Peace bro "bmbmm",
Thanks Bro!
I am registering with the site.
Peace
JK- Ok. Btw i just like to ask you one qs. Do you believe the big bang theory to be true and that the earth is billions of years old? If not then what do you believe regrading this? Thanks. GOD Bless!
-
I believe from my understanding of the Quran, that the "Big Bang" occured.
"Do the unbelievers not realize that the heaven and the earth used to be one solid mass that we exploded into existence? And from water we made all living things. Would they believe?" 2130
Contemporary scientists also claim the universe is expanding. The Quran also supports this;
"We constructed the sky with our hands, and we will continue to expand it." 5147

The End is NEAR perhaps? -)
Repent ye believers?
But Koran is not a science book. It is only a spiritual guide to humanity. To derive science from it will undermine its spiritual value...

Peace "Lotetree",
But Koran is not a science book. It is only a spiritual guide to humanity. To derive science from it will undermine its spiritual value...
Regards,
JK- I agree with the 1st part. The Quran is not a book of science BUT a book of SIGNS. But your 2nd statement is totally incorrect. 1st of all "what is spiritual?". Things out of this world(extra dimensional things/objects)? Well aint they matter too then in that dimension? So is spirituality relative or is everything spiritual?
Why dont you nderstand the simple fact that the only way the true Word of GOD can be known is by relating in it things WHICH CAN BE OBSERVED ON OUR ENVIRONMENT AT A LATER STAGE AND SEEN TO BE TRUE? Otherwise all religious books are true and the actual Word of GOD wouldnt be unique. So the Quran mentioning scientific facts does NOT undermine it's moral/spiritual values by any means. GOD Bless! -
Hello jonny?
Is the you Khizar, the ID KHIZAR?
What happend to the ID bit and khizar?Peace "Lotetree",

Then why go any further ?
Why dont you nderstand the simple fact that the only way the true Word of GOD can be known is by relating in it things WHICH CAN BE OBSERVED ON OUR ENVIRONMENT AT A LATER STAGE AND SEEN TO BE TRUE?
But according to you (the last time I spoke to you) that whole world is an illusion! So what are you observing in the Environment Khizar? What is the point of it all if the world you see is an illusion?

While the Quran may not be your typical "science" text, it does contain scientifically relevant information and scientific facts. Obviously, these facts do not 'undermine' or in any way detract from the spiritual message.
Here is an excellent example;
"And your Lord inspired the bee build homes in mountains and trees, and in (the hives) they build for you... From their bellies comes a drink of different colors, wherein there is healing for the people..." 1668-69Certainly, if one wanted to learn in great detail about bees and the healing nature of their honey, then it would be smart to find a book specifically on the subject. Otherwise however, the above verse serves as both helpful medical advice, as a reminder of God's Greatness, and as a topic for reflection about the nature of God's universe.
P.S. It may be of interest to some that honey is now being applied to the skin of burn victims in place of "modern" treatments.

Peace "Lotetree",
Hello jonny?
Is the you Khizar, the ID KHIZAR?
What happend to the ID bit and khizar?JK- Well as you can see i changed my ID to Jonny K because that is easier to pronounce for the western English speaking people. Therefore this shall be my nick from now on.
But according to you (the last time I spoke to you) that whole world is an illusion! So what are you observing in the Environment Khizar? What is the point of it all if the world you see is an illusion?
Regards,
JK- By illusion i mean something which is simulated, a simulated reality so to say which has NO EXISTENCE ON ITS OWN. It is controlled entirely by the simulator and the laws which work here too. The Quran must therefore describe how the surroundings of this matrix work if it is truly GOD's Word and so it does. GOD Bless!

Honey may have its benefit but giving honey to babies causes Botulism. Still want to derive science from Quran?

You lost me there. Simulated reality? Is that not an illusion?
The Quran must therefore describe how the surroundings of this matrix work if it is truly GOD's Word and so it does. GOD Bless!
So we are living in a matrix like the film "Matrix"? But matrix is an illusion is it not in that film?
And can you prove the existence of matrix from the matrix itself?
I thought you have to be "unplugged" from the Matrix for you to know it for sure that "Matrix" existed.

Honey may have its benefit but giving honey to babies causes Botulism. Still want to derive science from Quran?
Absolutely. Because,
- I stand by the fact that there are scientific facts in the Quran. You can not deny them either.
and,
- Infants should be fed according to the Quran and this is also backed up by modern science;
"...It takes two years (of intensive care) until weaning..." 3114
Which means, mother's milk. Modern science, medicine and also nutrition companies recommend this. Don't get me wrong though -- as I mentioned before, the Quran is not a replacement for detailed medical texts.

Absolutely. Because,
Are you sure? Then this is not scientifically correct I think

i agree with lotetree that Koran is not a science book. It is only a spiritual guide to humanity.
for comparison this is how the other scholars have translated these verses
5147- With the power and skill did We construct the Firmament for
it is We Who create the vastness of Space5147-With the power and skill did We construct the Firmament for it is We Who create the vastness of Space.
5147-We have built the heaven with might, and We it is who make the vast extent (thereof).
5147. With power did We construct the heaven. Verily, We are Able to extend the vastness of space thereof.5147-And the heaven, We raised it high with power, and most
surely We are the makers of things ample.- Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth
were joined together (as one unit of Creation) before We clove
them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they
not then believe?
2130- Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were joined together as one united piece, then We parted them? And We have made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?
21;30-Do not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the
earth were closed up, but We have opened them; and We have
made of water everything living, will they not then believe?2130-Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We parted them, and We made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe?
2130-Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of Creation) before We clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?
if we search into older translations of quran we dont find any explosions or expansion mentioned in them, such translations are a recent attempts to make some verses compatable with scientific discoveries. God doesnt update quran but we certainly do by giving new meanings to the verses.
According to my understanding it is the best book for spiritual/moral guideline for humane beings .peace.

Honey does not come from a bees belly. The worker bees create enzymes in their bodies which they fuse with the flowers' nectar which then turns into honey. So technically, at least half of the honey does come from the "bellies" of the worker bees.
However, some translators do not use the word "bellies". I would be interested to learn of the specific arabic words used in this verse...
(EDIT Clarification; IF the honey didn't come from the bellies of the bees, AND the word "bellies" is the correct translation of the arabic, THEN it would appear that the Quran is not entirely "accurate".)
Consequently, what use would believers in the Quran have for a "less than accurate" spiritual text? ?

Peace "nazz",
The worker bees create enzymes in their bodies which they fuse with the flowers' nectar which then turns into honey. So technically, at least half of the honey does come from the "bellies" of the worker bees.
JK- Eaxctly so the honey, which is a result of the chemical reaction which takes place btw enzymes of the bee and the nectar, does come from the belly. It is produced there. Both nectar and enzymes mix in the belly. The Quran is not talking about the chemicals or ingredients required for honey and where they come from but where the honey comes from and that is accurate. Claims like these have been used by atheists to twist what is being implied and thus ridiculously claim the Quran to be unscientific. GOD Bless!
