The Elusive God
-
I would like you all to take a moment out of your day and ponder a question
"Had I been raised in a secluded society where nobody believed in God or had ever heard of religion, would I, by my own experiences and philosophy, have come to believe in the existence of God?"
I personally don't think I would have, and if I did, God would not be a noun in the sky, but something more abstract.
I would appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks.

I think you would have. I believe that one has to try really hard to reject the notion of god. We have an in-built mechanism of recognizing our Creator. To steer away from that takes more effort and scheming. Just my opinion.Remember, God guides, all you have to do is follow.
Peace be with you.
PS - Do you think of God now as a noun in the sky? ?

To steer away from that takes more effort and scheming. Just my opinion. It is very easy to believe in a benovolent God just like we accept our biological father. But a vengeful God and Eternal Damnation? It takes a lot of incredulity and abdication of reason to make those kind of understanding acceptable.
As for the original question. I think our human minds have been designed so that it always looks for the First Cause and the First Cause being God.
This First Cause has been arrived at by application of Reason by Philosphers a very long time ago... Power Of Thought!

Peace be upon you DCS,
I agree, the God is within, the SUBJECT of all Objects. Certainly not a noun D
