    Peace,

I have been on this road for a number of years now and can sympathize with every word you said...You lose friends even if it is not your desire to do so...You feel isolated & alienated...You feel uncomfortable and frustrated that many others (very intellegent) can't see or accept what you believe is so obvious and clear.

    Was it worth it?

I believe that the answer when all is said and done is a definate "yes".

Peace magi. I have had a similiar profound experience over the last year or two. You sound like you are being open-minded and that is one of the greatest steps to enlightenment, dont worry about this its a great feeling to be open to new ideas and gaining real direct knowledge. I have felt these feelings of isolation too (View any negatives that come as a learning experience and a chance for more progress.) but now i do not because we have too realise people have different levels of understanding and are at different stages in their spiritual journey. Appreciate all people,as everbody posesess beauty, possibility for progress and love in them. Giving unconditional love is its own reward. In my community some people marginalise me because i have very differing views on religion, but i try to be loving and patient even if that means compromise and some hardship on my part. I try not to get involved nowadays in unproductive /harmful discussions and try to make peace when i can. Why not try to help them learn?(gently ! )With regard to being lonely around someone you love i think i understand as im married to someone i love and we have a slightly different viewpoint on religion,i just try to be calm, patient, understanding and show lots of affection to her even if we disagree.(also try to put yourself in the other persons shoes.)
Finally there are so many wonders in nature, children, animals, technology etc...We are never alone...only in our minds.
      Hope this helps. ) Peace.

        Salaams magi,

absolutely it is something each of us feels ,especially if you are the sort who like advertising this new knowledge.

You must be proud aswell though of having realised the truth which isn't apparent to others around you .

But its best to be in a rowing boat then be drowning like so many .

        God be with you though.

        Salaams all.

thanks for all the kind replys. Is it worth it, yes im sure it is. Is it hard...unlike anything i have ever carried along the way before. Im aware that the more aware you become, the more pressure will be put on you from the Divine, the harder lessons. While it is true that nobody will be tested beyond its limits. You can be damn sure that everybody will be tested TO that very limit. And as that moves up by understanding, so does the pressure. You just dont forget about how it was like when you didnt feel that much pressure making it even harder. Being alone in a groupd of people is terrible. And even here at this place i see the same thing. Everybody is alone in each their own understanding. Something is wrong. it cannot be that we are meant to be alone like this.

          peace

peace magi. Please dont feel alone. Everything in existence is part of your family! The family of existence. Sometimes while we are saying different things in print and our understandings may seem different we are
actually saying similiar things. we must allow for differences in subjective understandings and individuality. Different interpretations can also bring new perspectives and fresher, better understandings. I think we are united by the quest to do good. And keeping an open-mind can stop this quest being intolerant and sectarian. There are probably people out there who need your help and input. we can grow and stop being lonely if we accept and help people whatever they are like within our own individual capacity.Relax and do something you enjoy. When we are tired we sometimes feel lonely. Sometimes feeling lonely is a sign you have to go out and do something to make others happy.(and in so doing you could make yourself happy too.)
please be happy, your making me a bit upset. )

              Peace Magi,

I know how you feel and what you are talking about concerning being alone on here, because thats that truth..But we are never truly Alone if we have GOD in our lives, read the Quran when you can,Pray(not salat),I mean really talk to GOD, and study the words of GOD,all those things help. And besides we really dont need any one else besides GOD and then loved ones..and as for loved ones(close family)I really dont have a problem at the time..guess Im lucky not to have been born into mainstream Islam and have a open minded wife.

May GOD be with you and comfort you....

                Peace magi

u say it's so terrible to be alone i a group of people, but may be they all feel alone

and that's what it comes down to in the end we are all alone. quran tells us so as well. there will be no relation between us and our loved ones, no possibility of interfering...

guess this is something we all have to live with, and may be part of the test is that even though we are alone, we still should care about the others around us

May the blessings of God be with you Magi.

Life is not without a meaning. It is because of our inherent belief that life has a meaning that is responsible for our intended learning.

Truth is one and it is very obvious for anyone to see if only there is objectivity of mind.

If two people are sincerely searching for nothing but the truth, there is no way they will not be together. It is not just question of interaction but love.

Magi! What you have observed here should be enough to tell you that there is still a problem that has to be addressed.

A word (it is said) is enough for the wise.

                      G'day Magi,

                      I know exactly how you feel. I've been there, and sometimes I'm still there. I also felt like this;

I perceived my ideas, beliefs, perspectives and understanding to progress while others' around me did not. I felt like I was different to them, more blessed, "superior" even?which of course is not so. Many things seemed surreal to me shop buildings, products, concepts of what was important and what was not.

I felt perhaps that I was somehow seperate from this world?maybe I took to heart too extremely the wisdom in the verses that tell us the real life is in the hereafter and that this one is nothing. But the Lord has since shown me that I am very much apart of this world, and that I am not to neglect my "share" in it.

This life is as much an enjoyment as it is a suffering, and it is precisely because of this that it is also a test?one that will indeed expose our true qualities under all circumstances. As The Lord tells us, the best way to live is to follow the "middle" way in all things. But like much of what is in this world, one can be told over and over, but until one actually experiences something for themselves, true understanding is never possible.

                        Peace Magi, All,

                        Excellent posts from everyone!

                        My humble 2 cents

                        Magi, you stated

I have many good freinds, and know so many wonderfull people. But all of a sudden, when im with them i feel alone.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you might be judging your loved ones. I don't mean that you're judging in a harsh way, but very subtly, because they don't see things the way you do. See, once we reach a level of understanding, new doors open, and we feel a need to share the exploration of these new paths with someone, especially those who are close to us.

But, as some have already stated, people are generally at different levels of understanding. In my own life, their are only 2 people I can relate to regarding the "big picture" and spirituality. At the same time, I can name 20 people who I enjoy spending time with.

Remember, this life is a gift. Sure, it's a test in striving, but it's also gift from God, filled with blessings for us to enjoy. We don't have to be super-contemplative at all times. There's nothing wrong with sharing a laugh with a loved one about something trivial.

Your loneliness is really limited to your spiritual quest. In reality, we are all alone in our quests. But, the quest does not have to consume every aspect of our lives. Just because someone is not on your wavelength in one aspect, does not mean you should feel isolated from this person, but rather, you just need to stay focused on the aspects of life that you do see eye-to-eye on.

Everyone has something to offer, even the folks that seem the simplest. It's up to you whether or not to be receptive.

                        Peace,
                        Tay
