Mate, the above was just an opinion due to the fact I don't believe that there are two persons in the name of Gog and whatever who will break a wall and come out like mad on earth, while it is still a possibilty, I believe it happened already in the image of any mischiefer on earth
no furher proofs bro, it is just an opinion, I may be wrong though, howevevr I'm not following a belief here becsause I'm not required to believe what are they, i'm just trying to know the history and as you know history is history and will always be hard to confirm beyond doubt

In Chapter 18 it is used to denote ancient tribes WHO USED TO EXIST LONG AGO.

In the chapter entitled "The Prophets", the term appears again, and denotes the geographical region where they used to live.
With all due respect, I think you guys are taking this "metaphoric" or "symbolic" interpretation of some verses a bit too far.

I meant they already came out in the past, i.e. they are not metaphoric in the past, this was just an opinion rergarding any michiefer now days, I consider him/her exactly like them
this means I don't consider them a metaphor, rather they existed for real in the past, but again they might come back with the will of Allah, I don't really know neither I'm required to believe they existed or not as long as I don't sepculate on the subject and push my ideas to the others

It seems to me that it is more hilarius to see people going for anything that they would never go for if the ordinary human walked up to them and told them about.
If your friend walked up to you and said they just threw a stick and it turned into a snake, you wouldnt even entertain the comment.
How convinent all this stuff happenned in the past.
Myself, I am interested in the truth underlying these metaphors as to how to conduct my life RIGHT NOW. I'm still waiting for someone to explain what benefit there is to knowing that there were people were enslaved inside an iron barrier. How does hat effect your behavior TODAY?

about the metaphors in the quran,
i think everything in the quran is there for a reason. Its not just a bunch of stories meant for entertainment. Everything, whether it actually happened or is fictional, has a meaning. Everything has a lesson. And sometimes, to learn that lesson, you have to take things metaphorically.
All the people in the quran, whether real or not have some kind of metaphorical significance. -

Yes, understanding the brilliance of the metaphor does not equate that we should know all the answers. But at least you are not wasting time searching for ARKS and IRON barriers.

that's what my mom used to tell me.
And i think several different ancient "arks" have been found according to the pictures i've seen floating around on christian and islamic websites.And yes, i've still got a lot to learn (and i actually do learn something new everyday) and i hope we'll find all the answers some day.

Not everything you read in the Koran is metaphoric.
There are some verses thet describe past historic events like wars or conquests.
The "wall" mentioned in Chapter 18 is a military rampart built to block a natural pass between two hills or cliff faces. There is nothing extra-ordinary or mythical about it. It's the people who interpret verses that turn truths into myths.
Gog and Magog do not exist anymore. They perished long ago. Nowhere in the Reading does it say that they will appear again.
Enough said.

the words appear in 1894 and 2196 and according to my limited understanding can in both cases be interpreted as some natural phenomenon that can be constrained by building a natural barrier.. could be some rivers that carry toxic substances to harm crops or something along that lines.. but Allah knows Best.

I think the stories in the Qur'an were included for a purpose.. It's my understanding that they were included as a reminder/evidence of the message's truthfulness, strengthening the believer's belief in Allah and the message and the certainty of the hour whenever it comes.
