Thanks KGB, I got some canadian backgrounds and look like Italian. But its the name that people are getting more and more sensitive to. I will keep on trying America and Canada. Even my PhD professor here suggested me to try America.

    I will keep you informed.

    Peace

actually, in America it may be more a reaction to the call by citizens to keep usa jobs with usa citizens. It has been a very hot topic in politics over the last fewyears, and YES 9-11 has affected it, but the feeling has been there for sometime. Most people see it as about the same as outsourcing. Might be good for the companies but it sucks for the people trying to find jobs here.

Sawtooth I know what you are saying. I work very legallally because they can't find the right person within U.S. and certainly I don't go to U.S. as cheap labor. I believe you are watching Lou Dobbs racist programs. The guy is against everything which is not American.

myself have been jobless for more than 7 months, and now strongly believe that I am being discriminated just probably by my Muslim name. Things have changed alot after 9/11, 7/7 etc etc...I am married and expecting my first child. Its very stressful, what can I do?

so by that have u achieved what u wanted to? -)

Peace I can't say no, may be Allah has got something better for me. I agree that I got a scientific background. But with a PhD one does not need to be a scientist as far as career is concerned. PhD is an experiance that can be applied elsewhere lol

                Peace
