Spiritualism

My salaam to you all.Well...it
s been quit some month now, that i decided to follow the quran only as my only source of religious law,but to my amasement, the same thing that made me live christianity,as well as sunnism and shiism,is the same thing that i see in this site.People dont seem to understand(maybe im the one who doesnt understand after all),you are all debating about things or subjects that are not our priority. From all this i came to realise that, what man has made out of religion is worth nothing, but the foundation on which religion is built upon is worth everything in this shortly life.Let me elaborate myself, the purpose of religion is to show us our to live with each other, helping each other as well as showing love to each other.Religions are like glasses of light,we are attracted by it not because its red or blue, but because of the good they have, but at the same time each glasses of light contain some dark side, mixed with lies,so for every fanatic who is ready to die because of his or her convictions, should also be ready to die for the dark sides and the lies they all contain. Now,i hope you all know that as long as it continues like this,we will never be united. One thing that will all unite us is if we look at all the morals that christianity has,the morals that some hadith has,or even in judaism, because so far this is the only subject that nobody can go against THE MORALS!!!!!!!.if you read the gospel of Jesus in the bible it has a lot of those(we can criticise christians as much as we want about some worshiping Jesus, but one thing we cant criticise is some morals that the gospel contains(this is what our soul will beneficiate of,unfortunately most hadith are all corrupted but they are some that you can beneficiate of,those that deals with how to act with each other,we all need to improve before ingaging ourselves in unnecessary subjects. Anyways... what do you all think about spiritualism????(it`s the base of every religion) -

As for morals, on a high level there is commonality, but as we refine don't we get into differences?
-
The weird thing is that all the differences seem to stem not from our relationship with our fellow man, but rather with the other-worldly. We shouldn't be killing each other over what God is and how to worship God or even whether God had a son. These things are God's domain, and we should let God judge such things. What is between a person and God is between that person and God, and only God can judge that relationship.
Now, looking at human relations, we find that all the religions teach very much the same thing, and honestly, it is these common values which are universal that are so often violated that it just makes one shudder.

Peace be upon you Komla,
Maintain your peace
you are all debating about things or subjects that are not our priority
I wouldnt say all. My position is foremost about having a peaceful state of mind, a response of PEACE to all events, before allowing emotions to follow. My focus is the realm of THOUGHTS, where all outer manifestations are created. Whats more important then that?
Lastly, do't asume that because this is a "muslim" forum that this is the group you are suppossed to be uniting with, no. Titles mean nothing, we unite with those who are peaceful and doing right, regardless of whatever title they give themselves. Remember, we are not of the SECTS, so called ISLAM included.

Peace komla,claurianta,idolfree and all.
Komlai agree with a lot of your post, there seems to be a common thread in all religions.which is morals/connection to truth/doing the right thing. The word spiritual is sometimes translated as 'connection'. Showing how to live/connect with each other and helping/loving each other is indeed supposed to be the essence or spirit of all religion. We must also respect the value of each individuals intellectual level and study/understanding. Unconditional love, truth and tolerance is what i think most religions point to. However in the maze of illusion and close mindedness these principles have been distorted to apply to only certain sects/peoples/viewpoints and thus create the illusion of seperateness. All existence is united by the fact it has awareness, interdependence and a need for expression.
ClauriantaYour post is exactly right,a lot of the friction comes from the arguements over the concept of god and the rituals we do for god.Yet the true 'universal' morals are indeed the essence of the rituals and how we should relate to god. As long as we try to have open/tolerant minds i hope we will not harm others in the path to understanding and practising truth.(or even our own personal truths.) Just a thought what if these common values were called 'god'?
Idolfree;your post is right on the mark,i think we should indeed be filtering our thoughts and experiences in an effort to be continually at peace with everthing.(could this be salat and its aims?See 2945.) I think we should unite with all peoples(even if they are not of our understanding or not even peaceful),by unite i dont mean doing the same harmful deeds but correcting or trying to reduce the harm caused.
Unconditional love can lay the environment for the redemption of others. I think the quicker we realise that god is not just an unseen entity and realise that we are all part of what is called god and thus are all related and somewhat interdependent the better for the individual. If we are all parts of what is called the god,why would we try to harm some parts and love other parts? Do we deliberately harm our hand if we drop something,or do we correct the mistake?
The golden rule behind all religions 'love your neighbour as you love yourself'.
Peace all.
