    Peace

    concerning Mary i remember reading (in a quran translation though) that she was considered a saint.

    Now what about the term "rijalan" ? Can it be considered as "Men" (human) or only as the english "men" ?

      Peace

      When mary's mother wanted a boy to serve Allah, she was given a girl (Mary), she realized that she can't be a servent of Allah, i guess it was very well established at the time that the messengers carrying a message to humans must be men, that is why she was upset when Allah gave her a baby girl (Mary), she even said that the man is not like the woman as a cause of he saddness, i believe she meant from being a messenger of Allah point of view but we do know that the man differ from the woman in mnay other aspects, and because any message from Allah to humanity is always met with rejection and even wars, it sounds more reasonable to me that the messengers must be men, the verse posted by brother adely is a conclusive Quran evidence that it is Allah deisre to send his messages via men only. not strangly, Allah granted Mary's mother wish through Mary's son "Jesus", and yes she was named "Sediqa" in the Quran which means a female saint, which is a label given to some male messengers as well, "Sediq"

      For Elke, Rijal means "Men"

      Peace

        Peace all. I believe maryam was as much a messenger as anyone else in the quran. A messenger is anyone(male or female,young or old,human or non human.) who delivers wisdom(which can be proven or verified.) in the form of communication to others.(verbally,written,by body language etc..) If you look at some of einsteins work,i believe he is a messenger. I think there will always be new messengers and books through the ages.But we should also realise they(the books and messengers.)are all potentially fallible and incomplete,as is any attempt at explaining the divine to people in a specific time/context.And their messages can be misinterpreted.However their messages also contain great contextual wisdom and universal truths. peace all.

            Peace ALL,
            First Our definitions of what a messenger is doesnt matter,Only GOD's does..A messenger according to the Quran is a Man who is sent with a message from GOD to deliever..As AB pointed out GOD has only sent out men to deliever HIS message(those with issues on this will have to ask GOD himself when the meet Him..While women can be saints and Messengers can be saints..its like All Messengers of GOD are Saints,but not all Saints are Messengers.Maryam was a great person and a saint but she was never commisioned by GOD to deliever message to her people,but her son Jesus was.

                Peace be upon you,

                Those who DELIVER the message are described as "men" by way of SYMBOLISM. Delivery is a "masculine" principle. "Marium" symbolizes the RECEPTIVE/Female principle in all of us. It is this receptive part of us that must be taken away and shielded from "tradition" so that the God's message(masculine) can impregnate us and bring forth the WILL (isa).

                    Peace idolfree,
                    Dont mean to sound harsh or disrespectful,but that sounds alot like a bunch of New Age Wiccan BS or even Yin Yang BS.Where everything is balanced male/female,good/evil.. etc etc .In Wiccan the female goddess is not really a goddess but the female prinicple of all and the god is not really a god,but the male principle and then theres the ALL...Been there done that
                    It looks like your saying
                    GOD=THE ALL
                    Maryiam=the female principle
                    Muhammad=maybe the male principle
                    etc etc etc

                    Nothing but Wicca under the title Islaam.

                    Peace.

                      Peace all. Some of the the wiccan philosophies are superb. God is definately the 'all' ,in my opinion. We shouldnt be afraid to take true knowledge wherever we find it,and from whoever.. Peace to the female and male prophets,and all.

                        Wow, glad you prefaced that and let me know you weren't being disrespcetful D

                        Where everything is balanced male/female,good/evil.. etc etc .In Wiccan the female goddess is not really a goddess but the female prinicple of all and the god is not really a god,but the male principle and then theres the ALL...Been there done that

                        And that means what, that youve been there and done that? Did you leave that to come have blind faith in some Arab man who lived 1400 years ago and a man who lived further back who spilt seas in two? Which is verifyable, the concept of male and female properties (like positive and negative magnets/male and female/day and night), or the concept that a man spilts seas in two and changes sticks to snakes?

                        It looks like your saying
                        GOD=THE ALL
                        Maryiam=the female principle
                        Muhammad=maybe the male principle
                        etc etc etc

                        I never said Muhammad was the male principle, just for the record.

                        Nothing but Wicca under the title Islaam.

                        Why are you making everything into sects? Why not look at everything and follow that which you can verify? You think that yuo will find all that you need neatly collected into one book entitled "Jhamza, this is what you need to do"?

                        In any case, I respect what it sounds like to you, but as always, the proof is in the pudding. All I want to discuss is the PROOF, otherwise I might as well join the Christains in church.

                            Peace all

                            The Quran extensive use of the word ? ?, ?Rijal?, is very clear, it means men and it is the opposite of women as used in many verses in the Quran, here a few examples out of about 50

                            Divorced women shall wait concerning themselves for three monthly periods. Nor is it lawful for them to hide what Allah Hath created in their wombs, if they have faith in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have the better right to take them back in that period, if they wish for reconciliation. And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable; but men have a degree (of advantage) over them. And Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.

                            (22

                            O mankind! reverence your Guardian-Lord, who created you from a single person, created, of like nature, His mate, and from them twain scattered (like seeds) countless men and women;- reverence Allah, through whom ye demand your mutual (rights), and (reverence) the wombs (That bore you) for Allah ever watches over you.

                            (1)

                            From what is left by parents and those nearest related there is a share for men and a share for women, whether the property be small or large,-a determinate share.

                            (7)

                            And in no wise covet those things in which Allah Hath bestowed His gifts More freely on some of you than on others To men is allotted what they earn, and to women what they earn But ask Allah of His bounty. For Allah hath full knowledge of all things.

                            (32)

                            Except those who are (really) weak and oppressed - men, women, and children - who have no means in their power, nor (a guide-post) to their way.

                            (9

                            -> See from just these few examples, we can understand that Rijal is men and Nisaa is women, even if we have very low IQ

                            Therefore, when the Quran tells us the follwing

                            Nor did We send before thee (as messengers) any but men, whom we did inspire,- (men) living in human habitations. Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them? But the home of the hereafter is best, for those who do right. Will ye not then understand?

                            (109)

                            -> Then repeats it again

                            And before thee also the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration if ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message.

                            (43)

                            -> and repeats it for the third time

                            Before thee, also, the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration If ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message.

                            (7)

                            It must mean that all messengers were men, because the Arabic word ? ? ?Illa?, which means ?Except? or ?But?, preceded ? ? ?Rijala?, which means 100% men according to the Quran

                            See how the Quran explained itself in details?, this is what Allah meant by ?He will explain it?

                            Peace be with all

                              Peace be upon you JHamza,

                              All I want to discuss is the PROOF, otherwise I might as well join the Christains in church.

                              One Might as well join the atheist then,because one cannot prove the existence of GOD using science alone,it comes from belief in what the Quran has to say.I believe the Quran is the proof we need for the existence of GOD..The Quran is all the proof I need because it proves itself by Completing the previous scriptures and from what it says about scientific things and other things that only GOD would have known at its revealing....But if I hold the Quran up as my proof to atheist or scientest who need physical proof then I cannot prove the existence of GOD because He cannot be seen with the human eye or touched by the human hand..You have no proof of GOD or any other spiritual things except whats written in the Quran.So looking at it from that point You have no real proof..so why are you here?And it cant be because you believe ALLAH is the real GOD because youve made it plain in other posts that you see everything as symbols and metaphors..You dont believe they really exist as people,spirits etc..Thats not belief in the GOD of Islaam,thats spiritism at the least...

                              Peace,now on to something else...

                                Yes, they were decsribed in MALE terms to relate it to a message being sent out by God, or we can say a seed sent out by God to impregnate the one who is receptive(fertile). But most of us have not tended to our farm so our soil is not fertile.

                                  Peace jhamza all. You dont necessarily need the quran to believe in god. God can be verified by his effects. My existence and the existence of other powers and entities proves that the 'all'(god.) exists. Of this there is no doubt. Can anybody doubt that we and others exist and have will/power?
                                  Peace all.

                                      Peace all. You dont necessarily need the quran to believe in god. God can be verified by his effects. My existence and the existence of other powers and entities proves that the 'all'(god.) exists. Of this there is no doubt. Can anybody doubt that we and others exist and have will/power?
                                      Peace all.

                                      Peace bro

                                      if that God is the one who sent the Quran and wrote in it that we must believe in it to prosperwhen the last day comes, then for me you are showing the followings

                                      1. you don't believe Him when He said as such

                                      2. you are challenging Him by rejecting the Quran or parts of it

                                      3. you are showing arrogance against His message

                                      therefore you can't prosper in the last day, sorry to tell you that bro

                                      peace

                                        peace ab. Did you believe in god before you read the quran? Isnt the quran a reminder for what we already can now?(that god exists.) I thought the fitrah(nature.) of man(according to the quran.) was to automatically believe in god?(before the quran confirms it.) Did abraham believe in god through the quran or through his knowledge? Peace all.

                                          peace ab. Did you believe in god before you read the quran?

                                          to be honest bro, Not really, but i started with the arabic Quran at very early age and was not forced on my by any,

                                          the Quran made it far easier for me, especially the Quran warned me to watch for those who created self made gods for them based on their own desires

                                          Isnt the quran a reminder for what we already can now?(that god exists.)

                                          I see it as a reminder of what is in it regarding the laws, and what God is

                                          I thought the fitrah(nature.) of man(according to the quran.) was to automatically believe in god?

                                          not really according to the Quran but I say according to the hadith, the Quran only told us in a metaphor way that all humans witnessed that Allah is our God, it was actually left open for the mushrikon as the decleration was "He is our God", it was not "He is our ONLY God"

                                          and the Quran will make us aware of shirk and will always remind us not to come near it

                                          (before the quran confirms it.) Did abraham believe in god through the quran or through his knowledge? Peace all.

                                          Yes, but you are missing the point here bro, the Quran was not sent to Abraham, or I should say it was sent after Him according to Allah plan, Abraham received other scripture though and I'm sure he was required to believe in it as we were told to believe in the Quran as the exact words of Allah as stated in the Quran, also believing in the other scriptures were sent by Allah, beliebing in the angels, believing in all messengers and believing in the Last Day are all a must requirement in addition to believing in Allah and the Quran, for any human to prosper in the judgment day

                                          peace bro
