome miracle somewhere and somehow in the future. Thus we may GW experience the true Power of GOD and I believe this to be so. Only then would the Quran?s accounts truly make sense and that is why I believe GOD mentioned them. THEY WILL REOCCUR BY HIS WILL. The Quran is already proved by code-19. Now all that is left is to release those other miracles mentioned in it one by one and soon the people would realize the awesome power of GOD. GOD who can plan all things from the very beginning. GOD Bless!

      Peace,

Have you sold the movie rights yet? Naming rights? "The GM Stick that changed the Universe"?

I'm sure the movie would be popular with Islamists esp if you could write in the "Mahdi" finding this stick somehow (I have some ideas but it would spoil the plot to just write them), and using it to beat the infidels with a death ray that emerges from it when he and Jesus mk. II hold the stick together and stroke it.

The "stick" may be closer to you than you think. So much so that I'm beginning to think you may have to get your hand off it!

      Regards.

Are miracles important in any way? This is something that puzzles me all the time, because religious people of all stripes (including some of us) crave miracles.

JK- Accounts of miracles and hence the miracles themselves are significant and important IF THEY ARE MENTIONED IN AN AUTHENTICATED SCRIPTURE like the mathematically coded Quran, YES then they are. GOD Bless!

            peace be upon you JK,
please try to understand that the stories in the Quran are there because they have a message. A lesson we can learn. They're not there because God wanted to prove to us that He can perform miracles. The miracle part of them is not important at all.

              Peace,

I think ultimately that's what people miss.

The book itself is amazing. That the God should reveal a book to humans is sign enough. Whether the book contains so-called miracles is irrelevant. Just like people may deny other signs, they can deny the God with or without the so-called miracles.

Those who are miraculists today are the same type of people who demanded them from the prophet. They cannot believe except if they see a miraculous thing.

              Regards.

Personally I tend to agree with Truth and phoenix, but I allow for miracles. Although I don't consider them to be that important.

I agree with bro Andya. Miracles or supernaturals may be helpful to certain degree, but I don't view it as being the "proof" of being a sign of truth. If GOD wants me to believe in miracles and supernaturals, I don't have to use my mind to think and contemplate (well, the way I view it, miracles and supernaturals are not logical). But hey, that's just me. I'm not saying for certain that miracles don't exist okey? wink

                    Wasalaam,

I accept your logic 100%, but I hope it does not also mean that those history facts mentioned in the Quran did not happen for real?

we don't need to prove they are miracles of the past because we can easly see the miracles of the present in ourselves and all around us, so the miracle part of these stories is not really required for us, I agree

                      peace

                        Peace be upon you all,

This message is about understanding our nature and correcting our behavior so we can be happy and successful. What in the hell does a real stick turning into a snake do for us? Does David Copperfield make you feel like doing good? Watching Wild Kingdom on the TV is enough of a "miracle" for me.

Look at the wild ideas we come up with to justify these superhero stories. Stop taking these stories literally and start understanding your own BEING.

                          Salam all,
Only GOD knows what we require or not. Remeber that Abraham although being a ratiuonal thinker who came to believe a GOD yet asked for a further sign/miracle to reassure his heart
Abraham said, "My Lord, show me how You revive the dead." He said, "Do you not believe?" He said, "Yes, but I wish to reassure my heart." He said, "Take four birds, study their marks, place a piece of each bird on top of a hill, then call them to you. They will come to you in a hurry. You should know that GOD is Almighty, Most Wise."
Thus every believer needs reassurance. Stating otherwise would be arrogant. Yes i agree those who deny GOD keep asking for miracles consistently and then continue to deny if they come. Thats the point. Nowehere does GOD say in the Quran that we are not allowed to ask for miracles and whats more important is that once we receive them we are to appreciate them. GOD Bless!

The story you gave to us is incorrectly translated.

It speaks of mans need for VERIFICATION. Very important word!

And what you need to realize is that the God does give VERIFICATION. Not with sticks truning into snakes, or numberically coded books, but by showing us that when we purify our thoughts and TRAIN THEM to respond to the call when we are at the crossroads of life, then we become AWAKE, not dead. Most people are sleep, allowing thought drift to continue and therby allowing indescriminate ideas of be planted in thier spirit.

There is nothing in this verses about killing birds, the birds were TRAINED, then each one placed on a mountain, then called and they responded due to the TRAINING.

The God is telling us that in order to awaken, TRAINING of our RESPONSES is necessary.

I started a thread in the salaat section about the 5 steps of every event, please read it to get more info.

JK- Sorry bro. I cant agree with you since the numerical miracle in Quran is obvious to me and many others. And the above verse is not incorrently translated. Thats exactly what it means, literally. Ofcourse if your bent on symbolism then you can just symbolize each and everything as you like without consistency whatsoever. GOD Bless!
