    As Salaam Alaikum,

Yea I know, lonnnggg time. My bad. I was being lazy... what irony, considering the fact that this is very short chapter compared ot others. o

    Here are my notes

NOTICE-- the following are just NOTES on specific ayats of Surah 13, in NO WAY are they meant as actual quotes. These are only comments and descriptions!

131- Again Allah confirms that these are the verses of a book.

132- Allah sets himself on the throne and regulates all affairs.

133- The night is a veil o'er the day.

    134- Talks about crops

136- Lord is full of forgiveness and is strict in punishment.

138 Allah knows what every female bears and how the wombs falls short or exceeds (in time)

1311-- Allah will never change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.

I swear I love the ayats that say that! I am so SICK of hearing people putting ALL responsibility on Allah, as if they themselves have no will power or control over their lives. They literally believe in doing NOTHING to change themselves, but instead just say "It's up to Allah".

From getting tested for STDS, to not going to school on time. They all say, "It's up to Allah if I get an STD or not" (yes they are that naive about things) or "It is up to Allah if I pass or not". NO RESPONSIBILITY OR PERSONAL WILL anywhere. Too bad many are ignorant of the verse above.

1312-- Allah shows the lighting by way of both fear and hope

1314-- Prayer of those without faith is nothing but vain prayer.

1335- The Garden is the end of the righteous; and the end of the unbelievers is the fire.

Throughout this Surah it talks about the Covenant of Allah and how people don't fulfill this. Could someone please tell me what is the Convenant of Allah?

    Read surah 14 tonight. D

    salaam

this is one of my favorite suras in the Quran, I love it sister especially the verses about Allah signs to us, many of them

also 1311 is a great reminder to all of us that keep whining about why Allah does this to us

      Allah bless you sister
