Power and forces
What would it take to make ignorance, pain, fear, depression and all suffering disappear?
For the last two weeks I have been reading about the Buddhism practice (http//buddhism.kalachakranet.org), a system that I roughly new what it was about. Reading through the pages on that website, I understood that suffering in life was identified as the main obstacle towards enlightenment. I realised that I support many of the ideas and concepts that are adapted by Buddhism. (Does that make me a Buddhist?)
However, I did not find that magical explanation which I am so convinced of its existence. Just like scientists who are looking for a unifying theory, the magical theory of everything that would explain life with a simple beautiful equation. I too, am in pursuit of the magical realisation that would not need a life time to be achieved. A realisation that breaks the barrier between the known and the unknown. A realisation that is transforming and uplifting, yet perceivable and could be absorbed by the common mind. I believe in simplicity, in the beauty of the simple perfection and the harmony that no matter what, remains unshakable. The Buddhism way of life sprung from a man 2,500 years ago in India, he realised and pin pointed the essence of human?s suffering then went on a journey seeking answers to what he was determined to understand. To my understanding, he asked the right questions, he narrowed down his existence, and his being, his perception, and his mind to suite his focus. He achieved enlightenment using the force of determination, a force that his life was wrapped around. He might not have realised that the force he possessed was like a collapsed sun that its mass was compressed to the size of a single tiny, minute point. The point was his desire, his question, his opsession. He did not realise that he had created a mental black hole.
The mental black hole!
Loosely speaking, a black hole is a region of space that has so much mass concentrated in it that there is no way for a nearby object to escape its gravitational pull. Once a giant star dies and a black hole has formed, all its mass is squeezed into a single point. At this point, both space and time stop. It's very hard for us to imagine a place where mass has no volume and time does not pass, but that's what it is like at the centre of a black hole.
The point at the centre of a black hole is called a singularity. Within a certain distance of the singularity, the gravitational pull is so strong that nothing--not even light--can escape. That distance is called the event horizon. The event horizon is not a physical boundary but the point-of-no-return for anything that crosses it. (http//www.eclipse.net/~cmmiller/BH/blkbh.html)What Buddha, Shakyamuni or Gautama Buddha has done is concentrating his being, his desires, his hopes, his existence and all he knew into a single point that represented his question, he created a mental black hole that stopped time and faced him with a pure universal wisdom. He tapped into a reality that was hidden form human beings. He realised that human beings are suffering because their understanding of reality is so dependent on their perception, and their perception is dependent on senses that they have no control over. Behind human being?s senses is a force, a force that was created to prison them into a subtle reality. Life, or what we think of it to be, is merciless. The powers and the forces that are fuelling it are behind our understanding and control.
We are internally trapped inside a mental reality that is focusing on a time-space restricted realm. Ours is a reality that has a beginning and an unknown end; a here, a there and a distance that is in between. An A to Z kind of thing. Our thoughts are dependent on what we know, and what we know always convince us to be the ultimate, yet instant truth. We are hovering over a reality thinking that we know it and being part of it. We are busy flying in time and in different direction towards an end that we fear. However, should we stop and focus on the reasons behind our sad exited actions, our aimless and possessive desires and our existence; this focus could create a mental black hole that is capable of stopping time, unify space and tap into the universal wisdom.
The story does not end here, it has just begun. The summery of which is, could human thoughts create a tense gravity that allows the thinker to escape his own realised reality and attract/trap universal wisdom? Could the mass of thoughts collapse, like a star, and cause both space and time to stop? Could the mass of thoughts create a singularity that there is no way for a nearby object to escape its gravitational pull? And finally, could the mass of thought engulf life and its wisdom?
To be continued???.

Very interesting. Our perception is our prison. I'll buy that. But I have to ask, is it a prison of necesity. as uch as you I suppose I would love to uncover that golden key to unlock the door into "enlightenment" or "universal knowledge" but at the same tie, I also wish to live out my time here on earth among my fellow humans. Would unlocking that door and gaining that knowledge make it unbearable to live among those that cannot understand or perceive in anyway what you have learned to experience? A double edged sword. You can either spend life in the here and now among those you were sent here to exist with, comfortable in the thought that eventually you will die and at least most of lifes questions will be answered in that death, OR you can go about spending al your tie thinking and contemplating on how to get your hands on that key and gain all that knowledge before you are supposed too. As the saying goes, curiosity killed the cat. It is one thing to contemplate these things, it is another to miss life in persuit of that which will come with death anyway
Just a thought

Interesting. But how come you sounded, and you seemed to have fully understood what I meant? Never mind.
The thing is, you are making a simple mistake by assuming that it would be unbearable to live among those that cannot understand or perceive in anyway what you have learned to experience. The second thing is you are ignoring that fact that some of us have no choice but to search for that golden key. You might not be one of them, that is why you said "comfortable in the thought that eventually you will die and at least most of lifes questions will be answered in that death" I for one would tell you that my comfort is in gaining the knowledge now. Just like a scientest, or a doctor, they could not say why bother, the discovery or the cure would be revealed when we die. We are intellgent human beings, the only one on this planet. And the knowledge is out there, waiting for us to grab it, would you than rather lay down you tool (Intelligence) and enjoy the unknown till death explains it to you?God bless

I DO understand all of what you say and I do seek the golden key, but I seek it in experience and observation. No time to sit and think LOL. The reason I stated the unbearable is simply based on an old friend of mine. He is/was (not sure what has becoe of him) a super genius. He seemed to perceive the world in such a way, that he had a hard time conversing about the simplest things with people. he was almost on another plain. I can't wuite describe it, but he was fully aware of it yet could not seperate himself from what he saw and knew (which was seemingly EVERYTHING) He often found it quite frustrating ad very lonely. Even among nuclear physisists he was above their understanding. I suppose that is why no one knows what became of him. he just kind of disapeared, probably in search of a single person to talk to on his level. Once in a while I could get on his level or at least meet inbetween, but those occasions were few and far between. I would not WANT to be him, yet I still seek to be him in my own way

Being him in your own way sounds great to me. Yet I do not understand why he could not balance between commons and what he knew. I can not imagine it that way, but then again, I have never been there, so I can not say for sure. I also have my own way, simple and clear, but sometimes I realise that it is not simple or logical to others. But I keep on going without hesitations/choice.
Bless

he just perceived everything in such a way and added to his super genius status, he just had a hard time undestanding why no one else could see things the way he could. He was a uber-intelectual. nicest guy in teh world, but very lonely. No one could stay in a conversation with him very long as it always ended up over everyone's head. He knew philosophy, advanced mathamatics, nuclear science, phisiology, quantumn physics, ,olecular biology, literature, art, EVERYTHING!! As much as you would love to be him, you could always SEE how lonely he was and how he longed for a companion on his level.

And you are trying to tell yourself that you have learnt the lesson and your would rather live with the commons and ignore the very experience you yearn for. I could buy that, but not for long. Could you tell me more about him? Did he write any books, websites? Would you like to talk about him? How did you get to know him?

I have searched the world of google over a thousand times looking for him. I would love to see him again but even his family has no idea if he is alove or dead. he enjoyed being off the grid so it's he's a hard bird to track. As far as I know he did publish but never under his given name. he wouldn't tell me what name he used either LOL. Geniuses are weird. I met him through another friend. I could never be even close to being anything liek him. though I don't consider myself a dope, I definately do not have his kind of mind. Last I knew he was on maui but that was nearly ten years ago. no one has heard from him in that long. he could be anywhere. I know he wanted to leave Maui, for the simple reason that the library sucked LOL. there is not much to tell. He is the kind of chap you have to actually meet to know anything about. One of a kind for sure.
