    Salaam everyone,

I hope all of you have a happy new year and that it brings peace and prosperity.

I just thought I'd also mention that there's been a lot of 'fights' and 'word throwing' among members recently. This person claiming it's that ones fault, the other saying they started it. It's really a shame and childlish, I think, the way some of us behave. Hey, I think I've done it several times myself. You'll see a member attacking another on a new thread about something that happened in another thread. What's going on? Can we discuss something in a civil manner? Can we ignore or say "Peace" to someone harrasing us and just leave the subject/thread?

Personally I find myself removed from the board in the past month or so. With constant bickering and complaints, I don't even feel like participating... atleast not with the enthusiasm I used to have. Every morning this would be the first thing I wanted to do, when I'm at home or work. Now I find myself actually avoiding it. But that's just me, and I dont mean to depress others with my thoughts and rants. But I do sincerely hope that we can start afresh and leave 2005 where it is. I hope that we can be more productive even in discussions, share what we learn and truly be forgiving.

    Peace brothers and sisters. )

      Peace be upon you Zenje,

      I back that up 100%

I do not exclude myself from the problem, and I will certainly work to transcend the animal vigourously. I wont say this year because it will be life long.

I understand what you say about being excited about the forum. I have been through this as well. Two things, joy comes from within, not from any object, if the object gives you joy, then when it is taken away you are left with sadness, your peace is taken away. So dont let the forum be a source of joy, command JOY within your being, then come share your joy with us and help uplift/ressurect the forum once again. Number Two, we have to stop feeding the animals at the zoo. When they dont get nourishment to keep going, they look elsewhere for food. I hope you get the metaphor. D

Thanks Zenje for the well needed reminder.

            Hi zenje,

I hope all of you have a happy new year and that it brings peace and prosperity.

Happy new year to u too!

Can we ignore or say "Peace" to someone harrasing us and just leave the subject/thread?

            My apologies, Zenje!
Sometimes, one is accused of being rude coz u chose to ignore a post. So, its a no win situation. But then, u r right. There is no sense in arguing pointlessly. I hope never to go down that road again.

Personally I find myself removed from the board in the past month or so. With constant bickering and complaints, I don't even feel like participating.... Now I find myself actually avoiding it.

            My apologies, again, Zenje.
I hope, in future, I am never the reason for such detachment from the forum that u love. I apologise for my bit.

But I do sincerely hope that we can start afresh and leave 2005 where it is. I hope that we can be more productive even in discussions, share what we learn and truly be forgiving.

            I hope so too.

            Peace!

              peace

my apologies and a happy new year to anyone i have offended!(not intentionally of course)

I think Zenje is right. Let's not let our emotions come between our discussions (does that make sense?). Let's keep a clear and calm and free mind when we discuss things on this forum.

                  Peace to all

New Years is still observed as the Feast of Christ's Circumcision by some denominations
                  http//wilstar.com/holidays/newyear.htm
I was 5 years old when my Christian friend Heroes ( Armenian )was 6 years old. We were living in middle of high hills in skirt of Zagross mountains in west of Iran on border with Iraq. Our toys were colourful stones and our play was climbing hills and dig out cracked soil which mushrooms were hide. One day Heroes asked me if I am circumcised. I did not know what he means and asked what?
He said that my mother said to him that Moslem circumcise their sons. I did not know anything and ask more . He pointed to my ?.and said show it to me and I tell you if you are Moslem or not. I showed to him and he sai no your not circumcised and your are not yet a Moslem. Then he said to me he knows how to do it . I agreed he circumcises me and change me to Moslem.
He asked me to sit and then pull my short. He put a stone and lay my ? on it and beat it with another stone in his hand.
                  cry cry
Bleeding and lot of pain and so.

That was my first lesson from Shia which call themselves Moslem falsely like their original cult source Sunnis.

Majority of us follow our parent tradition with a new brand name God Alone Quran Alone.
Taking off of one tradition and falling in trap in other tradition is not new.
Changing belief needs complete disconnection from parent false doing other way we are another generation of modern Hadithist .under cover of God Alone Quran Alone.

                  Happy Solstice
                  Peace
                  Bahman
